Polar Xpress Pools and Spas

I would not use Polar Express. Although Eric is very personable and funny, they don’t do the best work. They were suppose to replace or patch my grout where needed around pool, extend deck, Pour new concrete where needed, replace sand stone around the pool where it needed to be replaced do to wear and tear, and build a fire pit. The fire pit had to be redone three times. And they were very angry that they had to redo it.
After a couple month’s the grout they replaced around the pool is cracking and coming out in chunks… He refuses to fix it — Said it’s normal. It is the concrete separating from pool. There are cracks in concrete where he patched it… I let him convence me to patch it because he said it would look better instead of replacing it. He skipped a step in spraying the cool deck causing my daughter to slip and fall while bumping a volleyball back and forth with a friend. It wasn’t even wet yet. He had to come back out and redo that. During the patch process, he ground down other areas of the deck and now the water pools up on the concrete in that area. While replacing one of the sand stone’s they cracked a tile inside the pool, and didn’t say anything or try to fix it. I found it and made them replace it. I’m not happy I spent all the money I did only to have the same problems month’s later. I will never recommend him.

Dilimma– I want to change my 2 star rating to a 3 ½ star rating. I don’t think Unilocal is able to do that so I am writing a new review on my completed pool project to update Eric’s rating. After 2 weeks of the completed project, I am happy to say that it is perfectly done and I have no complaints other than the of time line and work management issues as noted in my earlier review. Don’t be afraid to use Erik’s company but insist from day one for accurate work schedule.

Horrible quality of work and Eric is not trust worthy. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Had a pool replastering with retile done on my pool. Eric, the owner, strikes an easy-​going approach to business. Gives a fair price. The work is decent. Communication is decent. Towards the end of the job, starts to rush on to the next job and doesn’t get the details. Offers no advice or guidance whatsoever on starting the pool. Would have been 5 stars except the wheels started coming off towards the finish with the oversight of details and inability to stick to the contract due to cost overruns.
Workmanship appears pretty good after a summer of using the pool.
