Billy this is Sam the owner of amigos. Why you wrote that review about my restaurant I was working all day long I never saw you or hear anything what you said to me you called me Sam look there’s rats why did you do that that’s not very nice of you sir l have cameras we looked and looked and there’s no such Billy that came inside my restaurant and told me what you said on Unilocal please that’s not very nice what you did I hope none of my competitors or you whoever you are are being vindictive this is an livelihood I just open this restaurant it’s one cleanest restaurant please remove those lies about my restaurant it’s my livelihood sir it’s not nice what you did please don’t do this to people karma will get you please ask you a game to remove those comments because they did not happen I was there working very hard we were very very busy because of this and Patrick parade in Hermossa beach please kindly sir please remove them because they are not true

Ordered the weekend only special brisket. 2 tacos. Glad I looked first before I indulged. Parts of meat were nice and other parts I wouldn’t feed my dog. Clean it up amigos and show you care what you’re serving. Not all of us are your weekend drunk crowd

AMAZING and AUTHENTIC tacos! I tried the fish and carne asada and turkey tacos, the ingredients were fresh and delicious. Lot of food for the price! You can choose the ingredients according to your taste. My friend ordered the healthy/​vegetarian, wheat flour burrito, she truly enjoyed it.
The service was fast, the staff were very courteous and friendly. This is a very good new addition to the area, very clean and well-​maintained. Welcome to Hermosa!

I just opened Unilocal to write a review on Amigos Tacos, and saw the review written by Billy L. I was sickened to see his review which could only be written due to a personal vendetta. The food was amazing, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the place immaculate.

One of the best chicken salads I’ve had in a long time. Very fresh, and their signature sauces are incredible. Super filling, too. Definitely coming on my work break more often. Highly recommend.

RATS IN KITCHEN Gross… I could not believe this, Im standing waiting to order food, very small place… behind the cashier are small steps going up to the kitchen.
Then I notice a Rats Head sticking out from behind the grill… I could not believe what i was seeing, told the owner Sam and he denied it very hostelry.
Beware of this place, very dirty for RATS to be in kitchen…
I will be calling the health department to make sure they close this place down.
This is my 1^st time on Unilocal,it was so gross I had to do it.

I used to go to Brother’s until I tried the breakfast burrito here. Best breakfast burrito hands down! Get the Super breakfast burrito, it will have you full for the entire day.

Great food! Wait time wasn’t long for my food and was delighted to see a plate full of beans chips and fish tacos. Definitely filled my desire for fish tacos!

I was so exited about this place. I love tacos. I’ve tried them in every city I’ve been too. As an LA local now, I expected to be at local taco spots every week. When I heard of this place after 1 – 2 friends recommended I couldn’t wait to try. We went in on a Saturday night and instead of being super welcoming, the staff acted like they didn’t see us until we walked up to the counter. And when my boyfriend continued to order 2 veggie tacos (I’m vegetarian) and instead of deliver in a timely order they took over 30 minutes to get us 2 veggie tacos. In fact, the couple behind us and our entire rest of our part was served before is. That is a riculous amount of time for someone to wait for simply a place to sleep. Amigo tacos should be more honest about the wait time for their different kinds of tacos

The brisket tacos were great! And the grilled mahi tacos were amazing! Definitely my new taco spot!

Food was good but really unprofessional staff. They wouldn’t stop hitting on my friend and I especially while we were trying to eat our food. Not really worth coming here ever again…

Best breakfast burrito in all of southbay! The carne asada tacos are my favorite but I lovvvvve the breakfast burrito. They are made to order, so always fresh. And they are always so pleasant! I love this place. And the remodel is amazing!

Amigos is one of my most favorite restaurants– they have several in South Bay. Amigos opened in Hermosa a few years back and then had to close as they needed an alcohol license for the large more formal restaurant and the local anti-​beverage license guy lobbied against them– thus they had to close. So years later they have re-​opened a small taco/​burrito style casual restaurant. I have eaten here twice. And both times, the food was solid but something is missing. I can’t put my finger on it but it is just missing a bit of the lift I am used to. The prices seem to have gone up as well as I had (1) chicken taco and it was $ 2.95 plus tax which is high for 2 corn tortillas and some chicken chunks. I will keep on trying them to see if the grill seasons up and that extra umph and kick comes with time :)

Is someone paying these people to write these reviews. We go in around 7:00pm, let’s see microwave tortillas, stale chips — you know that stale smell, chicken disgusting, beans tasted like straight out of a can no lie, salsa actually had that rancid tomato taste, nothing fresh tasting, just tasted like it was sitting all day. Don’t even waste your time going here, it’s too bad because when they had their old location in Hermosa years back it was great, this one, me thinks never ever again. You know it’s bad when you can’t wait to get home and find something else to eat cause your meal was so bad.

1 visit… 1AM… 2 tacos. Now, are you taking this review with a grain of Hermosa Beach sea salt? Cool.
Ahem. Amigos Tacos are authentic & KINDA BOMB.

Tender corn tortillas, good salsa, nice size. As a tacoisseur, I am easily disappointed, but the meats here impressed me considering the time and location.

Merry Mexicans making pleasant small talk and big tacos from the griddle. Tell them fools to watch the onions though, dude spooned a half-​cup of onions on my carnitas taco. But that night I realized the depth of my cebolla-​phelia (because I ate them all).
* TACOS DON’T SLEEP
Friday & Saturday open till 2:30AM! 10pm, rest of the week. The Bay Area can really learn from these SoCal schedules.
* ACROSS FROM HERMOSA PIER
Such a lucky break for the roaming packs of 20-​something drunks that they can get authentic Mexican food right across the street after the bars close! GOOOOOAAAALLL!!!

Basically, Amigos Tacos is not where to take your wife on your anniversary. HOWEVER, if she’s still hungry for Asada post-​dessert, then it would be your husbandly duty.

The best Amigo’s location I have been to. Clean, convinient and with a slightly modified menu offering some more healthy options. Do it.

Came here instead of our late night pizza place. So glad we did. Friendly staff and good food. The carne asada fries are legit!
