Worst restaurant ever in Las Vegas. Dirty plate, forks knifes and spoon. Meals are not tasty and looks disgusting. Stay away from there!!!

Visited Vegas for the memorial weekend and visited this place. The food was wonderful. Didn’t taste the closet indian tasting biryani in any other places I tried.(tried not too many) lol. I ate here 2 days in a row. I would visit it again. 1 less star because they could improve on cleaning of water glasses a little . Thank you. Good luck!

Immeasurably surprised to find quality of food the likes of which I’ve only elsewhere experienced in New York City. Highly recommend you ask for the Paper-thin Masala Dosa. Even if you don’t know what it is. It’s not on the menu. It was actually the best one I’ve ever had. It won’t disappoint. I hope they get a better music system soon. If they do, they’ll see a lot more of me. And most don’t get to see me at all. Oh and better lighting would be great too. I love to be a bit mood lit when I accompany my dosa.

GREAT food. TERRIBLE service. The only reason for a 2 star vs. 1 star rating is the quality of the food. My experience was a series of questions as follows. Seated. Only question the server asked«You ready to order?» After not being asked if we’d like something to drink. «Can I please have a soda and place my offer?» «Can I please have a refill?» «Can we have a few boxes?» «Can we have a bag for the boxes?» «Can we have the bill?» We literally had to ask for anything and everything we wanted while there were only 6 tables seated, so not busy at all. I watched the servers joking around and staring at all of us while they should have been working. Oh and did I add that this was on a Saturday night? The busiest night, so if service was like this then imagine any other night?! The only reason I’d go back is for the garlic naan and Paneer Tikka Masala. If you’ve got time to kill waiting for everything, check them out.

For some reason, Las Vegas has always felt a little thin on quality Indian restaurants. I tend to be a harsh grader so I think Taj is a 3 – 3.5* on the food, but I’m rounding up because there just aren’t that many options and IMO the Henderson area is lucky to have Taj Palace. To me, the standout dishes are the jalfrezi and the haryali, the latter of which I usually get with tilapia. The biryani is also cooked well here. All their lentil dishes I’ve tried are good(soup, daal makhani, and yellow daal), and I usually have the aloo gobhi and bhindi masala in my rotation of dishes. When I’m feeling like something more on the creamy side, the korma is pretty delectable too. The lunch buffet is also an excellent value; just be aware that some of the offerings are not as high quality as they are at dinner(especially the tandoori chicken, which isn’t nearly as well cooked at the buffet lunch). Given the low cost though, I don’t hold this against them. It works the other way too — if you’ve only done the lunch buffet, know that some items are much higher quality when ordered at dinner.

Last night was SO much better, the lamb this time was tender and melted in your mouth, we had them add some extra spice, sat in and dined this time, very welcoming and great experience.

Yes, I’ll give it a 4 star(above average to me) for being a nice Indian restaurant in the States. To me Indian food in the states is pretty tricky, if you had Indian food in cities outside of India, like London, you understand what I mean. Finding a fabulous Indian restaurant in the US is like finding a fabulous Mexican place in Europe, very hard to come by. I have tried Indian food on both coasts and in the mid-west(which I highly recommend not to do) and Taj Palace is pretty darn good. I have dined here a few times, so I guess it’s time to do my Unilocal elite duty and review it :). On my most recent visit, I tried the lunch buffet as I have come in for dinner before. The price was excellent for the amount of choices. I’m not huge on buffets(I know… I live in Vegas) and only go if I have too. Reason being is, I would rather have a dish cooked great than a bunch of food cooked mediocre served under heat lamps! Who here agrees? So with that said, the buffet is really quite nice! There were plenty of tasty options and it did not taste dried out, well of course not because the food is in curry form– Duh, Trix! There are plenty of spicy sauces and mixes so you can add to flavor it up to your taste. This was awesome for me because well, you know, I like it Spicy Baby! ;) The naan bread is fantastic. I ordered the garlic naan instead of the regular. It was not dry but it was so flavorful! I loved how they bring it to you upon order because there is nothing worse than under-a-heat-lamp-dry-as-dirt naan bread! So yay! A great Indian place on my side of town. I definitely will come back ad definitely recommend!

Terrible buffet. Went with 3 of my friends and everything was salty, stale and no desi pop to anything. If you are desi and accustomed to good tasting foods avoid the buffet!!!

This is the place to visit if you are looking for yummy indian food. I have never tried any a-la-carte items, but their buffet is more than enough AND a great value for just $ 10. With an assortment of vegetarian and chicken dishes seasoned to perfection with delicious spices, you are sure to find your favorite! I love their tikka masala and tandoori chicken, which is always fresh and juicy. The naan is complimentary and, although it takes a little bit to arrive at your table(it is freshly made every time), it is DEFINITELY worth the wait. This place is so good that even their jasmine rice is on point, every single time. I do not know about you, but I love a rich mango lassi with my indian meals… and that’s where I think they would do a bit of a better job. Do not get me wrong, their lassi is good but a bit too sweet compared to other ones I have had. And, for $ 5 a piece they are a bit pricey. Conclusion? Come to this place, especially for lunch, and enjoy a great meal!

The lunch buffet is great! Consistently great food. The buffet is helpful since I’m a vegetarian and my husband is not. We can both get very tasty food which we both enjoy. The naan bread is fabulous.

So I dipped into this place the other day and took a look at the buffet. Everything looked great. But I did not stay to eat. Came back a couple of days later and grabbed my food to go. And it was so so so good! I had the China masala, eggplant and basmati rice. Of course mild mild no spicy mild! Well it had a little kick from what seems to have been the ginger so I was cool with that! Get it, hot ginger cool attitude LOL??? Anyway… it all traveled well. And both were delish! The portions were just as full as if I had eaten there. I had leftovers for brunch! Everything was super fresh including the actual fresh herbs and spices that you could actually see and tsste in the food! The service was friendly and very helpful to allergy suffers and Vegas alike. Lots of poultry choices and seafood for you none veggie types. Great choice when in vegas or if you live in Henderson.

Went for their buffet lunch special with my family and everyone left full and happy. They have a good selection at their buffet at a good price! Not to mention the unlimited warm garlic or plain naan brought to your table. My favorites were the curry, tikka masala, and samosas. My family said that the tandoori chicken was also 2 thumbs up but I did not get a chance to try it. Next time I’m in town and craving Indian I will definitely be back!

Was so happy to accidentally come upon this place. I’m new to vegas and haven’t been able to find a good indian restaurant since moving here, but now I have Taj Palace! It’s got great food, great service, all for a great price!(About $ 11/person for lunch buffet) and a free mango lassi for checking in! Even though they’re pretty out of the way from where I live or work, I will definitely have to make a trip back on the weekends!

The last time I ordered take out from this place I got extremely burnt naan bread. Willing and excited to give them another try, I put special instructions on my next take out order for non burnt naan bread… Still got some. Really wanted to like this place because the rest of my order wasn’t bad But this killed it for me. Not ordering from them again.

This is my favorite place to go to for Indian Food. From service to the quality of food, it’s amazing. Buffet is from 11−3PM. The interior makes you feel like you’ve walked into some fancy fine dining restaurant. I am always seated immediately and water is served immediately. Then they ask if you want garlic or regular naan. Freak yeah gimme that garlic naan. Dip that shii in everything. My favorite items from the buffet is the tandoori chicken, chicken tikka masala(OFCOURSE) and the samosa. There were other curries that were delicious too but I can’t think of the name. The samosas are crisp and flaking with potato filling. Those usually go fast. Their chicken tikka masala is the best I’ve had in Vegas. Like I said, DIPTHATNAANINEVERYTHING and this is one of those things that you just can’t eat unless you got naan. I don’t think they could give me enough naan. Anyways, the dessert choices are minimal to fruit and this yummy rice pudding. I give them 5⁄5 on service. Never had a problem with any of them and they were very kind. Food is 5⁄5 too. Everything in the buffet is delicious, you will not be disappointed.

Came back again with the same date. And had yet another amazing experience here, if not better. We did the same non-vegetarian meal for 2 deal again. But this time either we were more acquainted with Indian food or we had a different server, but we were given many more options. For appetizer, you get to choose between pakora or samosas and soup or salad. This time, we chose everything opposite of what we got last year — so we ordered the chicken samosa and lentil soup. The chicken samosa was fried to perfection, and the filling was the best I’ve had for a chicken samosa. The lentil soup was also mind blowingly flavorful. Next we got to choose between rice or biryani, which we found out is basically Indian version of fried rice. Of course we’d go with the biryani. Oh my gosh this was so delicious. We were going to order the vegetable biryani but our server told us to try the chicken instead. This was my favorite dish, packed with spices galore. I could’ve eaten just this and I would’ve been happy. I realize this is what we had last year. It’s just we were never told to choose between«rice or biryani;» they just probably selected the best one for us from the getco since we were so clueless. The next choice was a chicken or lamb entrée. We got the chicken tikka massala. This was my boyfriend’s favorite. The flavors were very delicious. It wasn’t my favorite, but I enjoyed it. I’d choose last year’s mango chicken curry instead. We also got fresh garlic naan(you get choice of garlic or regular). Probably my second favorite of the night(I feel like such a carb queen). This time, the naan was fresh out of the oven and was garlicky perfection. Also coming with the deal is dal of the day and sizzling chicken tandoori. The chicken was very juicy as it sizzled away on the hot griddle. And at the end, we got to choose our dessert. We chose an Indian version of mango ice cream topped with pistachio powder, which was a very refreshing cap to the meal rich with so many flavors. Everything was spectacular, and we stuffed ourselves silly. Considering the amount of food presented to us, we really didn’t hold back and barely had half a box of leftovers. Last but definitely not least, our waiter was very friendly and nice — Ahmet(spelling?) was his name. He made the evening even more enjoyable with his suggestions, sense of humor, attention to detail, and friendliness. One day we’ll be coming back to try the lunch buffet. Excited. :D

I’ve only dined here for the lunch buffet a few times. It’s a pretty good deal to sample several Indian dishes for $ 10.95. You get a choice of fresh, warm, traditional naan or garlic naan with the lunch buffet. A lot of the buffet items are vegetarian, some vegan, several types of curry —(vegetarian, chicken, goat), basmati rice, salad bar, and a few desserts. I usually stick to the dishes I’m familiar with — tandoori chicken, tikka masala, saag, basmati rice, samosa, etc. but I’m always willing to try new dishes. I tried some potato & cabbage side, rice with almonds and raisins, vegetable curry, chicken curry in a tomato based sauce, etc. This is probably my least descriptive Unilocal review. Forgive me. I’m not too familiar with Indian food. I wanted to take pics of the descriptions at the buffet station but I didn’t want to be that dorky Unilocaler who takes pics. Even though I didn’t know some of the dishes I was eating, I enjoyed my buffet. I think some of the curries could have been spicier but they were still fine and tasty. The restaurant is well decorated & charming with the traditional Indian décor & vibrant colors. The service was very attentive & welcoming. I think 4 or 5 different servers helped me. One guy suggested I use two different sauces for my samosa when he saw that I just grabbed it without a sauce. It was a minty sauce and a tamarind glazed sauce? I was full off 2.5 plates, garlic naan, and kheer for dessert. I’ll be back and hopefully I’ll remember the names of the dishes I’ve had. If you happen to know what I had from my weak descriptions & food pics, please educate me. ;)
