Quick, friendly service, but way too expensive for the type and amount of labor done.
The water heater was leaking, so both water valves were turned off. We couldn’t get it immediately fixed and it was some time before I personally was able to look at it. I tried to turn it back on and it wasn’t leaking any longer, but I couldn’t get the hot water to come out. Later, I found out that someone must have turned off the gas too. Had no idea, but I really didn’t want to mess with the gas either.
I called Sears, told them what had happened, and they informed me that parts were covered, but not the labor. I asked what the estimate would be based on what they assume could be the problem, and they said that it all depends and that it could be many things.
The nice technician Willy came over the same day we called it in. He didn’t see any leaking and that’s when I found out that the gas wasn’t even on. So it cost us $ 89 for him to turn on the gas. Sad day.

Quick, reliable but overcharged. Since the tech didn’t give me a quote to fix it, Sears gave me a refund of everything but the service call of $ 59.
