The Auto Shop

I took my car into The Auto Shop today to have some work done on the air conditioning system. They were recommended by Tom at Catskill Automotive.
They were very knowledgeable and friendly. My car was taken in right away and the work done reasonably quick. There was no pressure to have any other work done and the explanation of what was being done was explained in understandable terms. While I was there I witnessed very courteous service being given to another customer. The shop looked organized and clean, as did all the mechanics. And most importantly, the price was good.
I did not give 5 stars just yet because this was my first visit. I plan on bringing in my wife’s car to get some work done and I will see if the service I receive then is consistent with my experience today. After a few more visits and more good work I may finally feel like I have a reliable mechanic for my automotive repair needs, and then the 5 stars will be awarded.

Brought in my son’s Honda for an engine light warning. They did a diagnostics and worked on the problem. Replaced faulty sensor; problem solved.
Terry and Bill know their business, and as important they take the time to communicate with you. You don’t have to worry about being taken for a ride — no pun intended :-)

Long story short, I completely destroyed my car’s engine and needed some heavy engine work done on my car. The engine needed to be completely replaced. Such an expensive repair would normally preclude that it even be attempted, but I wasn’t in a position to just let my car go, so I brought it to this shop. They were recommended to me by Catskill Auto who, although renowned for their professionalism and workmanship, do not do heavy engine work of this type.
The fellas at The Auto Shop quickly located a salvage engine for my car and quoted me a reasonable price for the job. In only a little over the time they estimated it would take to accomplish the job they delivered my car to me in good running condition.
They are a couple of friendly and professional guys.
