Tonya at the Herndon location is a truly dedicated therapist, helping young and old patients find the road to recovery. My shoulder surgery was difficult but Tonya found effective regimes to improve my rehab; anyone would be fortunate to meet with her at ACE.

What a great experience this was. I will for sure use these guys again should I ever need PT work. Tonya and her staff were warm and friendly, they new what they were talking about.
I was hesitant at first about going to a PT that I only read reviews about, after I walked in the door and was greeted by the staff and filled out the paperwork I was already feeling comfortable. They were very detailed about the insurance and deductibles and how much it would cost per visit (which I fully appreciated). The staff made you work, but also included you in conversations, the atmosphere is more like a bunch of friends getting together.
The office is always clean and well kept, at no time did I have to wait to do an exercise. They were very accommodating to my schedule and did not turn me away if I should up late or early. I felt as if their goal was my goal which was to rehab as quick as possible.
On more then one occasion while I was there ex patients stopped in to say hello and see how everyone was doing. Tonya and her staff greeted them with smiles and warmness. This is when I knew I made the right choice as I do not know of to many other practices where ex-​patients stop in just to say hello. Like myself that just means they we were left with a great impression and felt like we gained friends, and my shoulder is back to the way it was prior to the injury.

I injured my neck and arm while working out. I was recommended to this location and I am so happy I went. The staff is funny, friendly and very experienced. I feel results from the first week. I highly recommend them.

Knee Surgery Recovery to Backpacking the Grand Canyon
It all started with a sharp intense pain on the right knee directly after a slip on a muddy surface under the bridge of Braddock Road in Springfield, VA.
For those that are familiar with this area the rain causes the mud erosion to build directly under this bridge. So later in pain I went to the orthopedics office that after MRI’s and X-​rays diagnoses me with Arthroscopy of the knee (torn Cartilage).
We scheduled my surgical appointment for mid January with much hesitation because my wife and I had already made reservations on a three day backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon. My orthopedic medical doctor assured me with the proper physical therapy from ACE Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine I could hike on this trip even with the strenuous steep elevation changes.
The surgery went smoothly and immediately I was in ACE physical therapy for three days per week. All of the therapist were very understanding and respected my goal of this large looming trek ahead of me. ACE succeeded in getting my knee repaired with total confidence. Even carrying an extra weight because of the lack of water within the canyon (total 42 lbs) for 20 miles my wife and I enjoyed this venture down to the lower canyon and back up again.
My wife and I both thank you for your sincere integrity and ACE’s physical therapy team’s knowledge and skills for making this hiking trip enjoyable and successful (we have plenty of pictures too). You and your team are amazing and today I am still backpacking but now on the Appalachian Trail.
