Small with limited vendors(only about 10 and half of those sell jewelry or knick knacks of different kinds). Just a few actually sell fruits or vegetables. Having said that the location is beautiful as it is right at the pier so that’s a plus!

This one is small but they have lots of different items for sale. They had a few vegetable stands and only two that had fruit. But the prices were reasonable. I love that they are on Wednesdays since I work on the days that the other farmers markets happen. I hope that more stalls show up and that more people show up too.

I didn’t enjoy my visit at all. The pier plaza where the market is set up is dirty, stinky and there are some real sketchy people hanging around. There weren’t enough interesting vendors for me to get what I wanted. There is a parking garage, but be warned you will lose your appetite as the smell of urine in the stairwell is prominent. No thanks!

The new Hermosa Beach Farmers’ Market is up and running and is now two weeks old. The market is located at the Pier, makes great use of the open air plaza and is open every Wednesday from 11AM to 4PM. This is now the SECOND farmers’ market in Hermosa Beach with the original remaining on Fridays near the basketball courts on Valley Drive. This market markets itself as ‘Farmer Mark’. This farmers’ market is slightly larger than the original market. Artisans are on the west end, offering trinkets and art much like the city’s frequent street fairs. Food stands are near the center of the market. The produce stands are on the east end, closest to the pier. Many of the vendors(kettle corn, produce, tempeh) are the same as those in the original farmers’ market. No food trucks though. This location is very family friendly. The other market is near the junction of a rather busy intersection, with two busy parking lots within 0 – 50 feet. I never was quite settled knowing my little one could easily run off into traffic. Now, at the pier, we have much more breathing room. Still need to watch out for bikers on the bike path but a much welcomed improvement for ease of mind. That said, the long trek to easy or free parking is more difficult if you have a big haul.
