Chelsea Pub And Lounge

Fun atmosphere for drinks and music… and drinks. Had a really good time after being referred there by a friend. I will definitely go back.

Love this on Friday and Saturday nights ! Music is always great they don’t just oaky stupid techno edm music they okay hip hop r and b and old school music (real music). I always prefer Chelsea’s over the usual pier bars like sharkiez or American junkie. Crowd is better too

The times me and my friends have gone we haven’t had good service with the bartenders but the vibe of the place is pretty chill. We enjoy the music they play

Loud music, college kids, drinks and dancing… That’s all the night consisted of. We came here to unwind on a friend’s birthday… We were early ’cause hardly anyone was there and then the college kids. Lol Lots of uncoordinated dancing and drinking went down on this night. It was cool. If/​when I come back, I’d probably check out other places in the area. This one was straight. 3 stars.

So gotta say this bar/​lounge is bad business. Went there on a Saturday, was having a great time, the drinks were on point until I go and close my tab. The bartender who was the manager that night and started my tab told me he’d lost my debit card that I used to start my tab. The manger that night told me to call him the following Monday to see if he had found my card and if not he would compensate me for the trouble and it sucks because this had to happen a day before Super Bowl 50. Monday comes around I give the manager a call and says he couldn’t find my card and to come on Wednesday and he’d take care of me. Wednesday comes by, I stop by the bar and has me sit down with his boss and pretty much tells me he can’t rein verse my money I spent that night but, insisted on giving me a gift card to compensate. I was so angry it was literally bullsh**. If this business was ran well I’ve should’ve been rein versed that same night and I would’ve been ok with that but, the manager that night said he couldn’t do that but, yet he can lose my debit card easily. The bottom line was I just wanted my card back and didn’t want to go through the hassle in getting a new one. So this was my first time here and was a poor experience but, lesson learned always pay with cash at bars.

The most uptight, rude, unfortunate bouncers I’ve ever encountered. My friends asked the bartenders about the bouncers and they were afraid to talk to the bouncers. The bartenders were afraid that if they intervened the bouncers wouldn’t defend them in case there’s a violent customer. Super crooked and mean.

I haven’t been here to eat yet but it’s a fun place to dance on the weekends! No cover charge and pretty good Top Hit type music. It’s nothing fancy (don’t expect a night club), just a chill fun place to hang out :)

Great place to dance and have fun on a Friday and Saturday night!!! I highly recommend coming in a little early to get a table and have some dinner and drinks before the dj comes on. My friends and I always have a great time and the bartenders are super great! Fast drinks and very reasonable priced drinks!

Do not even waste you’re time. No waitresses, and when they show up they might not help you… why I have no idea you be the judge. I complained about the waitress skipping our table twice. The manager (he said that he was the owner (dude in the picture)) was very rude. After about 15 seconds of complaining to him he got defensive because I pointed at the waitress who skipped me and the two bartenders who knew that I had a open tab from ordering drinks from them; furthermore, this is not a good establishment as for customer service. The owner??? Said «If you are from L.A. Go back to L.A.» And after I closed my tab he also said «that I had to leave and Under Ground Bub is owned by the same owner.» So don’t go there as well.

Part 2 of GNO. Review is based on drinks and not the food. After dinner, we came here to dance. Bouncers were funny. What? You ladies are over 40? The music was great with music viddys playing along on two screens. Although I feel that perhaps the DJ thought he was catering to us… with um old school music. We were perfectly fine with the hip hop upon arrival and then it intermittently switched back n forth to 80s music. Drinks were good and reasonably priced.
I liked that the crowd was diverse from those barely 21! Old enough to be their mom. LOL.

Front guard didn’t let us in. Most disrespectful and demeaning reason why he didn’t let us in. He was laughing and really thought he was funny.

Really rude. I asked the bouncer a question and he basically told me «fuck off». I’m sorry for asking you if you have seen my credit card or if anyone recovered it. I just left I didn’t even try to talk management. I won’t be returning.

This is a good place with a nice beer selection and tasty food. It can get really busy during events (Kings playoffs, World Cup) and is hard to get service, but that is to be expected. I would like some cask beers to go with the English theme.

Like that this place connects to Underground so you can escape the dancefloor if needed. The bouncer is awesome. Aside from Patrick Molloy’s this is the only place that plays hip hop! Hit or miss sometimes with the crowd. DJ is usually good but sometimes they go on weird like Britney Spears/Don’t Stop Believing/​other-​wtf-​are-​you-​playing-​this-​when-​we-​are-​trying-​to-​dance songs… and that is when we leave lol. Usually hip hop is most of the night and then sometimes they play EDM towards the end. I have yet to try the food but will soon!

I would recommend showing up to this spot when its in lounge mode before it converts into a dance scene. Everyone is a local, friendly and willing to tell stories and chat it up with new faces! The GM Kurk is one of the nicest kickback bartenders I’ve had who is more concerned about chatting it up and trying local tap brews rather than worrying about his tips. Classy dude. Sidenote: the carnitas nachos look amazing.

For the most part this place seemed okay. No cover to get in and everyone seemed like they were having a good time and had a real house party type vibe.
Wasn’t here long but I guess I’d come back and check it out. Drinks are reasonably priced.

Not bad, but not great. Came here with a small group of friends to dance and enjoy a few drinks. There were some good dancing songs mixed in with some not so great ones. It’s a bit difficult to get to the bar and order a drink when it’s packed, but with some patience you’ll be able to get one eventually. The crowd itself included a lot of different types of people… the two grandmas dancing pretty much stole the show. I would recommend coming here to hang out with people you already know if you’re looking for something to do on the weekend.

This is our new spot for Nebraska games on Saturday and they do a great job. Very cool sport that is a staple on HB. I’ve been here on a crawl or two and loved it then as well.
We had breakfast the other day for an early game and it was great. Big nice menu full of the normal stuff, but done very well. My wives Denver omelet looked fantastic.
I had a Nebraska favorite called a Runza and they did a very good job with it. A meat pie thing filled with ground beef and cabbage. Just like when you get it there. Fries were my cheat for the week and worth every bite.
Odd tasting Bloody though, but some people like there Bloodies different than I do so cool…
Service was awesome and quick. Love this new game day spot!!!

I’ve been going to Hermosa Beach bars for awhile now, and have seen many if the bars undergo multiple changes with ownership as the bars keep changing, but Chelsea has been consistently great. This is a decent place to dance: it has an actual dedicated dance floor, so no need for an impromptu dance party.
There is a variety in the crowd, (you can see all types of people: age, race, nerds, preps, etc) which is a breath of fresh air for Hermosa Beach.
The bathoom is small: only two stalls and it’s shared with the Underground Pub. Kind of sucks when you really need to go, but oh well, that’s Hermosa for you.

Eigentlich eine Bar/​ein Pub wo man auch lecker Essen kann, was aber wohl an den Weekends um ca 23Uhr zu einem Club umgewandelt wird, indem die –Tische so zur Seite geschoben werden, dass eine kleine Tanzfläche entsteht.
Witzige Idee und eigentlich coole Location, die ich während einer Club-​Hopping-​Tour für eine Std besuchte.
Cocktails waren lecker, Preise ok, und Dresscode ist (zu den meisnten anderen Clubs in LA) leger :)
Der Club hat aber nicht wirklich lange geöffnet — bis ca 2.30 wenn ich mich richtig erinnere (was wohl aber eher an den Regeln der Stadt liegt)

Came here to watch the 49’ers make it to the Superbowl.
Parking — horrible (the structure across the street was full) I finally found one 40 mins later on the street.
My friend (who was there an hour earlier) ordered a Veggie burger ahead for me so it was ready when I got there. The burger was okay… well it was mediocre. The sweet potato fries were good. I had a corona… can’t complain.
We sat upstairs at the side facing Hermosa Ave. There is another section that goes all the way and around to the back. You won’t see this until you go to the bathroom.
Speaking of… the women’s restroom is probably one of the most nastiest and stinkiest restrooms I’ve ever visited. And I’ve been to the restrooms in China, Indonesia, Peru and Mexico. Dude! Seriously! Clean that shit up and air it out!
Overall a pretty laid back place with an older crowd and I did have fun watching the game.
