So I gave these guys 4 stars, but since they reported my honest opinion about this place and it got removed, I will give them 1 star for violating my rights. As I said before, this place is racist towards Non– Indians and Pakis. Their food is horrible! Their staff is horrible! I would never come back.

PLEASESTAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE. My friends and I went there for the lunch buffet and while their food was okay, their customer service was absolutely disgusting. We placed an order for kabobs as soon as we walked in knowing it would take time for it to come out. After 15 mins of waiting we asked for the kabobs and the waiter said it would be out in 2 mins. After waiting for another 10 minutes, we asked the waiter again who repeated that it would be out in 5 minutes. After waiting for 5 more minutes, we decided to cancel the order because we had already finished eating the buffet food and the kabobs were still not out. The owner came out with such rude attitude and started yelling at us and started saying that kabobs took a long time and how this is our fault and also how we could not cancel our order. He stated that kabobs take 20 minutes to come out. We got there at 2:05 and the kabobs came out around 2:45, that’s not 20 minutes. It was completely shocking to us to see the owner react in such disrespectful way. Instead of yelling at his waiter for giving us wrong information about the wait time, he totally insulted us by asking if we had never been to an indian restaurant. This place has no respect for their customers what so ever. If they don’t know how to treat their customers right, they should just SHUTDOWN their place.

Not a lot new to write that the other reviewer haven’t said… but this place is really good. The food seems fresh and freshly prepared, which, in this day and time of everything frozen or pre-packaged in some way, is great by itself! We’ve been several times and it’s always good.

I agree with a few others, the food is amazing, however the service is beyond poor. What hasn’t gone wrong with Noorani service wise? — I’ve shown up to find my order was given to someone else, when I’ve provided a name and been there within a reasonable time from the pick up time — I’ve come to the restaurant during their hours of operation only to find they are closed and not about to open in the near future — I’ve had numerous mistakes made in which the owners and other workers have failed to reconcile or set right Most importantly, the attitudes are just plain nasty. It’s one thing to make a mistake, but to blame or be unpleasant to the patron? Distasteful and unprofessional. I really love Noorani’s food, however, Lemon Cuisine is just as good(or maybe even better) and the workers are always friendly. Try there instead. You won’t be disappointed.

This review is for catering. We had our son’s aqiqah catered from Noorani. They came from Richmond to Northern VA. I cannot say enough great things about them! First off all, the food arrived on time. It was fresh and delicious. EVERYONE came to me to tell me how good the food was. I saw so many people go back for seconds! They gave more than enough food for the guests. The price was good too… better than most Northern VA caterers. Noorani has better Pakistani food than the restaurants in Northern VA. My favorite item on the menu was the Chicken 65. They are definitely worth hiring to cater your next event.

We order take out from this restaurant atleast once a month from their indo-chinese menu. The dishes from that menu are pretty flavorful and spicy. However, the packaging is ALWAYS a concern. They use foam containers and because the food is really hot it burns the surface of the container and you end up consuming melted foam. Their food items that are either soupy or with gravy always leak through the small foam boxes by the time you reach home. They REALLY need to work on their packaging for their take out customers by replacing all the foams to plastic! Also when you place an order from the indo-chinese menu by phone, it takes them a good 35 – 40 minutes before it is ready. And on busier days expect atleast 50 minutes or longer before you pick up!

Food was good. The service was pathetic. The server asked us for drinks and I said water with ice please. After 15 mins she got water with no ice and I was parched to death. We reached there by 10.30 and ordered main course and appetizer paneer tikka. The first server didnt pen down our order and she got us gobi manchurian. We told her we ordered paneer tikka and she went and placed second order. It took more than 40 mins for the appetizer to come. The girl brought the main course with the appetizer. Thats not the problem… we asked for pickle and green chillies and nan. When we asked for extra NAANANDPICKLE she said the kitchen is closed and we can’t process the order. I wish they had said«we are closing the kitchen if you want we can put in order for Naan bread or anything». You can’t close kitchen before the last customer is still eating food or just inform them … so they can be prepared or just don’t take customer at all 30 mins before the kitchen closes when you know the service in the restaurant is super slow! Spoke to the owner and she also said the same thing. She got us one more nan but it’s not about bread or service it’s about the overall experience. I am sure we won’t be returning but in case you decide to go there… Just be a Lil sure to ask them how long will it take for the food to arrive because otherwise you might wait forever.

We got here right when they were setting the Buffet up. It was AMAZING! Everything was delicious. I had too much to eat and now regret my life choices to go to a Buffet like this for lunch. This place was clean and the family was friendly. Will be back!

This is the go to Indian Pakistani restaurant in the area… Consistently great food here and the owners are always there and they’re super nice. It sucks they’re closed on Mondays.

So far this has the best Indian buffet in Richmond and I’ve tried a good half dozen so far. They have a great selection as well! Their butter chicken is wonderful as are the hakka noodles and most of the other dishes on the buffet. I’ve eaten here a few times now and it’s been consistently good, definitely worth a stop!

My brother took my mom to this restaurant for Mother’s Day. After taking couple bites from their buffet, they realized the food did not taste good(some of the food had a rotten taste to it). After leaving the restaurant, my brother started throwing up, and my mom had diarrhea. I have been running on a Sunday night trying to find a open pharmacy for medication. I called the restaurant to informed the owner. He said, «Sweetie, I get a lot of calls like this. Unless you can get me a lab report from the doctor saying that they got sick from my food, I don’t want to hear anything.» I said, «Excuse me, I am not your sweetie. And you have no professionalism nor acknowledgement of what I’m saying.» He told me to «shut up», cursed at me, and then hung up on me! This is the worst customer service and restaurant in my opinion. The fact that he gets a lot of calls complaining their food made them sick– is ALARMING. I am disgusted by their customer service and ownership!

Found this restaurant on Unilocal and checked it out. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Boston area. This is the best one compare to anyone in Boston. There is a large selection of entrées. Some of them was surprise to see in buffet, cause it takes a looong time to cook. Service is good too. If you like Indian food, this is THE place to go. We went for Saturday buffet, only $ 10.99. Great value. The only thing is that unlike other Indian restaurant, there is not a selection of Chukny. I wish the owner can add that to the buffet. I will definitely come back.

I been to Noorani couple of times as a group. Food is average. I never had any issue with the service or food received, except average in taste. Ambiance was good for a group. It’s spacious. My wife hate their food. I felt it’s just average.

We ordered chiken curry and naans for a birthday party. The chiken was good but the naans were horrible. They were just thick and not sure whether those been cooked properly. Just got worst experience and when I called Noorani to complain regarding this… they just ignored my call and did not bother to reply back. Worst place to order for a to go food.

The food is good, but the experience is not much to rave about. Located in an old strip mall, no special design aesthetic… just okay. I tried the chicken tikki masala, medium spiciness. It was good. Portion was just right… you won’t take any home with you. Naan that came with it was a little too much like a cracker. I like it a tad softer. Maybe I should come back for lunch when they have the buffet and I can try more dishes? Service was fine. Decent prices.

One word. Yum! After trying to find flavorful Indian food since moving to Richmond I found this place on Unilocal. So far we have had bland, not worth the price, horrible customer service, and were feeling a bif defeated. Seeing so many 5 — star reviews cemented that my husband and I needed to try this place. We ordered the Chicken Jalfrezi and the Cauliflower Manchurian with naan to complete our order to go. Once we arrived to pick up the food we saw the place was closed for a private event but was still accepting take out orders. When we got home we were surprised that we got rice even though we did not order it. What a welcome surprise. The Chicken Jalfrezi was perfectly spiced and bursting with flavor. The Cauliflower Manchurian was tasty as well. Basically if you are a fan of sweet tasting dishes order the Cauliflower Manchurian. I am so happy that we were able to find a tasty Indian restaurant and look forward to going back for more dishes.

This is a big step for me. I don’t give 5’s out that much, and I’ve never given a buffet a 5. After having their lunch buffet there today though, I can’t think of a reason not to. Put your past buffet prejudices aside, this is no normal buffet. Let me first clarify that Noorani Kabab House isn’t just a buffet. If you go during their non lunch hours(which by the way is 11AM to 3PM, something I couldn’t find on their website), you can experience a normal dining experience from a menu and a full wait service. My review is just for their buffet. –Food: Part of the appeal and magic of a buffet is the ability to try a wide spread of items. Noorani offers about 10 main items plus a couple soups and a salad bar. I leave it intentionally nondescript because their buffet items change daily. From the sounds of it and the spread today though, you’re bound to find at least a few tasty chicken dishes. You also get a large basket of delicious naan with every buffet. One of the most appealing things to me here is that the items aren’t just mass produced chicken items thrown onto a buffet line. Every one of their items here are directly taken from their dinner entrees. Every item I tried was bursting with flavor and I could taste all sorts of Indian spices and not just a mouth full of sodium. Truthfully, everything I tried was great(with the exception of one dish, but I think it was my personal taste and not the dish itself.) I will say that I don’t have a huge history of Indian food, but I had it occasionally in college when it was catered and one of my suitemates ordered Indian quite a lot. I don’t know all the names of the things I had, but some of my favorites were as follows: — Chicken 65: I’ve never had this before, but this was probably my favorite. It was spicy, juicy, and delicious. It packs a touch of heat, but won’t burn your mouth off. — Butter Chicken: I wasn’t expecting to like this, but it was creamy and delicious. — Naan: Absolutely delicious. I dipped it in all of the sauces I had on my plate and bowl. — Hot and Sour Soup: They also have a couple Chinese things, oddly enough. Their take on Hot and Sour soup is great! — Black Pepper Chicken: Also Chinese I believe, this dish was peppery and seasoned deliciously. They also had Chicken Biryani and Karahi which were pretty good! I basically went down the line and tried a little bit of everything that included chicken or an orange sauce. –Cost: Buffet with Naan was $ 10. Can’t argue with that. Especially since you can eat as much as you like and can get a feel for what you do and don’t like in terms of Indian food if you don’t have too much experience with it(like me). –Atmosphere: The exterior is completely underwhelming yet the interior is spacious and inviting. It doesn’t seem tacky either like some buffets. I enjoy the design of their food containers on the buffet. –Service: Amazing. Even with a buffet my waitress was super nice and answered questions I had. I noticed that a lot of the reviews mention slow service during dinner hours, but since a buffet doesn’t rely on this, I experienced none of this. –Overall: I went in to the buffet expecting to get a decent meal, but I couldn’t have been more pleased. I feel that I was able to learn quite a bit about various Indian dishes as well as get a filling and delicious lunch at the same time. I would imagine that most of the dinner entrees are delicious as well if they’re anything like their lunch counterparts. The lunch buffet is amazing though, and I would definitely go again.
