This is one of my favorite places to go when I’m in Sonoma county! The prices are very affordable and I always end up with a few bottles to take home. The risqué is a party favorite!

Tasty Pinot Nior, especially if you don’t like the super jammy pinots typical of Sonoma.

One of my top favorite wineries. Chardonnay with delicate fruit, bold merlot and luscious Pinot noire!

Loved the testing at Toad Hollow. Workers were friendly and very helpful. One of the best values in Healdsburg, lots of great wines under $ 30

Girls were not as inviting as any tasting room in the square. They were very short and showed no interest in explaining any history in details of winery.

I have heard the name of Toad Hollow so many times, but for some reason never made my way over there. After wandering by the other day while waiting for the man to get off work, we were pleasantly surprised with the selection(and price) of this cute little tasting room! We started with whites, which I’m never the biggest fan of, but always try. Loved their sparkling as well as their rose. The rise was dry and not too sweet — and a steal at $ 13! I also loved almost all their reds — I had a hard time taking small sips they were all so great! Not only were the wines great, but the staff was so nice and easy to talk to. There were two ladies working while we were there and had a lot of information about the wine itself, as well as just chatting about life in general, which I love! The second I left the tasting room, I text my fiancé telling him we had to join this place! Can’t wait for him to try it and to become their newest members :)

We are wine club members here and love stopping in to taste. Our favorites are the risqué champagne, the merlot and the Erik’s the Red blend. The staff are all very friendly and there is some great art to look at in the tasting room as well.

We have stopped in twice. The first visit earned us better service. Unfortunately, the wine was no better. Perhaps their wines do not meet my tastes. In any event, we only found one wine to even consider buying.

We really liked toad hollow. The wines were excellent and affordable. The labels were really cute. The location is convenient if staying in Healdsburg.

A super quaint wine tasting room in the heart of Healdsburg. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by the gal who was pouring behind the counter. She was very friendly and attentive to everyone that was there. This wine tasting room is quite adorable. They have really embraced the Toad theme and have very cool wine labels, artwork and merchandise for sale. I did a tasting, and was really surprised to see such a low price point for their wine. A lot of their wine sells for $ 11 a bottle on up. Pretty refreshing for my wallet! I enjoyed their Sparkling Wine and their Dry Rose.

Just stopped by Toad Hollow’s tasting room based on the Unilocal reviews. A major change started as of June 1st: they now charge $ 8 for a tasting, but if you purchase a bottle there is no charge. Since the main reason I stopped by to purchase a bottle of their great Chardonnay, the tasting was ‘free’ for me. Love the ‘no pressure/fun’ vibe of the place, and will be back next time I’m in the Healdsburg area.

3.5 Toad Hollow is a little comedic. If the labels don’t make you chuckle, I don’t know what will. I had sampled their RISQUE at a luncheon a while back, and enjoyed it. I grabbed: 2012 Erik’s the Red California Proprietary Red Wine $ 12 NV Risqué French Sparkling Wine $ 16 Nothing super complicated or super complex about these wines. They are good and make fun gifts. The tasting room is filled with toad artwork and your bound to have a good time meeting people in the spacious tasting room. They offer bread sticks to go with your wine, and interesting patrons for your entertainment. I think i even heard someone say«I buy her RISQUE, I know it’s going to be a good night.» Sure dude, whatever floats your boat.

As many other Unilocalers proudly declare, Toad Hollow makes quaffable, unpretentious wine at a reasonable price. I really enjoy the sparkling wine. Especially when it goes on sale at my local supermarket for just under $ 10. A secret guilty pleasure wine for us Sonoma county oenophiles.

I’m not gonna lie, I was drawn to Toad Hollow by the fact that their tasting is free. And the graphic of a toad drinking wine on their website. Anyway, we did enjoy our free tasting and the wines we tried here. Really enjoyed the Risqué French Sparkling Wine and left with two bottles of that. Friendly atmosphere and cute toad gear(posters, shirts, etc). Cute place, reasonably priced wines, and great location right in downtown Healdsburg.

I had never been wine tasting before and wasn’t all that interested, but, my sister insisted that I accompany her on this excursion. We visited MANY wineries in Healdsburg, all of which had their own personal charm and atmosphere, but, they all seemed to be very stuck up and made me feel uncomfortable with my lack of wine tasting experience. Thankfully my sister saved the best for last, TOADHOLLOW! The moment we walked in I felt comfortable. Colorful toad posters adorned the walls and friendly casually dressed employees were pouring wine. We found a place at the counter and one of the employees immediately greeted us. He explained everything to me and had great tasting suggestions! While we were tasting a high energy group came in to stand next to us. We all had a great time laughing, tasting, and chatting it up with each other and the employees! I absolutely fell in love the the sparking wine«Risqué». Such a GREAT wine to end my day with! I ended up buying two bottles because it was so good ANDAFFORDABLE! Will definitely me back!

Toad Hollow was the first tasting room we visited in Healdsburg. It was recommended by several folks back home and the name and labels looked vaguely familiar to me, possibly from my trip to Morrow Bay 10 years ago. Back then, my friend and I were 20 years old hanging with a bunch of older professionals and we were simply delighted just to be served. It didn’t occur to us at the time to actually take notes so we’d remember what we liked and which wineries we visited. Shame. But that’s another story! My boyfriend and I were welcomed into Toad Hollow’s bar area by Robert, who could not have been nicer. We tried 8 or so wines which were all very nice, at no charge and with no pressure to buy. Not that it mattered, because the bottle we ended up purchasing cost around ten bucks, which is what we ended up paying for two at another tasting room just to sample. I would highly recommend a visit to Toad Hollow’s tasting room and as a starting point on a wine tour through Healdsburg.

It is pretty tough to beat a delicious glass of wine at an affordable cost. This place serves up ambiance with their lovely story all around and approachable wines. It is centrally located in downtown Healdsburg and tastings are free. Their sparkling wines are inexpensive and simply delightful. The Risqué label is ADORABLE! Love this place!
