This location is the absolute worst! Open at 11? Sure. Doors unlock at 1105… and you wait for 15 minutes as they do all the opening procedures IE: Place serving spoons in dozens of pans, remove plastic from dozens of containers, prepare cash drawers for service, feed employees. Shouldn’t all these actions begin and 1030 – 1045 in preparation for customer arrivals? Lets get it together.

It’s a Chipotle, so you already are familiar with their excellent food and great concept. However, this location is a bit of a mess, literally and figuratively. Bear that in mind for your visit. The parking lot is a little out of control from the front entrance, so I’d suggest meandering your way to the back parking lot which is shared with the other small business complex, and using the side door. I’ve noticed that this location, in comparison with other local Fairfax/Loudoun county copies, has a tougher time recovering from meal rushes, so all too often, the tables are littered with crumbs, napkins, etc., and the trash cans are overflowing. The outdoor seating area is also kind of a disaster with the aforementioned debris, in addition to a slight bird problem. The staff runs the gamut from friendly to dismissive, depending on the day and shift on the line, so whatever. It is what it is. At the end of the wait in the always-long line, you’ll hopefully end up with your correct order(and not someone else’s); I suggest grabbing your food to-go for the best Chipotle experience from this location.

Avoid ordering online. I arrived 5 minutes after my order should have been done. They hadn’t started it and the restaurant was basically empty. Then they failed to follow the simple instructions of «put salsa on the side» as I kept saying hello excuse me while she slathered it on my burrito bowl and said«oh I thought you wanted it on the bowl and on the side». That makes no sense… Any way I give two stars because I asked for guacamole on the house(on the side!!!) and they obliged. They were nice enough too but lacking the ability to pay attention to details. I’ll go back but not order ahead so I can carefully explain simple instructions

I’ve had all my Chipotle experience in the West coast. It’s been 2 years since I’ve had Chipotle since I live in Italy. so we went in to find the front doors were propped open by a child seat. The rice was under cooked, the dining area was dirty, the trash was over flowing, there was liquid under the trash, there was this inconsiderate asshole who stole a bottle of Tobasco and another person to walk in and steal soda. The place was a disaster and it felt dirty. Witnessing customers just freely stealing items made this area a low class area.

Asdhkflsmnajs!!! The bird situation outside is gross. Bird poop everywhere. YUCK. It’s on the chairs, on the floor, the trashcans, everywhere. Im guessing they don’t ever clean the outdoor patio. There were birds flying around, picking at scraps on the floor, diving into the trashcan, etc. f that lol I left. My cubicle is far more sanitary. * Update 5⁄5 I get it, it’s Cinco de Mayo– but when I place a phone order in at 10:30AM and ask for 2 – 3 things to be put on the side, and: 1. The order isn’t ready at 12:30 2. The sides aren’t on THESIDE… I would recommend ordering inside for sure!

They are doing a lot better than before. Very friendly staff and the tomato w/cilantro is not vinegary tasting. I do have a problem with the bird poo all around the side and front of the restaurant. The birds are nesting above the whole walkway that goes from the side door, west side to the front door. It really is not very appetizing, especially when people eat outside.

DONOT order ahead of time, or place large orders in general! You will be guaranteed to wait at least 15 minutes longer than what your pickup time is, and the order will most likely be incorrect. Also, for some reason, they are always packed around noon and are ill-equipped to handle the rush. AVOID.

After a nation wide meeting, Chipotle was supposed to open up at 3pm today… this Chipotle didn’t make it to open up until 4pm. I drove all the way from a different town today(because we don’t have Chipotle there and this one is the closest) and am now waiting in front of the store for already 40 minutes! Poor management. Other than that they do not have the most skilled staff. They switch out people a lot and the new people never know how to to do it right. The restaurant itself is not very clean(food pieces are are always on the floors) and the location itself is super shabby too. I hope Herndon will open up a different Chipotle in a different location soon.

My husband and I come to this Chipotle about once a week and usually have great service. Lately the service is going downhill a bit as is the cleanliness. We love the sofritas they have, but they should switch the placement of the sofritas with the chicken because every time we go in now there are bits of chicken that have fallen into them as the spoon passes over. This could be remedied by a switch of the bins. The line is still shorter than other Chipotles and the food still tastes good to us, though sometimes the chips are stale, but I think that’s mostly in the humidity of summer time.

I used to think this chipotle was okay until I just had the worst chipotle experience ever. They were pouring bean juice and tomato juice all over my tacos rendering them soggy, they didn’t put themt together properly and theywere veryskimpy which is not like chipotle. The manager on duty, a female one, was completely aloof and all the chipotle burrito techs were very sloppy with how they handled the food. if it wasn’t for the fact the ingredients tasted great the food really just looks like crap. Do not come to this Chipotle half an hour before closing

Too many Young kids every time in the assembly line that constantly get easily distracted and not wearing the hat to cover hair as they should . I know all chipotles are busy but this line hardly moves. Not very organize staff. From the moment you walk in you feel the place dirty, tables are not cleaned, ice is overflowing in soda machine, floors and carpet a filthy covered with crumbs and dirt. Definitely not a good image for what we all know as Chipotle

Chipotle Quesarito FTW! I only order the quesarito if there is hardly anyone behind me because it takes a while to make. With all the ingredients I request in it, it’s difficult for them to wrap properly, but they’ve always done it for me and I’ve never had any complaining groans about my order at this location as I have had in other locations. I appreciate being able to order a quesarito without judgment from staff!

I have to update and bump a star down, due to the rice being very undercooked last time I went. Definitely disappointing when I sat down to the bowl full of hard rice that was still kind of watery. I’m sure I’ll be back, update once more if things improve a bit.

Damn I’m usually not stingy when it comes to chipotle. But their service here sucks. I asked for guacamole and they gave me like half and charged me full price. YO ur man needs guacamole lol don’t mess with my guac Their sauce also ran out too! And they didn’t even bother to fill it up until I asked them. They have like 10 people working and not one of them is doing their work. Pretty darn bad. ONLY reason why it has a three star is because. DAMN that burrito is so GOOD lol

Chipotle is always hit or miss, depending on the time of day and the staff working the line. One time it’ll be a bowl full of rice and barely any meat, and the next time it’s a great amount of meat and only a sprinkling of cheese. I’ve just started giving exact directions on what I want and how much of it to put on the dish, and I’m not afraid to speak up – this started after I asked for a small drizzle of sour cream and ended up with a scoop of probably a full cup worth. Try again. I visit this location mostly during the lunch hour, and the line can get super long. I sometimes order online, but nearly every time, the order isn’t ready at the appointed time and I end up waiting anyway. I’d rather just wait in line and watch them make my order, just in case.
