I was a little apprehensive about my appointment. The two prior experiences I had with audiologists were less than favorable. Well, I worried for nothing lol. Miss Christina, the lady that answered when I called was so friendly and helpful. I had a good feeling about this place after I scheduled my appointment. She assured me that I would love Dr. Britany Barber. Fast forward to my appointment. Miss Christina was right. I love Dr. Britany! She fitted me with two hearing aids that I have been needing and answered all my questions. It’s nice to have a medical professional that cares!

This unsolicited and uncompensated review is for Dr. Brandon Rawlings and his superb staff at the Horizon Ridge Office of Anderson Audiology. Several years ago my Mother(now 90 years old) was diagnosed with hearing loss. We obtained hearing aids through Kaiser in California. Mom would not wear them so we returned them. In the succeeding years, Mom developed dementia. After reading studies that show that uncorrected hearing loss contributes to dementia and that correcting hearing loss may impede the progress of dementia by up to 30%, I had Mom’s hearing tested last year after relocating to Henderson. This test showed profound hearing loss. Hoping that I could get Mom to use hearing aids, I did some research on features of various hearing aid brands and arranged consultations for Mom with three audiologists located in Henderson. Of the three, Mom and I chose«Dr. Brandon» for among the following reasons: 1) In our initial consultation, he spoke directly and clearly to Mom and established rapport based on genuine caring for her as a person. 2) The consultation included a thorough discussion of Mom’s hearing loss including graphics that explained that some of the loss was due to nerve damage that could not be corrected with amplification.(This was not explained by the two other audiologists interviewed.) 3) He did not«oversell» — that is, he did not encourage her to purchase hearing aids that had unnecessary features for her lifestyle. 4) He replied promptly to my numerous post-consultation email inquiries. 5) He listened to my concerns and worked with me to select a brand that offered a technology that might compensate for the nerve damage and obtained that brand although it is not the brand typically sold by Anderson Audiology. 6) Dr. Brandon’s Patient Care Coordinator, Cristina, not only always provides superior service but makes Mom feel as though she is an important person in her own right. Mom now has had hearing aids for more than six months. Immediately upon wearing aids, her attitude improved and the progress of her dementia has slowed. She now participates in activities and has shown more interest in her personal appearance. Dr. Brandon has scheduled timely follow up appointments to ensure the settings are correct.(Mom always is happy to go to the«hearing aid doctor.) Throughout this process, Dr. Brandon has demonstrated that he is much more than a hearing aid dispenser. Rather, he is a man of honor, ethics and integrity. But more than that, his expertise in his profession and dedication to his patients has significantly improved the quality of my Mom’s life and, for that, I am forever grateful to him.

In looking for a place to do repairs on my Grandmothers hearing aid I called Anderson Audiology and asked if they could help. I was treated incredibly well over the phone and even better when I arrived. This is without a doubt the best experience I have ever had with any form of a health care provider. I recommend this place for anyone looking for hearing aids or ear exams. Staff here is amazing. Thank you so much.
