I’ve had no complaints the couple of times I ate here. Their breakfast, chilli and dinners were all very delicious! The staff is always patient and polite as well. Just make sure you go there after payday!

We’ve had lunch twice. The sides & vegetables are decent. Entrees, not so much. Very friendly & clean. It’s pricier than most meat & three’s and that would be ok if the food was better.

I ordered the fried chicken meal with okra and mashed potatoes. I left 1 ½ pieces of chicken because I was SO full. There was plenty of meat on the chicken and it was crispy, without being dry. The mashed potatoes were a pleasant surprise with an extra kick of flavor! The biscuit was good, too, so I want to try their breakfast. Someone made a review about the chain-like decorations. I work for a custom interior company that designs interiors for public places and so I immediately paid attention to the well-designed way finders and organized layouts. It’s not a dumpy looking country kitchen where you knock things over if you don’t clasp your purse. I kind of like knowing where to go, seeing the menu while I’m waiting in line and not directly in front of the counter, and having an organized flow for drinks and all.

This place is hitting rock bottom pretty hard. And I really hate to say that. To put things simple, do NOT come here for breakfast. A little more in depth? Prices. A meal with pancakes, hashbrowns, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 pieces of sausage, and 2 eggs costs $ 9.75. This place’s breakfast costs way too much, and taste pretty sub par. Pay less and eat better at Cracker Barrel. Hell, it’s really not much better on breakfast than a McDonalds Breakfast Platter. The pancakes were bland, syrup too, scrambled eggs are egg beaters, bacon was okay, sausage was the best, but nothing special. I also added a side. Grits. They costed $ 2.75. It came out, it was the amount that would come out of a single packet of grits. That alone should tell you to leave them alone, but I tried them anyways. Know that I love grits, had them all kinds of ways. I couldn’t eat these. They didn’t even taste like grits. They told me that the chef made them homemade. While this is true, they were honestly quite disgusting. I’ve never not been able to eat grits before. Had to get my money back on them. I can’t even begin to tell you the various things added to them, besides too much onion flavor. Just don’t get them. Lunch here was pretty good last time I had it, but hearing there was a new cooking team, I’ll hold my tongue till I try it again. A plus side is, staff is really nice, and will listen to your complaints. Even told me they would see about changing the grits, saying it didn’t even taste like grits, themselves! Prices on the lunch menu are more reasonable able. If you want to come here, do it after breakfast has ended. Last thing to add, the fountain drinks have been heavily watered down since the first time I have ever come here. Save your $ 2.50. I hope this place gets better, but only time will tell.

WOW… Very expensive for caned and frozen food and don’t be fooled by the décor. A nice looking place doesn’t mean good food. They say it’s country but the décor screams confused want to be franchises. Got the ham and eggs it was just ok. The forgot my biscuits. By the time I got them they were cold. Gravy for the biscuits was $ 1 more and YUK… Powered gravy. STAYAWAYPEOPLE

Third time eating here. Great success all three times. Good price and service with good«meats» and ok sides. I do like there French fry and cheese grits. They bring out your food but the rest is self serve. They have some live music but I have never seen it. Kid and family friendly.

This place has potential but fails on a few levels. First, price. Holy hell that was expensive for chicken and sides and a tea. I came during lunch and hardly anyone was there. I think a few lunch specials would really, really help fill the place. I had hot chicken– wasn’t hot, but had some flavor elements of Nashville hot chicken and great big portion size; 2 wings and a breast. My okra was great, cooked perfectly. My sweet potato pie was bland and dry. I was told the normal cook wasn’t there and it was a fluke and they gave me the best damn bourbon pecan pie and ice cream that made up for it. Lastly, UNsweet cornbread. Srsly? No. Put some sugar in the cornbread and sweet potatoes, add hot sauce to the hot chicken, and get some REAL butter and I’ll give 5 stars all day. Do want to give a huge compliment on whoever wrote the menu, felt like I was in my granny’s kitchen because she has made every single one of those southern dishes for me, made me feel warm and fuzzy lol. Oh yeah– the presentation was gorgeous too. I will be back for sure.

Ordered a cola cake. Food came. No cake. Asked again. Still no cake. Asked again. Finally got the damn cake by the time we ate our food and we’re waiting. The best thing we had was the hush puppies. The corn bread gumbo order came without a bread bowl but they said it’s fine because apparently instead of asking they can just tell we would be OK with extra corn bread. Other food was unfortunately under seasoned. Cola bread was decent!

Great southern food. Counter order and sit down place. I had the country fried steak with grits and fried okra. Pretty good and I’ll probably be back.

Had french toast, potatoes, and eggs. Also tried the hot chicken biscuit, country sausage and cherry pie. The place is mediocre to say the least.

Love the décor. Very clean. Some wrote some bad reviews and mostly seems from service not the food, but i had no problems what so ever. For my first visit had to get the hamburger(it looked so good in one Unilocal pic). It was real good, and the fries are awesome. Going to have to come back and try some of the southern food. I will let you know, but go ahead and try this place, don’t think you’ll be disappointed and prices are good.

Without any doubt this is an awesome well thought out Family Restaurant with outstanding services in a place that is spotless. The«Wide Choices Menu» was easy to understand and the portions were generous. The Meals were delivered right to the table by a very courteous Server. We live in a low trust dining climate this Hadley ’ s Restaurant was Wonderfully Awesome! Highly Recommended! Great Value. CISM Chaplain Oscar Smith, Donelson, TN

Most expensive eggs and bacon I ever ate. Both marginal. AND the cheapest institutional bread toast! And no real butter in the place. All for– what was it? $ 8.50? Have decided to forgo trying it for lunch or dinner based on the crappy bread.

Great place for breakfast. They have awesome homemade home fries and their bacon is incredible! I usually get the granny’s waffle which is so much better than most other breakfast places in town. The format is unique — kind of half cafeteria style, half café style. You order and pay at the counter first, then they bring your food to your table. There’s a condiment bar in the center where you can help yourself to all kinds of sauces, jams and jellies. Great atmosphere, very«down-home,» and super friendly people. And you can’t beat their prices! The location is also very convenient with lots of parking available. We love it!

Went here for the first time today & we will definitely be back. I got a burger & the twisted taters & my boyfriend got the crispy chicken sandwich. My burger was perfect & I am seriously in love with the twisted taters! My boyfriend’s sandwich was huge & he said it was delicious.

FINALLY a good meat and 3!(And so much more!) it’s a different kind of set up. Order at the counter and they give you a number and its brought to you. Food is awesome! The BBQ sandwich was HUUUUGE and the chicken fried steak was delicious. All for $ 16. It was quick too. We got our food within 15 minutes of walking through the door. Also very spacious and accommodating. They serve fountain sodas but have beer too! Happy to have Hadley’s in Hermitage! :)
