Great spot on the eastside of things in Healdsburg. Complimentary tastings if you’re a member of a Wilson winery. Really interesting building and tasting room. Tasty wines. worth a stop.

My now husband and I got married at Soda Rock in April 2016. We could not say better things about the venue, the wine, and all the wonderful people who work there. Soda Rock made our wedding weekend the best of our lives. We knew we wanted to get married at Soda Rock immediately after going on a short tour with the events manager. The venue is beautiful and offers so many great options all in one place. We were happy to be able to do all of our major wedding day activities all at one venue — ceremony(outside, facing vineyard), cocktail hour(barn/outside barn) and reception/dinner(ballroom w/bar in tasting room). Each location onsite is beautiful and different — which made a big different for our simple wedding without many decorations/tiny details — we didn’t need any! Also, I loved their onsite accommodations — so perfect for staying there the night before with my bridesmaids, getting ready before the wedding, and with my husband for a couple days after. Isabelle and Sarah were wonderful to work throughout the whole experience. Sarah answered all 500 of our random, one-off questions. She really helped us all along the way to help make our day the best. I was impressed with her keeping everyone on track for our rehearsal ceremony. And on day of… I literally do not know what we would have done without her! She did an amazing job making sure everything moved along smoothly, keeping our parents and bridal/grooms party in check, and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. Soda Rock is an excellent choice for Healdsburg(which itself was a great choice for all of our out of town guests).

Lovely location, but the service was get then lovely. They treat young wine tasters like they’re far below par and not worth giving attention to. Even though we often purchase wine, we are polite, and dressed appropriately, we still were ignored and not given the time of day. In the words of Pretty Woman«you work on commission right? Big mistake… Huge!»
I love this place. The site is beautiful and the wine is so good.

Disclosure: this was winery #5 or #6…can’t remember…**hiccup** Wine was good… but then again after 3 wineries everything starts to taste«good»…**hiccup** Lovely grounds and friendly service… except for one lady who immediately knew we were just middle class drunks and not rich yuppy wine snobs…**hiccup**…she was absolutely right, so I’m not gonna hold that against Soda Rock. **hiccup**

My fiancé, sister, and I just left Soda Rock. I will be honest, I wasn’t anticipating enjoying it as much as I did. The venue is beautiful, but is not the reason we joined their wine club. Besides the great wine, our tasting room attendant, Sage, was awesome. She was was extremely knowledgable about the wine and what their wine club had to offer. I am beyond excited to go back and experience everything else the winery has to offer :)

Had a great time tasting here yesterday! The wine was delicious, the service was top notch, and the grounds were stunning. We ended up getting a few bottles of wine and opening one to go with our picnic in their grounds. Amazing experience!

We had the most amazing wedding at Soda Rock Winery in October and couldn’t have been happier! It was the first venue we visited in our quest to find the perfect place and we could envision the big day as we stood there taking in the gorgeous barn, vineyard and winery. Everyone at Soda Rock made the wedding planning process so fun and easy. Every time we visited, we felt like family. They knew our names and when we were getting married and wanted to help plan all the details. Sarah was such a dream to work with and I am beyond grateful for how sweet, helpful and responsive she was. We held the ceremony in the barn with the back door open so you could see the vineyard and the way the light shined between the wooden slats was so pretty and romantic. We had cocktail hour next to the barn and then dinner outside in front of the winery(with the delish new Sauv Blanc!) which made it so special for our out of town guests. It was the most ridiculously happy day and I can’t picture our wedding anywhere else. I’m so excited for any couple getting married here… they will have the most magical and memorable day!

Wine club members met at parking lot told not to serve us. They did not like our wigs! We have loved Wilson, but soda rock’s managers are rude! She should be fired! We have come to this event 10 years, never have been treated so rudely!

Soda Rock is another winery in our favorite appellation in Sonoma County and it didn’t disappoint at all. Very good wines and service. It’s one of those wineries that when you return to the Alexander Valley, you’re stopping in to pick up one of your favorites. We will most likely make this a winery to stop in again. Definitely a great stop if you’re doing Calistoga to Geyserville on the 128 hwy.

Stopped in for a tasting on a quiet Monday morning. Good thing we hadn’t stopped over the weekend as they had two weddings and the club pickup party. So we had a nice quiet tasting. The tasting flight was 5 wines(but we skipped the white), a merlot, cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon, and a zinfandel. As a bonus pour we tried the double gold 2013 Zinfandel, Marshal. The tasting is a real bargain these days at only $ 5. The wines were good, which you would expect from one of the Wilson wineries. For me, the cab franc was the star of the show and it was only a gold medal winner. I hadn’t had one this good since the visit to Niagara by the Lake region. Since it fairly hard to ship Canadian wine to the States, this makes for an easy substitute.

I held my wedding at Soda Rock in June 2015. My entire experience was beyond my expectations in every way possible. Sarah and Isabella were wonderful to work with. I met with Isabelle a number of times but worked with Sarah on the fine details. By the time my wedding day rolled around, I wanted to stick her in a bridesmaid dress! She was so nice and helpful throughout the entire process. The venue is beautiful and can be completely«customized» to fit your vision. We had access to everything on the property including outdoor and indoor space and all of their décor which we were able to move throughout the entire property. We also booked 3 out of 4 rooms for the weekend. My bridesmaids and myself got ready in the Barn Suite while the groomsmen got ready in the Vineyard Suite next door. Being able to stay on the property was amazing. It made getting ready so much less stressful because travel didn’t need to be factored in. Overall, I had such an amazing experience at Soda Rock. I would recommend it to anyone I know.

Came to Soda Rock for the first time as a wedding guest. I thought that it was such a beautiful location. I was really excited to see the winery because I do love my Alexander Valley wines! It was such a great experience-the ceremony was outside with a view of the vineyards. the reception started with appetizers and drinks in the barn. I loved that it still has funkiness and a barn vibe to it. It hasn’t been over remodeled to look current and new. Dinner was in front of the tasting room on the patio with a beautiful water feature and beautiful view of the water tower and tasting room. Then dancing and cake was inside the building behind the tasting room. I thought they did such a great job, all of the staff was fantastic. Oh and there was wine too. I thought the Cab was fantastic! I can’t wait to go back and taste their whole library of wines.

Large, nice looking tasting room. Each wine was really good quality and decently priced. Part of the Wilson family wineries, so we got a free tasting since we were staying at the Grape Leaf Inn.

Soda Rock was the first stop on my winery tour of Healdsburg and it was an amazing start. First of all, Grace was the best hosts we had at ANY tasting room in Healdsburg. She taught me so much about wine, and it really enhanced the rest of my visits to other wineries. The wine itself was pretty delicious. They have a great variety and all of them are definitely worth tasting. Overall, AMAZING service and great wine. If you are in Healdsburg, visit Soda Rock. Look out for Grace!

I have been to this winery twice, both during the Taste Alexander Valley weekends. It was a great time to visit because the winery had a party like atmosphere with complimentary snacks, barrel tastings and themed decorations in addition to the usual wine tastings. I consider their cabernet franc to be their star wine. My husband never thought that grape could stand out on its own until trying their bottling paired with some chocolate covered bacon. He fell in love, and we’ve since bought a couple more bottles. They also make a great sauvignon blanc. Soda Rock was the last winery of the day during our trip so I was a little worried the wine wouldn’t be as good as I remembered. My worries were unfounded, of course. Their sauvignon blanc has some great tropical flavors that are pretty different than the New Zealand SBs. I’m looking forward to returning, hopefully as an overnight guest at one of their suites.

Ashley and Isabelle … The Events ladies– are amazing! We had our wedding here a few weeks ago, and it was wonderful! We worked with Isabelle in the beginning leading up to the big day and then rehearsal and day of Ashley was WONDERFUL with keeping on top of all the details and ensuring everything went smoothly. Thank you so much to the soda rock team for making our day special! PS– we stayed in the«Artist Den» to get ready before the wedding and then were able to enjoy it for the weekend and it’s a wonderful little getaway if you’re looking for something nice and quiet and romantic! :)

Gorgeous winery w/quality wine. Estate was clean and spacious. Came back for a wedding and it was fun but on a summer day in July, the reception area was just way too hot to comfortably enjoy ourselves. Seriously needed ceiling fans.

I definitely recommend stopping in at Soda Rock if you are wine tasting in Alexander Valley. The tasting room is housed in a beautiful old building. The bar is long and sleek with plenty of chairs for tasters. Outside is a great little patio with lots of tables and a view of the surrounding vineyards. The tasting fee is $ 5 which is waived if you make a wine purchase. With the wine they serve pita chips. It is amazing how fantastic a pita chip tastes after your second or third winery. All of the wines we tasted here were very good, but the Sauvignon Blanc is a must try. I’m not even a big white wine person, but this one is outstanding. All of the employees here are super friendly. We had lots of great conversation with them about their wine and what types of food you would serve each with. A generally pleasant winery stop!
