Awesome awesome service. Pretty good food but nothing outstanding. These workers know what they’re doing. they’re happy, personable, and made the whole experience worth going back and doing again! Make sure you guys leave these peeps a tip because they work hard:)

My favorite place to eat in Hermosa Beach, if you need a quick bite on the go. Staff is friendly and quick, they give great portion sizes. We usually ride our bikes there, not so much parking.

Grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms.(Melted provolone cheese) 2. Pinch of spinach, diced fresh tomatoes 3. Sprouts 4. On white(live dangerously) Sauce — ranch, and light on the honey mustard. Love pita pit. Healthy and not too expensive. The guys here are always fast and do a great job at wrapping the pita tightly. Have been to other pita pits and when they aren’t wrapped tightly they can be a mess. All the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Everything is made«fresh» in front of you, but appearances can be deceiving. I visited on a Tuesday night for dinner before heading to LAX. I ordered a pita sandwich with marinated chicken. No wait. They throw the meat on the grill and then ask what ingredients you want inside. Everything appeared fresh. But when I took a bite into the sandwich, the chicken tasted undercooked. Not wanting to risk getting sick before a fight, I asked them to make another. The guy said it can’t be undercooked because its precooked chicken. Ok well good to know their meat is not really fresh. Went through the same process. New meat was tossed in the grill. Actually seemed like it was grilled less than the first time. Added the veggies and sauce and bit in — once again didn’t taste right. This time wasn’t sure if it was undercooked or just poor quality meat. Once again I didn’t want to risk being sick and had a plane to catch so approached the counter to ask for a refund. As I walked up to the counter I was rudely asked«what’s wrong with it this time?» Not really customer«service.» Got my refund for my sandwich(paid for the chips and drink still) and left. So while most things here taste fresh(pita, veggies) the meat is poor quality. Do yourself a favor and skip this joint and its rude staff.

Bottom line up front: not as good as the pita pit it used to be before they went under renovation/management change. So skimpy with the meat! No Bueno Before pita pit went on their couple months hiatus, it was amazing. Savory, full of flavor, and they filled that pita until it was about to explode. They closed for quite sometime and I believe it was management change. Every time I walked by I would check to see when they would reopen cause I just couldn’t wait. They finally did and I can’t tell you how excited I was because i would reminisce about the night I had the pita wrap in my hand, on the verge of explosion, with sauce dripping everrrryyyywhereeee. Yaaaaaas. But no, that is not what I got. Staff was extremely sweet and nice but they were SO skimpy on the meat and veggies. I couldn’t believe it. I was so close to complaining about how skimpy they were being as they were putting the wrap together but I decided to hold my tongue because they were so kind to me. I plan on giving it another try… maybe they were nervous? Or maybe they just weren’t trained properly? I’m not sure… let’s hope the second time’s a charm.

Third time ive been here(because it’s open late) and i have to say this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Three people jumped ahead of me I will never be coming back and I highly recommend no one else goes back unless you want mediocre customer service. St pattys day 2016

I really wish I’d gotten the name of the guy who served me because this review is 110% for him! I had never eaten here before but I was working the street festival here so I stopped in for lunch. He had great recommendations on the food and tossed in all the extras for me so I got a whopping delicious prime rib pita!!! This thing was heavy and loaded, delicious! The guy was doing everything, the register and all of the cooking. He was super friendly and we chatted while he made my delicious lunch, thank you so much unnamed mister!

Good food. Horrible service. There were 3 people working during a food rush but only the girl was making all of the pitas! Ridiculous. The other two guys were just standing around. Well, one of them took our orders but forgot to give me my cup… and then forgot to give my friend his cup as well. While watching the people before me customize their pitas, they ran out of white pitas at the counter… not in the back, just at the counter. When the customer said he wanted white pita, the girl told him it would take awhile to get it and kind of made him just order the wheat pita. Once his pita was given to him one of her coworkers brought out the white pitas. If she was just willing to walk to the back then and there he could have gotten what he wanted. Everyone got white pitas, before and after him, except him. Unacceptable. After waiting about 15 minutes it was my time to customize my pita. First, they forgot to add the extra chicken I paid for and I had to remind them. They have no ticket system! How is that possible from a chain?! The guy who ordered in front of me got a spicy buffalo sauce chicken something. When they went to mix the chicken for my caesar wrap they never washed off(or even wiped off) the spatulas and got buffalo sauce all over my chicken. When I interrupted and mentioned it, the girl looked at me and was like, «Do you want me to wipe it off?» OFCOURSE I want you to sanitize your cooking utensils between orders… especially when handling chicken and bacon! So ridiculous! They also have a fancy Coca-Cola machine but almost all of the special flavors are unavailable. OH — and the kicker, once my friends and I got our pitas, they went out front to have cigarettes and ALLOFTHESMOKE came into the restaurant and into our faces where we were eating. So wrong.

I’ve had great luck and whenever I come I’m able to get a meter parking spot or even score the 15 minute parking right outside. Subway/Chipotle style fast food where they prepare your pita right in front of you. You can get all the toppings including Avocado at no extra charge!

I went here last week. The food was acceptable, but the customer service could be better. It was my first time here. All you need to do here is pick something off the menu, away you go. There is a grill that cooks the meats(or beans if you are vegetarian.) I ended up getting a Spicy Bean Pita with the Chipotle sauce. I thought it was a good option for under $ 9. The only reason I gave this place a 4 stars is that the server could have been a bit more polite, since it was my first time there and naturally I had a lot of questions.

This is a great place for a quick, rather healthy, and delicious lunch, especially if you like a Mediterranean flare, AND you can get lunch and drink for under $ 10 bucks(which is seemingly getting harder and harder to do). I prefer the gyro with double meat, spinach, alfafa sprouts, olives, hummus, extra tzatziki, and if I want a little extra bite some pepperoncinis. Also the chicken souvlaki is DELICIOUS! Only thing that gets this place down is parking/accessibility, as it is located on Hermosa Avenue. I wouldn’t recommend coming here on a summer weekend, as parking will most likely be non-existent. But during the week you can usually find a spot within 30 second to a minute walk.

**This review isn’t based on the food** Unfortunately I didn’t get to even try the food… I found this place on Unilocal last night while trying to satisfy a late-night craving. I drove from about 25 minutes away specifically excited to try pita pit for the first time after discovering it and deciding that the menu looked really good. I arrived at 9:40 on the dot, which by the way is still 20MINUTESTILLCLOSING. I know restaurants like closing early if it’s slow(I work at two), but I figured I’d make it up to them in the Tip jar and was planning on ordering to-go as well. Anyways, I get there at 9:40, and I see that they are cleaning up putting chairs away, etc, but the sign is still bright neon and says«OPEN», I politely asked«hey are you guys still open?» And the lady super rudely responds with«yeah. you really don’t want to be that customer right now» Fortunately, subway just down the street(which also closes at 3) happily served me with smiles at 2:47 when I made my way over there.

I’ve been meaning to try their sandwiches and I finally got the chance. I mulled over the menu and decided on the turkey, ham and bacon. The sandwich came with a choice of different spreads but I decided on the avocado spread. The sandwiches come loaded with all the goodies you see at subway. I loaded it up with a little bit of everything all stuff inside of a pita including double meat. The sandwich was fully packed inside the pita bread and held everything just fine. My only beef is the quality of the ham and turkey. The meat tasted very processed and low grade quality. The next time I try this place I will try the gyro, as that is what everyone is raving about.

They have new owners and now answer their phones. Although delivery ends up pretty crappy and soaked through by the time you get it. All together a way better experience.

Drunchies. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak because I wanted something cheesy and onion-y. I found out that my friend works here, so I told him to hook it UP on the onions. My words exactly, «I want a gang of gang of gang of onions… please.» I shouldn’t have said that. It was REDONIONS D: I took my first bite and I had a mouth full of them damn red onions, and they were potent as hell. I recall Philly cheese steak to have grilled yellow onions. right? :/and cheese. I don’t remember cheese either. BUT, my food was free. he did hook it up on the onions like I asked. but I probably should be sober the next time I go.

My hubby and I wandered into this Pita Pit because I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to relive my college days. In all seriousness, I haven’t eaten at a Pita Pit in something like five years, and it’s just as good as I remember. I love the gyro… it is fabulous. It’s not a real gyro, but it’s still pretty good. They also have great vegetable options so you can customize your pita with hummus, sprouts, red peppers… whatever your heart desires. Way more veggie options than Subway. I will say I found an olive in my pita, which I think wandered in there because it must have fallen into one of the veggies I ordered… gross! No biggie though. The rest of my pita was just I remembered in college. They have a small area to eat outdoors, which is nice because SoCal weather is dope. Grab a pita, eat it outside, and enjoy the rest of your day. They wrap them well enough that you could walk around or drive with your pita in hand. It’s convenient, it can be healthy, and it’s tasty… what more do you want?

I really do like Pita Pit. It’s not very fancy, but you can get a pretty filling, and healthy, meal on the go. It’s also GREAT drinking food if you’re not in the mood for pizza. I usually load up with double meat, which puts my meal at around $ 10 for a 2 lb pita wrap. Not bad. They also don’t charge extra for avocado, which is rare. The staff has been good too. Sometimes they seem a little annoyed by the incredibly drunk clientele(understandable), but they’re never rude.

This place is TOO good! Clearly better than Subway with the freshness of the different ingredients you can chose to put on your pita. Perfect pre or post workout meal, and healthy too! Full of flavor. Great pricing too! We got two pitas for $ 18. Also, the customer service was A-Ok. Nothing out of the ordinary. The attendant was somewhat friendly but kinda seemed like he didn’t want to be there. But, who would want to on such a nice Saturday evening anyway?
