Very good! Moved away from Henderson years ago but constantly come back to visit family. On our last visit my husband stumbled upon J & B and asked to try it out. His«trying it out» consisted of buying one of nearly everything on the menu… Can’t think of one item someone did not like. All were great, some better than others but all good. I’m sure this will be a MUST-stop for my husband during each family visit now!

This place is a definite gem … As you look for the joint, don’t be thrown off that’s in a neighborhood of single family homes. … Awesome food … Nice folks … Incredible prices. I had the sampler platter with pulled pork, a rib and some turkey(it was too cold to make the pit chicken) and it was absolutely tasty. This place could go head to head with any bbq joint.

trying the mutton today but everything we got last time(we did a few sampler plates) was fall-off-the-bone tender and juicy. the flavors were wonderful and makes my mouth water just remembering it. we tried a few sides too and regardless of what you order, make sure you get the homemade potato salad. it’s THEBEST! the people who work here are friendly and the guys(j & b) are great. it’s off the main drag but definitely worth the trip. yum!

off the beaten path, but worth the detour. this place was suggested by a local. some of the most tender ribs i’ve ever had. and ribs are one of my own specialties! the potato salad was absolutely insane — big chunks of red potato with the best dressing i’ve ever tasted. the cole slaw was equally excellent — just the right combination of tang & sweetness. everything we tried(ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken) was moist, tender, expertly smoked and perfectly seasoned. don’t forget the great sweet tea! we’ll be back!!!

What is that you say? You don’t like styrofoam? Well, that too darn bad! Because everything you will consume at J & B Barbeque is going to be served up on some of the best styrofoam that Kentucky has to offer. Where else can you get an entire sample of everything the joint has to offer for under $ 8.00? I am used to paying upwards of $ 15.00 for such saucy piles of meat. The potato salad is so good, you would swear it was made by a gourmet chef. The beans are not the high-point of the meal, and neither is the white bread. Too bad they cannot toast that bread, and dare I say— even add some garlic and butter to it. Sure, they are heavy-handed with the black pepper shaker— But, the butter basted BBQ chicken is worth coming back for over and over again. After tasting everything, the chicken is by far the best. Try anything else and don’t blame me for the outcome. They will look at you like you are crazy when you ask for a side of sauce, but it is so worth it. The sauce is sweet and thick, but with a slight vinegar kick. Also, heavy on the black pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Don’t drive over the bridge for this stuff. But, if you happen to be in town, you might want to give them a try.

What a great little unassuming barbecue place. The chicken was by far my favorite. Delicious, moist, and the skin was awesome. I also give them some props for their tangy sauce — it’s a little«edgier» than anywhere else nearby. The pulled pork was pretty good and came in a fair amount of sauce — so it was bun ready. I though the ribs were really fatty, but decent and the beans were lacking. They need some tang!

Small clean and friendly. This place is popular with locals, it was busy when I was there for lunch. The barbecue here is tangy, not sweet like the bbq I’m used to in Evansville. I liked the pulled pork sandwich but the baked beans didn’t do anything for me. The ribs looked good, I’ll have to try them the next time I’m here.
