Service is great. The people are very friendly, &if you go there as often as I do, they practically memorize your meal. I love their chicken tenders &burgers.

First of all Coleman’s BBQ should change their name to Coleman’s Café because the only BBQ in the place is a BBQ pork sandwich. I’m not sure why they have good ratings as a BBQ place. If you are looking for true for real BBQ drive on to Memphis or head on down to Louisiana. Bless your heart for calling that place good BBQ. If you want a hamburger, fries, or good breakfast food, then go ahead and try it, but don’t get disappointed when you walk into this BBQ place and there’s no ribs, chicken, brisket, etc. on the menu… cause they ain’t got it! Very misleading!!!

SERVICESUCKS! Stopped to check this place out, stood in line a long time behind a group of 4. While waiting, a person came in behind me but the cashier took his order before mine as it was apparent that she knew him. I left. There are a lot of BBQ joints in Memphis. Traveled a short distance to Tops BBQ, it was fantastic with great service! Take my advice, skip this 2 bit joint and go elsewhere.

Coleman’s is average BBQ in my opinion. Nothing particularly special, but nothing wrong with it. The meat, beans and coleslaw are all good, but the best part of the meal is the sauce. If I’m craving BBQ I’d go somewhere else. If I just want something to eat and someone suggests Coleman’s, I’m okay with it.

Absolutely the worst BBQ meal I have ever had. Didn’t even come close to finishing it before I threw out the dried out cold gross food.

This place has awesome bar b que! I grew up eating at this place it has been around a long time. The breakfast and hamburgers are also very good. Everything is served on paper plates or in baskets. It is the local hang out for senior citizens in the mornings and weekends. My grandmother was there almost everyday. So you are sure to go in get great food and hear some stories from the locals!

Coleman’s offers decent BBQ in Hernando. I was riding in the car with a friend on my way back to Memphis from Hernando when the intoxicating smell of smoked pork wafted in to the vehicle. Suddenly we were making a detour for a late afternoon BBQ sandwich. This is a counter service restaurant. Walk up and order from the menu and wait for your number to be called. Seating was available and we had some extra time on our hands so we decided to dine in. I ordered the regular bbq pork sandwich and a small order of onion rings. My friend ordered the jumbo bbq pork sandwich plate which came with two sides. He selected fries and baked beans. Here’s the run down… The pork was moist and had a nice smoky flavor. The sauce was tangy and the bun was nothing special. The union rings and fries were fine. They looked and tasted like they came from a bag but they were served hot which is always a plus. The jumbo sandwich was considerably larger than the smallish regular sandwich. A hungry pork lover should probably order the jumbo.

A very good BBQ sandwich. This Coleman’s Hot Pit Bar-B-Q has been servicing Hernando since at least 1971. The slaw and bread and meat are good. The sauce is slightly too tangy and overwhelms the flavors slightly, but overall a good job.

Coleman’s in Hernando is the local hangout, and the best BBQ going in these parts. This place is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and offers very casual dining and take-out. Prices are reasonable, particularly if you buy in bulk for home consumption. The pulled pork is the best we’ve found in the Memphis area(sorry Corky’s). The slaw is just a touch spicy. You can’t go wrong here.
