I recently vacated a condo I had leased for 15 months. Liked my leasing agent a lot but this company is very slow to respond to requests or needs. It’s very much about them and the owners and tenants are 2nd, 3rd or lower. As a broker myself, not sure why they would hold a property over well in to the first week of the month to be available when it is in fact available weeks ahead of time — not a good situation for the property owner in regard to maximizing their rental income. Process deposit refunds 30 days after the end of the lease, even if unit is vacated(and paid in full) prior to end of the lease and inspected and deemed ready for occupancy by the next tenant. Much better property management companies in the area who realize the property owners and tenants are their customers.

They keep money from our deposit for ridiculous and unfair charges as well as they failed to give us a check list of things to do as we move out. Then sent us some 3 weeks later. They didn’t even clean or paint the property before we moved in then charged us for cleaning after we moved out when we left the property in better shape then we found it. I would never advise anyone to rent from this company.

Do yourself a huge favor and stay away from this company. You can’t deal directly with the owners and the company will use that as an excuse, saying everything is out of their hands, leaving you no other choice but to wait on Carolina Cottages to do nothing!

I had a wonderful experience. They were very accommodating. Gary and Greg were very helpful and walked me through the whole process. I was a first time renter and I am so thankful that I had them to rely on.
