This used to be our favorite winery however it has changed over the past couple years and not for the better. It has a beautiful view and decent wines but the service is absolutely terrible now. It was tolerable before especially since they had pretzels and many types of mustards you could dip while you waited for your turn but they no longer have the mustards out to taste. The past few times that we have went the tasting room service has been so slow and we weren’t even there a busy time(there were 2 other couples around the bar tasting) and one worker. They need to hire more staff because they seem to be severely understaffed.

The man who runs this place is so rude. We got here at 4:30pm. They closed at 6pm. We got a glass of wine and say outside. He kept coming outside to tell us how much time we had left(50 min, 30min, 20min) Really unprofessional and not accommodating. Ruined the mood

This winery has the best view from the east side of Seneca. They have so many wines and most are very good. It’s hard to review wine because everyone has their own preference. If you ever have a chance to visit and talk to David make sure he gives you the run down of the wines!

Breathtaking view of Seneca Lake as you approach the winery/vineyard from the main road. Beautiful tasting room with a panoramic view as well. Nice to experience a Rose of Pinot Noir since most Rose’s in the area are from Cab Franc, which is okay too! Nice Cab Sav in addition to the Reislings. Worth the visit!

Our favorite stop on our wine trail journey. Our server generously helped those in our party who were exploring wines –venturing from their beer roots– to discover wines that suited their palettes. Their Pinot Noir had an incredible aroma and their Meritage had a great mouth feel and clean finish. Now that it’s fall I couldn’t resist trying their cider: wow! I had never tasted a cider so refreshing and that actually tasted like apple. We took our tastings out on the back deck to enjoy the incredible view.

This was one of the better wineries we stopped at. Great view while you are in the tasting room. I loved our steward you could tell she really knew her stuff! Once she understood what each of us liked she made recommendations for others we should taste that were not on the list. I am not generally a fan of Chardonnay, but it was really good here; we ended up purchasing a bottle! Confusing to find so be alert!

My husband and I really enjoyed our tasting here. Our server was knowledgable and very helpful. We purchased a few bottles of wine and can’t wait to enjoy them at home.

This was our first stop on our wine tour and if I could I’d give it a 3 ½ stars. When we first arrived the guy working at the register was very rude while we tried to collect all of our money for our group tasting. When we had called originally to set up the tasting we were not told that the money could not be paid individually because according to the man at the counter it messed up their system. When I told him we were told it all had to be paid together he got defensive and instead of trying to work with us kept saying he didn’t know who would talk to is and not tell us we all had to pay together. Luckily we had much better customer service with the woman that did our tasting she was very friendly and they had a deck that you could go out on with a beautiful view of the lake.

The tastings were generous and the server was so helpful and pleasant. the view is fantastic! The wines are delightful and definitely not ordinary. Tastes we will never get anywhere else. We brought our own small party tray of snacks and had a most pleasant afternoon. my favorite winery so far. If you’re wanting to taste the unexpected and like it a little sweet try there Niagara Mist.

This was a second tasting of a day spent on the Seneca Wine Trail. This place was very nice place to stop. I definitely liked the organization of the place — paying at the front and getting your glass and then going to the tasting room. Definitely easier than paying in the tasting room. The cost was $ 3 for six wines. The woman in the tasting room was a little standoffish at first but warmed up as the tasting wore on. At first there wasn’t much explaination of the wines but when I mentioned I was taking a wine class, she started explaining more. I just wish it had been there from the start and I didn’t need to say anything. While there were a lot of choices to taste, there weren’t that many price points for wines. Overall I enjoyed the wines and the experience at the winery.

Stopped in for an unplanned tasting. There was barely any other customers in the place and the help was rude & snooty about accommodating a party of about 10 people. They wanted to charge us more for a tasting because we were a bus party. It’s not worth it to visit this winery for the way we were treated.

Unfortunately, as the designated driver of my group on the day we visited, I can’t speak for the wine here. I can only review the experience as a spectator. As we walked in, I waited near the entrance for the rest of my friends to come in. I overheard a group of people(who were two separate parties) complaining about the service in the tasting room, saying that the woman was too busy serving her friends to care about them. My friends went to the counter with the young man, so we missed out on that. First impression in the tasting room? They were woefully understaffed. The place was packed, but there were only two people behind the counters. I didn’t quite get why there were only two staff members running the tastings on a Saturday afternoon in August. It was really obvious that they were in the weeds, which brings me to my next point… I felt bad for the young guy behind our counter because it was too much for one person to handle, but he didn’t really have a good service poker face. A man came to the counter to ask for his tasting sheet back. I’m assuming that it was to get a refund, as the guy was clearly annoyed looking for it and then loudly crumpled the other papers in his hand and chucked them in the bin. Then my husband asked to get crackers so they could cleanse their palates and he was told no with a major attitude. The guy later thanked us for our patience and apologized for the cracker incident, but I was already past uncomfortable. Couple that with a few rude and drunk customers around us and this was a pretty unpleasant experience. With so many wineries in the area, I doubt I’d come back here. Maybe we hit it on a bad day, but I’d be hesitant to find out.

This is a spot in a very winery congested section of southeastern Seneca Lake(as if «winery congested» is a bad thing… LOL). Frankly the wine and location didn’t move me as much as nearby Atwater did. This comes partially from the quality of the wine(ok, but nothing to write home about), and partially from the unfriendliness of the people working there, from the woman who worked the cash register to the pourer, a young guy who had a robotic personality. I had been to this winery before, about three years ago, when a fun group of Harley riders were at the tasting bar with me. At one point the(much more friendly) pourer asked us to roar for a semi-dry red they have called«Roaring Red.» No roaring on this most recent visit. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a three star location, which is not bad. If this was the only option on the lake, I’d say it’s a winner. But with so many other spots literally a stone’s throw away, you can do better.

Wine is mediocre, but the help is snooty & rude. They go out of their way to help people they *think* have money and ignore those they *think* do not. Their tasting menu is far too large.

Great reds! The weekend we went, they had the best reds out of all the wineries we tried on Seneca lake. The prices are reasonable and the tasting was fun and informative!

Tasty Rieslings here, we got the 2011 and the 2010. Reds were also very smooth and mature.

Tasting is $ 5 and you can taste all their wines which is whole entire report paper. I didn’t like their wine. Doesn’t have smooth finish.

$ 5.00 for 18 tastes holy cannoli, and they have good wines. This place is a definite spot to hit if you are on a wine tour, and the view is one of the best that we saw. Little bread sticks for palate cleansing. The only minus was they were horribly understaffed. There was one poor woman trying to pour for about 25 people.
