Great tasting experience at Williams Selyem. I was so impressed with the highest level of their caring barrels and vines. No wonder they produce great wines.

Pleasantly surprised. My dear friend invited me for wine tasting the weekend before my b’d. Well lite, nice warm and soothing tasting room environment. The tasting room hosts were pleasant, knowledgable and made great selections for our tasting. I did not plan to buy at the first stop just because we had several to attend. WSW is know for their Pinot Noirs, and I purchases a spring release Russian River Valley red. I tasted enuf wine at WSW, that I definitely left slightly tilted. No alarm; I wasn’t driving. :-p

The tasting experience is always spectacular and their Pinot Noir is super delicious and totally worth the value. I love the Westside Road Neighbors, Weir, and their signature WS Estate Pinot, just to name a few. I do get excited whenever I receive the Order Form in the mail, time for new release! :P Love the wine pick-up events that happen twice a year, beautiful property, generous pour of almost all the current release, and friendly staff. At the Wine Pick-Up Event, there are also local merchants present, so we can sample a variety of food(pastry, olive oil tasting, popcorn, sausage, truffles/chocolates) and even cold brew coffee as well. Make sure you sign up and join the WS List to become an Allocation List Member if you have not already done so. This is the only way you get to purchase current and past releases, and schedule a winery tour. :D

It’s ok to come here for the architecture alone. It is magnificent from the inside and outside. If you dig excellent Pinot Noir and want a personalized tasting experience, this is definitely your place too. I’ve been here twice now, and I definitely liked my first experience better with the amazing Sari. My friends and I had a good time during my second visit, but the person touring us was a little dry and boring. Another reviewer commented about this being the only place where she loved the unoaked chard, and I totally agree! Normally I love all the tropical and toast flavors in oaked chard, but this is beautiful and full of body in its own way. It’s also one of the cheapest selections at $ 39. Or you can pay $ 60 for the same wine at Oakville Grocery. No thanks. It’s worth it to be on the list just for that. I got sucked into buying one of their most expensive bottles too after trying the 2013 vintage in the barrel and the 2012 vintage at our tasting. Sari instructed us to give the barrel sample lots of time to aerate, and it was devine. I’m really hoping they can start shipping to AZ soon once SB1381 passes. Write your representative!

Calling all pinot noir lovers, this place is an absolute must for you! First off, this property is only open to list members, so drop everything you’re doing right now and sign up to be on their distribution list! It is free to join but you will get booted from the list if you got more than a couple of allocations without purchase. Now that the above is taken care of, what are you waiting for? Go visit! They have a beautiful property with an open seated tasting room. The staff are incredibly friendly, educational, and passionate about what they do. I saw glints of pride in their eyes. Fun fact: Williams Selyem is one of the few vineyards where it is actually cheaper to buy direct from them. You will not find their wines for less through distributors as the cost they charge them is the same as what you and I would pay. More incentive to join their distribution list!

Took a couple friends from NYC on a wine tour in the Healdsburg area primarily. Since I’m an allotment member, we stopped by William Selyem Winery for a private tasting. It was the highlight of our little 3 day tour(which included the very best of the best). Katie absolutely ROCKS!!! She is poised and professional and really knows her stuff. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and I have renewed respect for this winery. It is a first class operation. If you get the opportunity to do a tasting here, don’t pass it up.

Went with my boyfriend’s family for a wine tasting and pick-up. If you have the opportunity to be invited with someone that is a member of Williams Selyem, do it! It has a couple of tents outside and I believe I tasted over 15 different types of wine, and there were different pastries, cheese plates and coffee tastings scattered in both tents. Also, the facility is beautiful, up to date and clean. Not enough restrooms to accommodate large events. I believe I counted only 2 women’s and men’s restroom(one person per restroom).

One our favorite wineries. Their wines are truly magical. Need to be on their mailing list to make an appointment for tasting. It’s worth it! Our experience this time exceeded our expectations thanks to Sari. She is not only exceptionally knowledgeable about their wine, wine making, history of the property and brand, she is also incredibly passionate about the wine. Our tasting experience was very personal, especially how Sari took such great care our the adults and our 9 year old daughter. Great wine, great tasting and tour experience, beautiful property and a fabulous hostess!!! We will be back!!!

An absolutely beautiful facility with some of the greatest pinots I’ve ever had! You must be on their list or know someone who is on their list in order to make reservations for a tasting, but it is a very unique tasting experience. Greg was our host and took us through a couple wines before taking us on a tour of the estate. Once we returned to the tasting room we went through the last couple wines on the list and even got to try a couple other wines he had open including a zin and a mild dessert wine. They are pricey, but they are also delicious! My favorites were the Unoaked Chardonnay and the Calegari.

This was an amazing tasting experience unlike any other that I have ever had. You need to be an active customer on the mailing list and set up an appointment to visit but if you do — you will love the personalized service and incredibly beautiful tasting room and vineyard.

All you need is a gondola just like Sterling Winery… They took the rustic scenery out of Westside Road and made it Hwy 29 in Napa. There is a whole lot of high priced wine there but just down the street you can find some great wine for half the price and half the attitude as well. Love W&S wines back in the old days before the New Yorker took it over. Burt and Ed made the name and the recipe for a fair price… Then sold, now look at the place .who paid for it we did with a 20 year increase price from a $ 40. btl to now $ 100. over rated over oaked and priced. Wine for the 1%

This place is stunning! The staff is friendly, absolutely loves Trasi and Greg. To book a tasting you have to sign up for their newsletter and wait a couple of weeks, get a recommendation from a member, be a member, or be industry. This is one of the first wineries where I really liked the unoaked Chardonnay — it had a much creamier texture than most unoaked Chardonnays. But for $ 37, it sets the tone that this place is crazy expensive. I enjoyed their oaked Chardonnay, but it was a little overly coconut-y. Their two Pinots on the flight were also tasty, but I’m not sure for $ 85 and $ 90 a bottle. Being a club member gives you only access to buying the wine(I believe the winery is the only place where you can get it and they sell out every year) and their two member parties a year, there’s no price break. If I had that kind of money I would’ve become a member, but since I don’t, I’ll enjoy the wines through a tasting flight only. Also included an awesome and informative tour of the winery. Worth going to!

Beautiful tour of the place and even met the owner Mr. Dyson, who is such a nice guy! The 2010 Reserve Burt Williams Cuve I opened was delicious, as were all of the other wines we tried that day. They may not be the most popular anymore, but they are still making quality wines that are much better than KB. Yeah that’s right, I said it ;-)

I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. Yeah, the wines are good, but there’s good wines on every corner in this neighborhood. Pinots? Got them everywhere! Williams Selyem has 25 Pinots? Well Siduri has 28, and they’re happy to see me. I know its just their marketing strategy, but I don’t like having to beg for an appointment two weeks in advance, and then drive right by the entrance because they’re too elitist to have a sign outside. The locked gate isn’t beckoning either. If exclusive, high-end, snobby, pretentious and sterile fit your description, then this is the place for you!

Amazing! I love the wines and the pick up parties are always fun. Also, the tasting room appointment is really a treat as well. Williams Selyem Pinots are among the best and we are discovering that their Chardonnays are quite fantastic as well. The only thing I would like to see at the facility is a changing table. We called to see if we could bring our 5month baby along and they said it was just fine. Wish they had told us there was no changing table in the restrooms.

Williams-Seylem makes perfect pinots that are perfect for a celebration, anniversary, out of town visitors, birthday, and AWESOME presents! ;D They are a bit expensive, $ 50/bottle which is why they’re more for special occasions. Their pinots come from the Sonoma Coast, Russian River and some others — but their best is the Sonoma Coast, year after year! They also make a good Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Rose even though they’re not the star quarterbacks(Chard 2011 is delicious!) Their wine tasting is personable(you make an appointment with them), and it’s just one of their representatives and your party. Also, the facility is beautiful since it was just built a few years ago. Also, everything is very sustainable(wall of rocks outside is made from their pavement!). Joining a wine tasting here also entitles you to get on their mailing list, which otherwise would put you on a waiting list to get on. The mailing list comes out probably 2 times a year. The great thing about this mailing list is that it’s non-obligatory, so you don’t have to order the wines(unlike a wine club). If you do order the wines, you get to attend their Pick-up Party(twice a year) that happens around April and October. Free wine tastings, and third party booths are there too, like coffee, chocolate, cheese, breads, and olive oil stands that are locally produced. I love Williams Seylem!
