The food was amazing here. Probably the best dinner I’ve had in months! The service by John was great. The place is romantic yet casual enough. Highly recommend the chicken piccata and penne with lousiana sausage. Thank you sunset & vines!

I ordered the Fettuccine with Heirloom tomatoes, garlic, basil and olives and was very disappointed with it… I don’t even think the tomatoes were heirloom tomatoes, more like grape tomatoes. It tasted very bland and dry. On top of that, I found hair twice on the dish with the butter… Not coming back.

Love this place. They have great steaks, wines, appetizers and a beautiful view of Lake Las Vegas. Friday nights you will see couples and families strolling as well as boats on the lake. Away from the strip in a heavenly setting! Nice variety of food choices.

It’s my favorite place in the village. Very serene on the patio. The hot bread with olive tampenade and every meal has been delicious. .Their wine tasting on Tuesday is fun .John and Frenci give excellent service. .highly recommend this place.

Came at 4:30 pm. Nice view including the lake and the sunset. Good food, we love fresh oysters and chicken picatta, good selections of wine, amazing staff(John is our server). And, the price is just right. Will definitely come back. Im looking forward that this place will have a lot of customers soon.

If you say you’re open at 12 pm make sure you are. You opened at 1pm today with no sign saying so. We drove from Summerlin to try this place out and it was closed even though we were there at 1130, waited till noon and it was still closed. Disappointed we went to the crappy Luna Russo(don’t go there).

Our company is here for a 2016 kickoff meeting. We are all staying at the Hilton. We were very hungry at 4:30 p.m., so wandered around the«village» looking for food. In my party were 4 people: 3 burly guys and me. We arrived at the restaurant at 4:45 pm and were«greeted» by the owner who looked and acted as if we were bothering him by coming in before 5 pm. He said they weren’t ready to serve dinner until 5 pm but that perhaps we could have an appetizer or soup first. We agreed. It was an overly long dinner and I won’t go into the details but will make a few observations about this place: 1. Service was slow. I actually had to get up myself and find a pitcher of water to refill water glasses at the table. Several employees must’ve seen me pouring water from their pitcher into my dinner mates’ glasses but no one acknowledged it or apologized. 2. The clearing of plates from our table didn’t happen until after the dishes had been sitting there for 15 – 20 minutes. 3. The food was delicious. We ordered penne with sausage, the bisque of the day, the cheese board, and roasted chicken with mashed potatoes. Dessert was fabulous: key lime pie, limoncello mascarpone, and Nutella cheesecake. Very tasty all around. 4. The owner/cook seemed condescending when we didn’t order the most expensive food in the place. We stuck mainly with pasta and soup. The guys drank water. I had a glass of wine. No one ordered appetizers. Summary: The food was delicious but the service and attitude need improvement.

Outstanding restaurant on the lake at Lake Las Vegas. We stopped in for prime rib night. It was excellent. Outstanding servers and bartender. We have dined here several times over the years. The menu is extensive and the wine list is nice, with a lot of wines for every price range.

We went there for a price fix for New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately we didn’t call early enough for a good time. I got the heirloom tomato and mozzarella. Pretty good. Though I think they added a little too much salt to plate itself and tomatoes should have been room temperature not ice cold. My husband has lobster bisque which he scarfed down. We both got fillet mignon. The vegetables and potatoes with parsnip were all gross. Way too much butter. The fillet was delicious!!! And huge too. Service was great. Large selection of wines. I wouldn’t hesitate to comming back.

Well we come to support businesses in lake Las Vegas, we are locals. This was definitely a first for me. On a very rare date night with my husband. We are seated… Then asked to leave. Apparently management couldn’t accommodate 2 people on a walk in basis. Well I hope they are posh enough to stay in business. Just horrible. I actually thought the server was joking… Turns out he was not. So dissapointed. Never coming back.

They are trying. So we get all dressed up coming from Westin Lake LV(one of my regular stay-cation spots. It was a Sunday night and I know it’s like a a ghost town out there now days so I wasn’t expecting much which is why I gave them 4 stars, they probably deserve 3.5 really. We were out celebrating a friend’s birthday and I was the only one in the group who had been to Lake LV. I love to take my dog, paddle-board, relax, ect. Let’s start with getting completely lost trying to find this place, mostly because hardly any businesses are open/operating in the area; seriously not even many lights. We finally find the parking area closest to the boardwalk area where you have to walk a couple hundred yards to read the ‘Sunset&Vines’ sign. Walking through the doors I felt an immediate Italian vibe which I liked, hence ‘Vine’s’ in the name; very pretty décor. However it is an American restaurant with no background music at all, extremely awkward when there are less than 6 people in the place. We all(4) waited around near the front hoping to get, at least, the only employee looking person in there’s attention. She finally looked at me like …“what?” after I walked towards her, I asked if we could be seated or have a server and I quickly learned that she was the server/bartender/hostess/possible cook too. She tried to be nice and helpful but even as another server appeared after she seated us, service was still very slow and there were less than two hand-fulls of people in there. When my friends asked for silver tequila shots there was a major struggle behind the bar on what to use so my boyfriend ran up to the rescue helping pick a tequila, they didn’t have Patron or Jose. The food was tasty and so was the bottle of white we ordered but the menu was small and somewhat confusing. Ordering white truffle mac-n-cheese the way it is put, «surf-n-turf», sounded so good until it came out almost the size of a kid’s bowl with little tiny baby shrimps in the mac. I would go back(mainly for the bacon wrapped stuffed dates) if I was close by but the dining choices out there all together are slim pickens and Sunset&Vines just doesn’t have much of a market to work with, especially when they really need foot traffic per the location. Pretty tough spot they are in but I love the name and it really so much potential. It was not a bad experience, just not a great one either and obviously the great company we had for birthday shenanigans is what kept the dinner alive. They did bring out a rich velvet chocolate cake for my friend’s birthday which was sweet. Like I said earlier– They are trying. I think they should do a Groupon deal to hype up the place, if they haven’t already…

This is honestly the worst service that I have ever had. Our server was named John and he did not do a great job serving our table. Not only were we seated in this back room with low light and no music – there wasn’t a single friendly person working here. There were about 5 total guests here when we got in and it still took 30 minutes to even get our orders in. Portions are super small. Food is overpriced. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the food actually tasted pretty good! Not a good experience, save your money and go somewhere else.

Let’s start with desert! I had to restrain from licking my plate of poached pear in cognac. This treat followed a delightful mini-meal. I ordered the house salad which was fresh and tasty. Best was the«mini-meal» salmon taco that was a mouth watering delight! The salmon was broken up and toasted on a grill as was the flour tortilla. The salmon was placed in a guacamole and salsa type sauce perfectly complimenting the fish. Our waitress suggested a Pinot Noir to go with my meal, and I chose the a California glass(Montery, Sonoma…) — best glass of wine I’ve had since I was in Sonoma. The décor was almost too-too, but it didn’t really matter because the food was not, it was beautiful visually and in my mouth. Returning here? Yes, if I ever come this way again and I will totally recommend to all!

Love this place! When you first walk into this venue, you walk into an medieval wine cellar. I love the décor, it is a bit out dated and needs a little bit of dusting and good cleaning but other then that it was beautiful. Its a small venue, but none the less I loved it. They offer wineries that are smaller and if you are a wino this place is perfect! Our server Stephanie was great! She had personality and very good at selling the dishes, which after we tried them, they def didnt need selling at all. Best dished included: Truffle Mac n Cheese(seriously licked the dish clean SOo good), Salmon Sashimi, Parm cheese on the cheese platter, and the steak Taco was excellent. There really wasn’t anything that we tried that we didn’t enjoy. We also had the stuffed dates and fries which both were great. We both enjoyed our wine as well. Go to this place if you are in town. Lake Las Vegas is beautiful.

I’ve eaten here several times and keep coming back. The tapas menu is great(try the sliders) and the stuffed date appetizers are to die for. Service is OK, if you are in a rush this may not be the right spot. The location is fantastic, right on the lake if you sit outside, and the inside is well decorated. I will keep coming back. Dan

Went here for Valentine’s Day one person Seating, greeting, take orders, bussing tables, serving food… Basically doing everything on such a busy day. From the moment we walked it we had bad bad service… I was so thirsty and couldn’t get his attention that a lady at a nearby table also noticed the bad service & offered me her glass of water that she didn’t drink… food was great jus really bad service!!! Was Not even offered to see the desert menu… We waited around for the check & he took so long I had to get up and look for him… The out side patio was a beautiful scene overlooking the lake but there was bird poop every where… On the tables on the chairs… Leaves were scattered & looked as if no one bothered to even clean the outside… I will definitely not be going there again

My friend had her wedding reception here. There were only about 20 of us so it was perfect. They have a 2nd floor area that overlooks the main restaurant where our tables were sat. The place itself is very cute, quaint and romantic. The wedding couple had pre-ordered appetizers, but the entrees were left to us to order and then of course there was the wedding cake. The apps were steak tacos, and they were good but definitely tasted like they had been sitting out for quite some time. After that, we were served normal salads. Then we waited FOREVER for our entrees. They finally came and my chicken piccata was so dry. I was starving though so I just ate it. I should’ve opted for the pork because that looked really good. I realize that it’s Lake Las Vegas and they probably don’t see too much traffic, but being that this was pre-booked I’m surprised they didn’t have a little more help available. Regardless, I do think the place has potential to earn more stars so I’d like to go back eventually and try other things and not in a large party environment.
