Stayed in their cottage on the property for Memorial Day weekend 2015. Gorgeous view of the vineyards, beautiful setting, spacious, modern and comfortable cottage(perfect for a couple’s getaway), and secluded but easy access to Dry Creek Road to get to Healdsburg and explore the area. The owners were welcoming without being overly meddlesome and the complimentary tasting was such a nice touch. My only wish was a slightly more oversized and comfortable sofa for lounging after a «long» day of wine tasting but that’s hardly a justifiable complaint. :) Thanks Kachina!

Very friendly couple. The Charbono is delicious, I’ve never even heard of that variety before! The port is exquisite, try it with the port truffles.

During our recent trip to Sonoma, we were really looking for intimate tasting experiences at smaller wineries – places where we felt we could really get to know the winemakers, estate, processes, and wines on a personal level. I found Kachina after some online searches(and it was actually suggested by another winemaker), so on our second day we drove up and made a tasting reservation for the next morning. The next day we got EXACTLY what we were looking for: a one-on-one tasting with the winemaker himself in their beautiful indoor tasting room surrounded by wine resting in barrels. Greg was so accommodating, so friendly, and so passionate about what he does. It was a wonderful experience on a beautiful property.(They also have a guest house you can rent!) I strongly recommend a visit to Kachina if you’re in Sonoma. So after all of this, you might wonder why 4⁄5 rather than 5⁄5. Only because the wines themselves didn’t resonate with me, personally. Though I did purchase a beautiful Zinfandel Port, however, as it’s the only port I’ve had that I genuinely enjoyed.

On a recent trip to CA, caught this winery at the end of a day as it was open a bit later than the other wineries in the area. The hosts were terrific and the settings was absolutely beautiful. It is one of my new favorite spots in Sonoma.

We visited Kachina during Passport weekend and were very pleasantly surprised. I love the location of the property, tucked away from the autobahn that is Dry Creek Road on the weekends. The Zin and Chardonnay were my favorite. We will definitely return for another tasting soon. Beautiful property, nice people, good wine. The trifecta of wine tasting — hence the 5 stars.

Just got back from an amazing wedding in Napa and Honeymoon in Sonoma at the Farm House. To start off this was my favorite winery we went to. We scheduled a Tuscan lunch with great cheeses, meats, nuts, olives(so good) and of course GREAT wine. Nancy & Greg Chambers the owners serve you lunch on their eco-friendly property. It was recommended by our driver Melyna Huff with Wine Me Away. Don’t miss this place. Reserve early. We were there with a mother group so very private and so relaxing I didn’t want to leave. We came home with some great wine and better memories. HIGHLY recommend.

Kachina is a hidden gem and my husband and I were very lucky to have experienced it! Greg & Nancy were so sweet & the property is beautiful. We had the best Tuscan Lunch with wine pairings, served by Nancy ;) We did not want to leave and will definitely be back with friends. I highly recommend Kachina to anyone that wants to enjoy a beautiful lunch with gorgeous views and yummy wine!

My boyfriend, Sean and I celebrated a good friend’s birthday, Jeff and his wife, Charlene last Saturday. I became a full circle member at Kachina a few months ago on our first visit. the wines are wonderful. the Rose‘ was wonderful that I bought several bottles. and so is the Charbono. I wish I could post a picture of the four of us at Kachina having a wonderful time… they made us feel so special. being a member has it’s perks. The owner’s Nancy and Greg set up yummy goodies for us to nosh on while we tasted the wonderful wines and learned more about the history of Kachina. Our friends loved Kachina and it made for a perfect start for Jeff’s birthday celebration! We are so looking forward to staying in the cottage for our next visit… What great people Nancy and Greg are. so down to earth. love the wine too! Can’t wait to visit them again and visit the goats too! Now are friends are signing up too!

I only wish that I could give this place 6 stars or more, that’s how much I think of Kachina. My colleague’s brother is one of the owners and never have I been to a more intimate, peaceful, and really special tasting. Owners Nancy and Greg have put their heart and soul into this vineyard and can tell you anything and everything about the process from vine to bottle, since they do much of the work themselves. Not only do I love the wine and the people at Kachina but I love their philosophy as well — they are proud of being ‘green’ and off the grid and have made a significant investment in clean energy and being pesticide free. The grounds are beautiful and built to resemble a Tuscan villa and I must say that if you close your eyes while you’re out on the patio sipping their Cabernet Sauvignon, you feel like you’re miles away from civilization. I definitely recommend the Tuscan lunch fare — Nancy is a fantastic cook and all of their ingredients are sourced locally and you can really taste the difference in both the food they serve and in their wines. They make an excellent port and I love the other wines as well. I’ve done tastings in Sonoma, South Africa, and Kachina is by far one of my favorite vineyards in the world. Go visit Nancy and Greg for a truly unique tasting experience. Trust me — you’ll be glad you did!

Of all my visits to Sonoma area, this may be my new favorite! This is like finding a treasure, with it hidden location, private tasting — oh and champagne! Make an appointment and enjoy the patio, great wines and incredibly friendly and warm service! Nancy and Greg are one of kind hosts — the group of friends I took here, most of which live in Sonoma, could not stop talking about Kachina! We took home lots of wine and great memories. Don’t forget to visit their goats!

I came for a visit during Passport Weekend and I was really impressed by this place! They are completely«off the grid» and have absolutely beautiful grounds. Nancy and Greg came out and spoke to us about the wine and answered all of our questions about the wine club. They truly were some of the most warm and friendly winemakers I had the pleasure of meeting all weekend. I recently recieved my first wine club shipment and can’t wait to open a bottle! If you are in Dry Creek Valley and looking for a gem of a winery to visit, do NOT miss Kachina.

A beautiful winery tucked off the highway enough to give you a sense of tranquil. Drive by the single ‘cottage’ that can be rented and you enter the winery. Greg, the owner was extremely nice and told us that the winery is 100% solar powered and only about 2 yrs old, yet the ’07 Cab was drinking deliciously and the ’06 Port is worth a return trip by itself! He snuck a taste of the ’09 Charbono while explaining what it is but I will probably need to Google to refresh the memory. I think tastings are appt only on most weekends.

Want to feel like you’re among friends? This is the place! All questions answered without making you feel dumb. We went for barrel tasting today and felt so welcome. The wines were great — the port was outstanding! No pressure just a couple who make wonderful wines and are proud to share it with you. We’ll be back with friends!

They make Bonarda. Who else does that??? It’s so good that it can hold its own against any bottling from Argentina. If you are looking for a boutique winery, let Nancy and Greg show you the way.

Tucked deep off Dry Creek Road lies perhaps the most beautiful little winery in Sonoma County. A husband and wife team who make their Chard and Cab. A must stop for you if you are looking for a special wine. And an unforgettable time. They only take one customer at a time. If you’re looking for a tasting room bar where you can hang out and just show up this isn’t it. But if you want to hang out for a little while and sample your way through some great Cab. Did I mention the Zin Port? Try that one with a St. George Cheese if you dare! You’ll be picking up a half case or more. Truly an exceptional experience.

Wow. How can it get any better than this? The property is beautiful, and neighboring Gallo vines creates a breathtaking view and secluded feeling that is very unique. I personally love their Zin which is not like most other Zins. But they also have a great Cab, a Chard, and a Port. All the people I’ve taken here have been drawn to at least one of their wines, and have left happy, and with plans to invite their own friends. The wine makers, Greg and Nancy, are both very accommodating, helpful, and knowledgeable. I especially love that they have built their winery around a «family business» attitude. When we went during passport 2010, I just loved that I could meet the sister and brother-in-law, nieces, friends of the family. All the help was volunteer, and it really created a unique experience that is lacking in a lot of today’s wine industry. Bonus: the winery is 100% green and powered by solar! You need to make an appointment to taste, but it’s not just worth it, it’s extremely easy! The wine makers mentioned this was because it is just the two of them running it, and they can’t keep the tasting room staffed at all times. So, all in all, five stars! Make sure to stop by, next time you’re in the dry creek valley! It’s worth it.

What a beautiful quaint start up vineyard and winery that is full of potential and charm. The property is lined with beautiful old growth Coast Live Oaks on rolling hills. A new, not competed guest house awaits potential to thrill guests to a quite get away. The hosts were very friendly and eager to show their wine. Although the region is not known for their Chardonnay, this was the stand out product during our tasting. Crisp, dry not overly buttery, I think it would go especially well with my fresh caught yellowtail! I can’t wait to go back!
