Picture This Custom Framing & Gallery

Great first-​time experience. We had this gallery mat & frame two very old pics of my wife’s great grandmother and grandfather when he was a small child. They do super, careful, thoughtful work that was just what my wife envisioned the results to be finished, however, until you see the completed piece, you cannot be certain another understands your desires. We were pleased with the results and she could not be happier to hang it in a prominent place in our home. This is the place to pick up the Nashville artist, Phil Ponder’s works. In addition, you will find several other fine local artists work in glass, fibers, jewelry, paintings, and so on. Nice store, fairly priced, quality work!

Friendly, helpful, and answered all questions we had, but in the end, we decided not to purchase as the price ended up being WAY more than expected.

Sometimes you find an artist who’s work you simply adore. For me, local artist Phil Ponder is just that. I love the clean lines and, of course, that about ninety percent of what he does is Nashville. I have so many of his prints — a couple of local churches, some spires of buildings, some doors of buildings, the Alamo (I know, not local, but I was born in San Antonio). I also have his book called «Portals» that showcases many of the doors in Nashville and other locales such as Italy. So why do I love this gallery so much? It is because it is Mr. Ponder’s home gallery. As such, I can get my mitts on many pre-​framed prints of his. I have found this to be an excellent gift for people visiting us. Recently, I bought the Nashville Skyline for my mother in law before she returned home to Germany. I wanted her to have something to remember her trip and this was perfect.
I’ve also had framing done here as well. Always excellent, quality work. And they always offer suggestions on mats that I would not have thought of otherwise. It is good to have a professional eye and I generally wind up going with their suggestions versus what I thought would be «perfect».

I have been going here for about 7 years both professionally with large orders and personally with a variety of projects. Matt and Duane are very talented and I always leave the design and framing up to them after giving them my budget. They are very creative and I am never disappointed. They have a range of different artists on display and represent a number of local artists including the great Phil Ponder. There is also a selection of hand blown glass and pottery.
There is a small downtown gallery in the Arcade and they can pick up and drop off.
Picture Framing does not get any better than this and they have rightly won many national awards.
