Country Inn and Suites

We were really excited about finding such a good deal on a room for a last minute getaway remotely. It was a super big plus that breakfast was included, and there was a hot tub/​indoor pool. Upon arrival we were greeted by fresh cookies and coffee which made the welcome well. Breakfast was okay on day one with many egg omelets and potatoes, but day two the eggs were watery and the potatoes had meat on them. I was super saddened by the lack of communication that they were going to be having a fire alarm check up. I would have changed my order of plans for the day had they shared this information with me on check in or at breakfast with some signage but when we went down stairs to check it was shared that they were making calls about it during the time in which it was happening: /

A friend of mine and I stayed here last night, although we weren’t in the room much but to shower and sleep, we had a few problems to say the least.
We spent the evening at the theater and mall and when er returned to the hotel, we had just enough time to jump in the hot tub before it closed.
The moment we checked in I went to use the bathroom in our room, after a 3 hour trip it seemed necessary, but when I tried to flush it wouldn’t go down. So that was the FIRST time we had to call the maintenance man. This morning when we awoke and began to get ready for our travels we had to call the maintenance once again because the toilet was completely clogged. He came and snaked it, & I will say that both times we called the front desk the maintenance man came very quickly to fix the problem. With this being a busy hotel I can’t truly fault them for having the clogged commode & I do appreciate them coming quickly to our aide.
My main problem was that this morning we awoke to having the chain pulled up and a receipt put into our room, which means that someone tried to get in the room while we were sleeping,!!! I’m sorry, but that is so unacceptable that it can not be forgiven. If we hadn’t had the chain pulled who knows what could’ve happened, or how long they would have stayed in the room!
We didn’t make it early enough for the continental breakfast but it did smell wonderful and I saw they had a make your own waffle station. They also have a little store where they sell small snacks and drinks, which is definitely a plus seeing as how there were no gas stations close to be able to grab a drink.
All in all I’m disappointed in this experience and will probably never stay at one of these hotels in the chain again because I can’t get over the fact of someone trying to get in,!

I stay at Country Inn whenever possible. I like the «same-​ness» of them. This one is no exception. Friendly and helpful as always. When my single night stretched into two, they accommodated me without issue. I’m working nights in the area this week, so was coming and going at odd hours. The staff was helpful and understanding, though I get some odd looks when checking out before midnight.

Clean and pleasant. Airport shuttle was fairly quick. Had no issues with the room except some noise from water running when neighbor used the shower. Wifi was good. It’s a standard hotel for the price you pay.

Disappointed to report another 30 min delay for an airport pick-​up because the front desk was so busy (strangely empty however when I checked in). The front desk assigned me to a smoking room without mentioning it at check-​in, so I had to trek back to reception to locate the non-​smoking room promised on the reservation per my Carlson Club No. Sadly, the only other non-​smoking room available was a suite for 3X the cost of my reservation or a double bed room. Needless to say, Marriott was pleased to accommodate me in a sparkling NS king room. I think I am finished with Carlson Country Inn!

Clean rooms. Friendly front desk personnel. Ugly décor. Good selection for breakfast, but need more seating. Pool and hot tub were very nice!

I had to stay here because I missed a connecting flight in Cincinnati. They picked me and the other half-​dozen downtrodden and whisked us away to a hotel that wasn’t the best place, wasn’t the worst either. My room had a working Micro-​fridge and some late-​night takeout was available in the area. They do have free wi-​fi, and it was fast enough to be able to skype. i would stay here again, the room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was decent.
