This place is legit. The owner is super friendly and seems very passionate about his concept. The food is amazing and pretty cheap for the amount you recieve.

Wow — this place was a real, nice surprise. No doubt the best burger in Hendersonville. If I could go 4.5 stars, I totally would — this place is much better than most «4 star average» burger joints in Nashville.
First the good — The burgers are super. They are juicy and huge — and the standard burger is stuffed with cheese and weigh in at ½ pound. But that’s not what makes the burgers so great. It’s the cook on the burger — top quality. The toppings are heaped on without abandon (my burger was covered with big chunks of blue cheese… mmmmmmm) and served quite quickly, by friendly folks.
The fries are crinkle cut Orieda fries… which in my book is as good as you can get. I may be in a minority, but I LOVE crinkle cut fries and you get a solid helping (or two) when you get fries with your burger.
The value is tremendous — you can easily spend just as much on a lower quality burger and fries. This place is really fantastic — great burgers, crinkle cut fries and at a super great value.
So — why not 5 full stars? To be honest, it’s such a great burger that it is difficult to not give it 5 stars — save for the bun. The bun is mostly standard fair. They are «bready» and don’t add much to the flavor. They are NOT bad by any stretch, but just don’t do the burger any favors and keep me from giving Jumbo & Delicious a full 5 stars. But that’s just my opinion, man.
So — will I go back? You best believe it. I’ll take family there when they come from out of town and let them decide on their own about the bun. And my eight year old son will continue to remind me that these are the best… so we will certainly be back again and again.

Awesome burger, cooked to order. I had the lamb burger. The small fry is plenty to share for two people to share. Well worth going there.

I don’t know, I wasn’t the biggest fan even though everyone else in my party flipped for it. First off, I couldn’t understand a damn word the counter guy said the accent was too thick and he spoke too fast, and I’m usually excellent at deciphering that. My burger had a lot of inedible fatty bits and the onion rings were just ok. I don’t get the hype.

Other gourmet burger places serve you a patty processed by some bulk food service company and make it their own through a selection of bun, cheese, and condiments. J&D gives you an awesome burger. The rest is a bonus. My new fave is the ½ lb lamb. My son loves the stuffed BBQ bacon.
I’ll try to include a pic of what they gave him on his birthday. If you see a pic of a triple decker, that’s it. 3 lbs.

Exelent value. An out fot this world burger. Th smaller double stuffed buger was huge and only $ 6, the larger buger must feed a family of four. XD

My daughter and I found this place on Unilocal and thought we would give it a try and I’m sure glad we did. She had the BBQ bacon burger and she loved it. I had the Italian sausage sandwich w/​fries and it was great.
The owners were very friendly and came and checked to see if everything was ok. Will definitely be going back again.

We came to Jumbo & Delicious after seeing what positive reviews it had — I’ll admit I was a little wary at first because it doesn’t look like much from the outside. When we walked inside, there were a good amount of customers enjoying their meals and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the half chicken filet sandwich and asked for their hot BBQ sauce on the side. I also got sweet potato fries. My boyfriend ordered the famous lamb burger with onion rings.
Our food arrived quickly, maybe 10 – 15 minutes, and it was great! Despite being the half size, my sandwich was huge and there was so much chicken — I could barely pick it up! I had to eat some of the chicken on its own first before I could pick it up and properly eat the sandwich. The BBQ sauce was a nice extra, I dipped both my sandwich and fries in it. My boyfriend’s lamb burger was outstanding! And I’m not usually a fan of lamb. The onion rings were big and crispy.
Overall the food was tasty, affordable, and you got A LOT of it. The place was clean and the staff was sweet and attentive — definitely worth a stop if you’re in Hendersonville.

I got the ¾ pound (provolone) stuffed lamb burger. It was GIGANTIC and cheesy. The flavor was perfect, and it was cooked just like I like it. The fries were good, too — but I didn’t really need any because the burger was so filling and good.
The service was great too. They were great about explaining what everything offered was and what could be customized (which is just about everything). There was a kid of about 12 working the front register, and I swear he’s gonna be on Food Network soon as a culinary professional. I generally don’t like kids., but he was the most polite and knowledgeable service I’ve had in any restaurant in years. He talked and acted like he was 30. I was amazed!
Parking was simple and easy, and this is now my new favorite place for a burger.

I had to check out my namesake, no? I love how completely out of control the menu is. From the juicy lucy-​style burgers to the sandwiches that have every animal known to man as the make up, when you make the choice to come to J&D, you’re not doing anything nice and easy.*
When you set the GPS and set off on your J&D adventure, don’t be fooled and head into the first hamburger shop in the strip mall. That biz owner is counting on you making that mistake. Yes, there are two burger joints in the same strip mall and they serve suspiciously similar food. J&D was first. Give them your business.
Walk in. Check out a menu. Order at the counter. Sit down and wait for fattie fat fat nirvana. Don’t be unnerved by the child taking your order. That’s the owner’s kid. He knows what’s up and you need to as well. Study the menu beforehand because you do not want to slow down the line. The regulars are not in the mood for you to screw things up. I’d suggest coming with a friend. That way, you can try two different burgers. Come ready to do some serious damage. These burgers are not for the faint of heart. Or, for those who are concerned with their heart health. Once every six months, people. Don’t eat this stuff more often than that. But, if you’re ready to be naughty do as I did.
1.) Start with the original. If you’re familiar with juicy lucy’s, there ya go. They’re delicious. You’ll love ‘em.
2.) You’ve had the delicious. Get ready for the jumbo. I ordered the combo #1: steak, chicken, shrimp, lamb, tomato, peppers, mushroom, onions, and cheese. Because, why the eff not? I’m only giving into the slightest nibble of hyperbole when I say this sandwich almost took me out. It’s just too dang much. I mean that in the best possible way. I wanted jumbo and I got it. It almost got me.
Twice a year. Tops.

1^st trip: Good stuffed burger except it kept falling apart… buns and toppings. They use diced onions and shredded lettuce and they do not stay inside the sandwich. Ordered the grilled cheese sandwich for the kids. It was a triple decker cheese sandwich. Owner also gave us a complimentary platter of chicken tenders and fries for the kids. the wife enjoyed her teriyaki burger.
2^nd/​3^rd: Hmmm… the bottom bun of the stuffed burgers are soggy. Not sure because of the condiments (lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mayo) or burger juice. Crinkle cut fries are just ok. They were a little over-​fried and not evenly seasoned. So, it’s either too salty or bland. Onion rings were greasy but decent.
Will try the fried sweet potatoes and other sandwiches soon.

This place is in a weird area next to a church, but make sure to stop in.
They specialize in cheese-​stuffed burgers and the flavor was great. I got the ½ lb beef burger stuffed with cheese and it was very tender and flavorful.
My boyfriend got the ¾ lb lamb stuffed burger and we both were pleasantly surprised by the flavor. I expected it to taste like the beef burger, but it had a great and unique flavor with a hint of Mediterranean spice
The highlight of the meal was the young man helping serve us. Kids usually get in my nerves but this guy was like a tiny adult. He was very mature for his age and courteous. He is quite knowledgable about other local restaurants and can hold a good conversation. You don’t see that in kids nowadays!

Okay, so we went here because we heard they had great burgers from a friend and then confirmed via Unilocal.
Turns out that of the 4 meals we ordered, not one landed in the upper rankings in regard to food experiences. The burgers had a strange seasoning and were far from «the best burger ever.» The chicken filet sandwich was an assortment of ground chicken, onions, and peppers that lacked any semblance of seasoning. The Reuben was the most edible of the bunch and even it was portioned for a supersize human.
The only reason it gets two starts is they are friendly and genuinely care about the customers, it just doesn’t show in their cuisine. It lacks direction and theme and seems to be mostly frozen ingredients. Disappointed with the meal to say the least.

Another super meal at J&D plus the new décor which is very very nice.
As always our stuffed burger (enough for the two of us) was perfect and delivered to our table with a smile.

The BEST stuffed hamburgers in Middle Tennessee. They stuff the hamburger with your choice of 7 cheeses on a freah HUGE bun. Then they put another piece of cheese on top…(nom nom nom nom). Order the onion rings as they are fresh and lightly battered.
The owner comes out and greets each customer at the table to thank them for coming to the restaurant.

Five Stars for Jumbo and Delicious stuffed burgers! Period. End of Story. They are nothing less than awesome!
I considered getting the large stuffed burger, but I’m glad I didn’t. Their regular jumbo burgers are huge. Maybe I’ll ask for bacon next time. My wife really liked her mushroom & Swiss stuffed burger but couldn’t finish it. And my daughter’s friend had a lot of fun with her teriyaki pineapple jumbo. We were all in agreement that their bottom buns are not capable of standing up to everything they put on the burgers.
However, my daughter was really disappointed in her falafel on pita bread. It was very dried out, and for some reason, it came with ranch dressing instead of cucumber dressing. And although their onion rings and crinkle-​cut fries were OK, they didn’t quite taste as good as they looked.
I was really impressed with the young man behind the counter. He was very friendly and helpful. This definitely isn’t fast food, because some of these creations take time to build. But it is worth the wait.
