The pizza was ok. The crust left a yeasty taste and was hard. I thought a Chicago pizza was supposed to be a little fluffier. We had the all meat so maybe that was why it was a belly bomber. We will try something else before lowering the rating. Good luck on our second try because there is a lot of pizza in Hendersonville. Great second visit the hand toss bbq chic was very good and big. The value was great and the kids raved about it

Love the pizza here. My son and I had the Chicago Bomber, my favorite. Dined in for the first time and it was great. Comfy and open space and love the staff!!!

Been twice now and will not go back again. The wait is long the pizza is terrible. The pizzas are soggy, bare of topping, boring. I had only one bite and so did my daughter, put it straight in the trash where it belongs. The topping looked and smelt bad.

Great Chicago style pizza! We had«The Works» Chicago style pizza and really enjoyed it. This will be our new in town pizza place.

I am happy about this place. It’s hard to find food that isn’t associated with chains here. I love the upside down deep dish. The tomato sauce is very fresh tasting. The bread is good. And I get the meat they season in house, which is the Italian beef and sausage. So good! It does take a while, so just plan accordingly.

Delicious Chicago deep dish pizza. Not much more expensive than your fast food pizza place but if far superior quality. Friendly service and the pizzas are always fresh made. Maybe only steer clear if you’re in a big hurry.

My family really likes the upside down, Chicago style, Chicago Bomber pizza. It’s delicious and unlike any other pizza we’ve found in the area. It’s pricey, but it is a lot of pizza. We’ve always ordered take out and it’s been ready when promised.

Ordered a deep dish pizza $ 24 — each piece had plenty of bread — one slice of pepperoni, one small mushroom slice, 2 bits of olive — horrible!!!

Oh lala! Fancy, fancy pizza even down to the rude workers. Eighteen dollars for a «special» pizza that was amazing, all five bits! Flavors all there and the thin crust is light! Ingredients on trend and menu food forward. I have had two encounters with the windy and the first was so horrible(service/order) the entire meal was free. Second seamless, but a wait to order. I will try again, the zealous ingredients is worth the wait and attitude, there is a serious lack of friendliness. Great location and spicy, in more than one way!

The pizza is okay but way overpriced. For the price they charge your order should at least be correct. Ours was not. Very disappointed. I know it’s supposed to be deep dish, but that doesn’t mean all bread and very little toppings and cheese. With all of the other pizza places around that are way more reasonably priced it’s just not worth it.

WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER! On multiple occasions I’ve called trying to place an order and immediately been placed on hold and had to hang up 10 minutes later. In fact once, in an effort to call ahead an order as I left Nashville, I called and and I was placed on hold and literally got to the restaurant 20 minutes later still on hold, walked up to the counter where there was some girl just standing there. I tell her, «I’ve been on hold for over 20 minutes to place an order!» She tells me that if there are customers at the front counter then they don’t answer the phone. This place may have decent food but if no one can order it who will ever know or care!

So far its about the best tasting pizza outside of Chicago that I’ve found here in the Nashville area so far. The place its self doesn’t have that welcoming family-like environment, but the service and people were very friendly and I think its worth ridind out to Hendersonville to check’em out!

This is good to great pizza but the only complaint would be I wish they would add a variety of salad and breadsticks and sometimes the price is high for the amount you receive. I order about once a month though and the double stuffed meatball is our favorite, along with the trio sampler and thin crust veggie.

3 visits in now along with my son. The pizza is great every time. Is it authentic Chicago style? Don’t know, really don’t care, it’s just good… I know ahead of time that I’m in Hendersonville so my expectations for real Chicago pizza aren’t unrealistically high. I order by the slice from whats already available so there’s very little to no wait. 1 slice of deep dish meatball, 1 regular pepperoni, and 1 regular cheese is our usual. On one occasion they made up a chicken florentine pizza for us to sample, very good stuff and very friendly staff. We’ll be back!

At lunch got two slices, which were under a heat lamp on the counter, like Hunts Brothers pizza at gas stations. And it pretty much was like a gas station pizza. Crust was dense, toppings were OK, not very hot. Maybe their fresh pizza is better, but I probably won’t be back.

Gotta love bad customer service and bad first impressions. First my daughter and I sit in a booth waiting for service and as time passes and the woman behind the counter watches us sit there waiting, I finally get up and say«Is there a waiter or do we order here? You order here». That bit of information would have been nice 10 minutes ago. It gets better. Then I proceed to ask, «Can I order a large pizza, half speciality and half cheese. Yes you can. Great. But I have to charge you for a speciality pizza. Really, why? That’s just how we do it here. Ok then. We will go to Brixx Pizza where they don’t do it that way.»

$ 4.98 for a tiny slice of the already made deep dish pizza — served straight from the counter oven. Poor Value. Pizza was not hot, but I can see how it would be good if it were actually heated up. Counter person is the poster child for really not caring about her job or the customer. I really want to like this place, but third time there and they’ve struck out.

Visited Windy City Pizza for the first time last night. I don’t recall the last time I had a Chicago style pizza. We ordered our pizza, sat down, and waited. If you want Chicago style pizza and eat inside, you will have to be ready to wait due to the thickness of the pizza. We knew that before hand because my daughters have eaten there previously. The décor is, ummm, strip mall-esque. They have all the typical Cubs, Bears, and windy city stuff on the walls. The décor is bland — and understandable. I figure they are small business owners and had to make decisions about where they would spend their money. In my mind, I envision them figuring they didn’t need to spend too much money on décor. The inside is clean and neat — so in my opinion, they definitely care about having a well run establishment. Although bland, I like the atmosphere because the other customers added an energy. It was very family oriented, plenty of people sitting, talking, laughing. They have a couple of tables and chairs outside. People were eating their meals outside and enjoying the evening. They had a constantly busy carry-out line going. I was impressed by that. Now, the pizza. You ever hear this exchange, Pizza Maker, «For your pizza, do you want me to cut 12 pieces or 8?» Customer, «You better only cut 8 pieces, I can’t eat 12.» Pizza maker to himself, «?» I am the guy that likes 12 pizzas. For whatever reason, I enjoy eating multiple slices provided the slices are miniature. A Chicago style pizza is the antithesis of my pattern. I will stick to the flavor and quality. First the flavor. It was high above average — bordering on excellent. I will have to eat there again to see how I would rate them. It was definitely flavorful. We ordered«The Meats» pizza. It had plenty of meat. It had plenty of cheese too. Definitely cheesey. In fact, it was cheesier than the dumb movies I watched in high school(Tog Gun, 16 Candles). I don’t think you will be disappointed on flavor. For quality — have you ever had a Chicago style pizza that wasn’t baked long enough or was very soupy? This pizza was not. I really appreciated that. The crust is really good. Sometimes I think the deep dish pizza crusts can get really, really greasy. I didn’t think this one was. I would probably get a side of mariana next time though. That was a lot of bread — it was good, but was still a lot. We ordered the 14″ and took most of it home. I had one slice and a portion of my daughter’s. I usually try to comment on if you are trying to eat healthy, whether or not the restaurant is a good choice. I have no idea. They have a menu on-line. When we went, I let my daughters order and didn’t even look at the menu. If you are trying to eat healthy, you obviously want to stay away from Chicago style pizza. I am sure one slice has 1,200 calories since it is all meat, cheese, or bread. Will I eat there again? Probably. My daughters like it. I try to eat healthy so I will likely get a traditional pizza. I had Chicago style because my daughters were sweating me to try it. Would I go out of my way to eat there? Probably not. If I lived closer, I would likely do the carry out.
