Was in Heber visiting with friends and they were looking forward to showing me this very cool, throwback ice cream shop. When we approached, we saw that they are closed M-TH. I was so bummed, but it does say to go into the AVON theater and ask about ice cream. I am so happy that we did! The owner of both the theater and sweet shop took us into the parlor and made us some fabulous sundaes! He makes his own ice cream and there are about 12 flavors. We even plugged in the juke box and had a little private party! He was so accomodating and so sweet, we very sad to hear that he may have to close it down within the next year. I was shocked! I have been looking for this type of place in Salt Lake and nothing is really close. This has a small town, old school feel that is charming and so much fun! I will keep coming back and I urge you to do the same! My banana split was seriously HUGE and delicious for about $ 5.50. Other items were single scoop cones and 1 hot fudge sundae. All were creamy and fabulous. Do yourselves a favor and make this place a regular stop with friends, family, or just for a quick milkshake when you feel the need. You won’t be disappointed!
