Mr D’s Barber Shop

I’ve had some bad haircuts in my life, but Ramon literally butchered my head beyond recognition. I asked him to fade the sides up from a 1.5 to a 3 and to scissor cut the top to about 1.25 inches (just long enough to part). He proceeded to take the clippers and straight shaved the sides all the way up! There is no fade at all, there is a solid line where the top meets the sides. I look like I just joined The Marines. I had to shave it all off when I got home, there was no saving this cut.

My husband went here 2 weeks ago to get a haircut. This is his first time here. When he came home, he was so upset and disappointed. Before his cut, he had asked the barber to just fade up the sides, leave the top, and even provided a photo of himself as a reference for the barber.
During my husband’s cut, the barber turned him away from the mirrors to face the TV. When it was done, my husband was upset that the barber took off too much from the top and could no longer slick back his hair because it was cut too short. He never asked him to trim the top, but he did anyway.
It’s sad to leave a less than good review, after all the good reviews here. So perhaps we caught this barber on an off day. So my husband will not be returning here again, because his expectations were not met.
It was so bad, my husband went to a Supercuts and asked the stylist to just trim it all down really short. But she convinced him not to and had to fade his sides up better and gave my husband a side comb look to give his hair a chance to grow out long enough for a slick back again. If it wasn’t for her, my husband would be wearing ball caps till his hair grew out again.
Here’s our advice, don’t go on a Tuesday morning to see Ramon. You’re better off buying a clipper and doing it yourself.

So my boyfriend stops here to get his haircut after seeing the positive reviews. He was seated with a lady barber who was either having a very bad day or a bad reaction to medication. The haircut was going so poorly another barber had to step in to finish the haircut that was beyond saving. If you choose to go here be sure to wait for someone else.

Very talented and nice barbers. I would recommend them to give you a a good cut better than the one across the street

Best haircut I’ve had in years.
The other barber I was using wasn’t in and I couldn’t take it anymore. So I drive by this place and went in.

I’ve been back twice and both of my sons have gone and we all had great service, a great haircut and we walked out super happy!

I moved to LV around a year ago and originally bobbed around to Great Clips etc. I discovered Mr. D’s (near my office) and this is where I will continue getting my ears lowered. Ramon is my preferred barber and he does a wonderful job. Very approachable man that is easy to talk to and provides great service. The whole staff is very nice.

Robert Lyman did a great job cutting my difficult curly hair. He was very thorough and paid attention to detail. His taper and fades are on point and he lined my beard up great. I would definitely recommend him as a barber and he’s a cool dude in general. His number is 702−885−8100.

Mr D’s is a very relaxing place to get a haircut. Rob L. does my hair and he understood my hair more than anyone I had in the past. Tell him what you want and you will get what you ask for. He will my barber for many many years.

Barber didn’t listen to a word I said, cut it the way he wanted. Worse haircut I’ve ever had. Never going back.

Great little shop! Loved the feel and got my beard fixed up. Ramon did a great job. Very reasonable pricing also.

Went for a second visit to Mr. D, same quality cut! Dude can cut hair, he is super busy, best to make an appointment.

Ok, truth is both Dave (Mr.D) and Tiffany can cut hair with the best of them. However, Tiffany only works part-​time, and Dave is usually running behind because of his pursuit of perfection. Seriously, Dave takes his time and you can expect to be in the chair 40 – 45 minutes.
I have a busy schedule like a lot of people with families and full-​time jobs. Therefore, I usually can’t wait around for Dave and his overlapping appointments. Also, I prefer a barber shop that uses a straight razor to line you up.
Although everyone is so nice, I only come here now and then when I have time to wait around.

I’ve been getting my haircut from Rose Valencia for many years now. Always consistent and caring. Sure you can be a guinea pig and go to supercuts or some other amaturer barber shop and try your luck, but like gambling in Las Vegas you are bound to lose! Don’t take the chance on your looks and for $ 15 its a tremendous deal! Tip heavy and tip often! You’ll see Rose is quite a Rose! :-)

Rose is the best!!.
I have lived in Las Vegas since 1997. After I came here, I tried out several barbers. They were all nice, but I thought I should look for a more experienced barber and more comfort in meeting the barber.
When I came across Rose, I was glad that I got to know her. Since then, no barber has touched my hair besides Rose. I have moved the barber shop I go as she moved. I simply chased her. She is simply the best!
To be fair with you and Rose, I let you know that I have not met her outside her shop in my 14 years with her. So, I do not have any reason to praise her professional service other than my motivation of sharing my great experience with public, like yourself. But over the course of years, Rose and I have shared our life stories such as family members or buying a new car, good and bad, happiness and grief. She has proven that she is being a great role model of American citizens by her work ethic and caring for others. She treats her customers with her big caring hearts. That is what made her stand out of all barbers in town. Every 30minutes haircut is, to me, sitting in a very comfortable warm and compassionate air you do not have in your daily life.
In last April, when Rose saw me entering her shop, she immediately had tears in her eyes because I originally came from Japan where tsunami has attacked.

She is that kind of barber.

I have one rule concerning barbers. That is: you can trust the old guy with 30+ years experience to not mess up your hair. Mr. Ramon is awesome.

Add me to the list of Tiffany fans.
I’m hesitant to write a further review simply because I don’t want too many people to find out about her, but that would just be selfish. She’s still there, she’s great. Tell your friends, but not your friends’ friends, I still want to be able to get an appointment.
Just an FYI bring cash or expect to go get some.

Tiffany is still there and still the best haircut in town!

It is with great pleasure that I Unilocal Tiffany at Mr D’s Barber Shop. I used to get my hair cut by random, overweight effeminate men and always left with a different haircut and an uncomfortable look on my face every time. Not that there’s anything wrong with random, overweight effeminate men but they just can’t hold a candle to Tiffany’s hair-​cutting prowess. Not only has she blessed me with the greatest haircut of my life, she has the uncanny ability to replicate it every time she cuts my hair. You would assume this to be a quality all hair stylists possess, but then you would be surprised. To top it off, she is so laid back that you can send her text messages to set up an appointment. If you’d like, you can sit in awe and listen to the highly intelligent parrots talk about the stock market (this place is so awesome they have talking parrots, miniature golf and «Tiger Woods») or you could just have a conversation with Tiffany while she cuts your hair: she’s just a genuinely cool person. Highly recommended.

Following the advise of the first Unilocaler; I asked for Tiffany.
She squeezed me right after I called. Walk-​ins are welcome, but give a call before heading over. There is convenient parking (like the rest of Henderson) and quick access with the main cross roads.
The décor of the place is pretty rockin. It is a oldschool golf and sea captain feel with a parrot in back for added ambiance. There is a flatscreen on the wall with travel channel or some other watchable entertainment while you get your cut.
Tiffany is a gem with a beautiful smile and outgoing personality. She is great at her job and seems to truly like it. She is friendly and talkative, but not overly conversational.
I was able to get a great scissor cut and a beard trim in about 20 minutes for $ 20. I walked out the door feeling and looking great.
There are other stalls and barbers at Mr. D’s, but I am confident that Tiffany will hook you up.
