This store is a must see when you’re in the Southbay! There is such a unique vibe and they’re clothes are awesome. I definitely recommend checking out their website too, its very well put together and user friendly. I absolutely love this store and the brands they carry i.e. Stüssy, Undefeated, Akomplice and many more. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

I stop into No.4 at least once a month to check out what new stuff these guys are bringing in. It’s really unique to have a store like this in Hermosa. Men’s streetwear; clothing, skate, accessories, and they even sell Krink pens(play around with these if you draw/paint/illustrate). They carry a pretty exclusive brand Maiden Noir. High quality fabric, cut, and design. If you want to wear something no one else is check out this label. The guys who run this place are really friendly, they will order/call you if you are looking for a certain product. If your in the southbay check out No.4.

I always have to visit this store whenever I’m in Hermosa. First of all the store looks really dope and the clothes are always changing. Staff is super friendly and helpful when I was trying on clothes. They even had some stuff in the back that they recommended. Overall happy and always find something I’d like. I would definitely recommend checking this store out at least once if you’re in the Hermosa/Manhattan Beach area.

I love this store because it’s totally different from the«norm» in Hermosa Beach. It’s bringing Fairfax and LA streetwear to the beach cities which is rad. They always have a lot of new clothes from big brands like stussy, undefeated and huf. It’s a great place to buy for all the guys in your life, I’ve bought stuff for my dad, boyfriend, my 18 year old brother and my 10 year old brother. It’s nice to only have to make one stop for all of them for gifts. The staff is really helpful and super cool; plus their always playing cool music, I definitely get a true LA vibe.

DOPE spot! My buddy told me about this store a while ago, finally stopped by and happy that I did. It’s a boutique store so you can find cool gear you can’t find anywhere else. I ended picking up a few shirts and the owner(cool dude) gave me a heads up on their next shipment of stuff I’d like. Good find, I’ll be back!

In my opinion the owner Drew doesnt have great customer service. They have nice things in the shop, good boards etc. but if you are looking for great customer service, I don’t think this is the place.

Disclaimer: I am not a skateboarder by any means but here is my story. About 6 ago I went to an art exhibit at San Fransisco MOMA and they had an a bunch of amazing skate decks. Since then, I always wanted to decorate a wall in my house with several artistic and amazing skate decks and wasn’t able to find anything I liked enough to spend the money on until I stumbled upon No.4. They also have some really nice high end men’s wear and some neat accessories. I love this place!!!

Walking down to the Hermosa pier I stumbled upon this awesome unique skateshop. It is very clean/organzied and has an artsy gallery type feel. I was impressed with all the unique, one-of-a kind skateboard decks they have on display; You can either use them as a skateboard and they will put all the wheels, trucks, etc. on for you or you can just hang the deck in your home as artwork. They also have a bunch of Ladera skateboards already built in the front of the store. The manager, i think his name is Adam, is very friendly and knowledgeable about skateboards. I was also surprised by the large selection of Montana spray paint cans they have in practically every color imaginable. You can’t really find this product in other shops, especially the gold, black, and white lines. The prices are better than online too! I like the clothing lines they carry(Akomplice, Dissizit, Upper Playground) and will definitely come here often to shop for my bf and friends. They have lots of cool t-shirts and hats that I have not seen anywhere else. After talking with the manager and spending over an hour in the store, I felt the need to tell people about this shop. It is really cool that it is owned/run by two young local guys starting their own business and attempting to put unique products out there amidst all the chain surf/skate shops that exist in the Southbay. I recommend you check this place out. It is located on Pier Ave. in Hermosa between the coffee shop Java Man and that little psychic place, which I have no idea how it is still in business, who really goes to psychics?! You also can’t miss the huge black & white graffiti mural on the one wall in the shop ;) You can also check out their webstore @ to get a feel for what the shop is all about.

A while ago, I had received a skateboard deck as a gift from an acquaintance who had heard I loved skateboarding but, hadn’t been in almost a decade. A skateboard deck is the actual skateboard minus the wheels, trucks, grip tape and hardware that turn it into transportation. Every day that I go to the Pier, I look wistfully at the skateboarders being pulled by their dogs. But, it sat in my apartment for a while because I am Queen of Procrastination when it comes to stuff that I want but, don’t really need. That all changed when Coastal Connection opened up down the street from my house, I couldn’t put it off any longer. One Saturday morning, F and I decided to check it out. A laid back, blonde-haired, blue-eyed skater was behind the counter and welcomed us with a quick and warm smile. We looked around the shop which looks like an art gallery, with skateboards on one wall that looked much more like art than something you’d use to cruise the Strand and amazing art by local artists on the opposite wall. They design their own decks in the back of the store and shape their own boards, which is pretty unique for a skate shop. There are two glass display cases which make up the front counter. In the one to the left, you have everything you need to build a skateboard plus stickers and skateboarding DVDs. The one to the right has hand blown glass art that range in sizes, artfully displayed. The shop is small with one rack of T-shirts in the middle. They have plans to take over the shop next door and make that the clothing shop but, they have to deal with the psychic that has leased it but, hasn’t moved in yet. Maybe she saw their wish in her crystal ball and no, I’m not making this up– I love Hermosa! I asked our new skater friend Garrett if they ever had any store events, since it had enough space and seemed to support local artists and if they ever had any DJs ;) He said that they are going to start art shows once a month where they will have drinks, music and art. My brand new skateboard with Independent trucks, new wheels, and a cool Rude Boy grip tape design to match the bottom of my deck totaled $ 90. They also have a stack of complete skateboards(already built) in the front window which range from $ 130-$ 200 and are mostly longboards.
