As a home cook, I never thought about getting my knives sharpened until I was referred to these guys by a friend. To be honest I thought I could just use the home sharpeners that most knife sets come with(not that I have any idea how to use one). I have had my knives almost since college, and when I took them to John he showed me how warped they were. No wonder cutting anything was a pain! I dropped my few knives off and picked them up a few days later. Easy peasy. It’s like I bought an entire new set, and now I can make knives I considered donating to Goodwill work for years to come. I was specifically told *not* to try to cut a can in half, no matter how cool it looked on TV.
