Bad in store experience with a fine time ordering flowers over the phone. While picking up the flowers, I was told to come up to a register by one florist, who went to look for my flowers. Another bold florist seemed to think I was cutting in line. It took a tense and uncomfortable while to find my flowers. As I waited, I overheard one customer complaining her delivered flowers were dead. When they finally found my flowers, some looked old.

I paid $ 250.00 for 3 dozen long-stem red roses in a vase. They arrived by the promised time and were beautiful. BUT, 3 days later, they were dead despite our precisely following the instructions for keeping them fresh that accompanied them. I’ve bought roses from Publix floral shop before and they were beautiful for a week. So, save your money and buy fresh flowers that will last twice as long at Publix.

Someone work-related just had surgery. So a bunch of us got together and put up $ 90 for a bouquet to be delivered close by. I was told by our AA that we’ve ordered from In Bloom before. But when I looked on their site, the price seemed a little on the high side given what the pictures and descriptions suggest(think 1 – 800 flowers, with whom I had a pretty bad experience last year). The«Stunning Beauty», at $ 70, looked and sounded quite ordinary: 23″ x 24″, «This elegant vased arrangement will catch their eye with its array of red roses, pink lilies, purple irises, purple aster and more.». I’ll try to post the picture. Still, I thought, it’s convenient, and maybe it’s not that out-of-whack, since the description implied that delivery is included, because it said, The above prices are for Central Florida deliveries. Price will be increased by $ 10 for deliveries outside of Central Florida and will be reflected during checkout. As it turned out, it wasn’t, which took them down a half star at least for misleading us. We had to back off the $ 80 upgraded one to go with basic, since with a $ 5 mylar balloon and $ 11 delivery, we’re already over $ 90. So how was it? The answer is, I don’t know. You see: I figured that since we were dropping $ 90, I called and asked if they could take a picture and email it to us so that we could see what we paid for — and, I’d promised, so that I can brag about their handiwork on Unilocal. At first, she said«No», at which point, I was going to say, OK, thank you — I’ll find someone who could. But she must have thought better of her answer, because then she said, Hold On! and came back saying that someone has a camera phone, and sure, they’ll send the pic. When the order confirmation came from head office, and still no picture, I wrote back asking about it. The HO person wrote back saying they had trouble sending the first one, but will try again. OK, I said, please copy my personal email address in case there’s trouble with firewall or what not at the work email. Here we are, 3 days later, no pic, no follow-up, no service. The recipient of the flowers in the mean time wrote back saying what a wonderful bouquet, and suggested it was humongous. So am I being harsh with 2 stars? Maybe, maybe not. What businesses have to realize is that they can’t f*&% with customers in this day and age, not since Google, not since Unilocal, because we’ve become as powerful as the Egyptian people. I realize that the picture request is an extra, but the last time I looked, the economy isn’t BOOMING — businesses are and should be hungry. I don’t think a couple of extra clicks on the computer is an unreasonable request. In any case, once you make a promise — FOLLOWTHROUGH! Still, it was going to be 3 stars, giving them the benefit of the doubt on the product, but then I remember: I WARNED them I’m a Unilocaler. I can’t bear to shout«A-OK» when they’ve basically ignored me. Because when they ignored me, they ignored you. So really, it wasn’t me who took them down to 2 stars: it was YOU! How’s THAT for pretzel logic.

Doubling as a florist and home décor store, this small shop is charming and smells nice too. Although the home items are somewhat expensive, they are enjoyable to look at. Family owned and operated since the 1980s, they have expanded and now have multiple locations around the Orlando area. They offer wreaths, vases, and many other decorative pieces for your home that are for sale within the shop. I noticed a small glass square with one fake rose inside that was quite pretty. And even though I could carry it one hand, it was still $ 49.95. They also had ornamental animals and various statuesque items to match your current style. They also do weddings and other special/corporate events that would require or improve with the use of fresh flowers. Their delivery service is extensive. They will wire flowers anywhere in the country and for an extra fee, they will deliver internationally as well.
