This was a BEAUTIFUL hike! The women at the gift shop were wonderful! They were so full ok knowledge and so helpful! Even though it is winter there was a TON of wild life! Lots of squirrels, deer, woodpeckers and even hummingbird in January! This will definitely be somewhere we go frequently!

I love this hike… Not too bad, fairly easy. Cool ruins to explore through. Great photo sesh spot with the old brick buildings and in the canyon. The colors are beautiful in the winter and the mountains are georgeous.

This was a great hike. Mid May, the weather was warm but not terrible since there was a constant breeze. At the end of the trail we went on there was a water trough that the dogs jumped right into.
The hike wasn’t extremely difficult, but there were some parts but moderate for the most part.

Although it was late June, the birding was good. Many birds were lifers for me. The trails were very nice and great views of San Pedro Valley and Huachuca Mountains.

We visited the Preserve in early October, which apparently isn’t the peak season for any of the birds which reportedly habituate this area. However, the staff was very friendly, and the visitors center is great. Hopefully we can check it out a better time of the year.

Sierra Vista, AZ
THey have a simple hike that runs along a creek. There are plenty of birds and deer to see. We were able to do the hike without any trouble with 3 kids and I was 7 months pregnant! Of course we did the shorter hike. It is gorgeous and only a few dollars for a week pass. There’s even a nice picnic spot with shade. If you;re looking for a cheap kid friendly afternoon outing this is it. The trail is a closed loop so it is easy to keep an eye on the kids while letting them have some freedom too.
