This is my go to hardware and lumber place. The folks know their stuff, are courteous, and competent. If I need good advice, I get it every time. How can you NOT LIKE Home Depot!

We live in an area of Western North Carolina that is hilly and mountainous. Home Depot has a woefully inadequate ordering and supply problem with supplying it’s customers with «Ice Melt» and/​or road salt in the events of ice or snow cover. They were out of Ice Melt products before a severe ice storm hit us a week ago and they have never replenished their stock and we are gearing up for another severe snow storm and their associate in the store tells us that they will not be ordering anymore or getting anymore in for the rest of this winter season. That is ridiculous. With the changing climate and more and more severe weather conditions in the mountains and surrounding areas ‘ice melting products’ should be a commodity that they should ‘rarely,’ if ever, run out of. I hope that they examine this problem and change course.
We found some at a local mom and pop store. We will be sticking with them in the future for our hardware needs.
