Food Lion

I went to this Food Lion on a Friday night, and not surprisingly it was pretty empty. Found what I needed quickly and enjoyed browsing the discounted DVDs. Seemed like a clean and quality Food Lion, and I’d know because I worked at one in college. I agree with the other Unilocaler that the parking lot feels sketchy and makes you not want to be in or around this store.

Food Lion has come a long ways in making their stores more presentable to the Public. Years ago, I did not like Food Lion, as I felt like I was shopping in a 3^rd world Grocery store. This particular Food Lion is nice and clean with plenty of room down the isles. It is well lit, however it does not have the dramatic lighting as some of the other Food Lions have. The showcase of Fruits and Vegetables look fresh as well.
Each time I go in, it is not a very busy store, however when they have a long line, they will open additional registers so they can check you out quicker. A BIG plus, for me. The Shopping Center in which this Food Lion is in, however is a different story. It needs to be updated or something as it makes you not want to come to this store.
Over all, the people are friendly, and I wish when you would ask a question on where is something… they would take the 5 min. to show you as appose to pointing their finger. Overall, it is not a bad Food Lion… :-)
