Beautiful grounds and friendly staff but that’s it. $ 16 dollars will get you a flight of terrible wine. Seriously. Terrible. The only wine I found to be half way decent will only set you back $ 47 a bottle… ludicrous(note: I did not buy it). This place would be incredibly ideal for a date or relaxing afternoon… as long as you don’t drink the wine. If you must visit, just do yourself a favor and buy a beer and enjoy the picturesque scenery.

I recently attended an engagement party at Harmony Vineyards and could not be more impressed with the establishment. The wine is delicious, the service is impeccable and friendly, and the property and tasting room are both magnificent and charming. I see some reviews on here knocking the wine, but I’m a bit of a wine enthusiast(some might say snob) who usually sticks to Bordeaux and Willamette Valley Pinot, and I thoroughly enjoyed each of the three vintages I tasted at Harmony. Plus it’s great that all of the proceeds go to charity. I will absolutely be back again soon. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

I had a wonderful afternoon at Harmony Vineyards a few weekends ago. I went with my mom and aunt. We were looking for vineyards that weren’t as far out east as the north folk and we weren’t quite sure where to go. We actually found Harmony Vineyards on Unilocal and it looked lovely and had great reviews! When we arrived there was live music playing on the back porch. My mom went with the wine tasting where she had samples of 3 different types of reds and my aunt and I shared a bottle of white. We also got a cheese platter and a guac platter. It came to about $ 120 for everything. It was a bit on the pricey side, but we knew it would be. It was well worth it and we had a wonderful time.

Super relaxing space here! I loved the live music accompaniment to our wine flight. The wine itself… I think that there are probably better wineries elsewhere, let’s just say.

My friends and I came here because an «art» show was being advertised and I was looking forward to seeing various types of art from well skilled artists. I am an artist myself and I don’t want to seem unsupportive to my own kind, but the work was mediocre, uninspiring, and amateurish at best. It wasn’t even an art show, but more like a craft show with soaps and jewelry. The stand out was a woman that sold stained glass for charity. However she went on about all the profits went to families in Kenya, and I tried to get 10 dollars off a fifty dollar piece and she refused. It was so hypocritical after she claimed it was not about the money. Someone that wants to donate to charity would not turn down a sale, period, and I was not low balling her-the piece was small and overpriced. She said she paid that in materials alone, but I have purchased the same glass and it was not as pricey as she claims. The people that ran the art show were very nice, just need a higher caliber of work. In addition, the vineyard is very peaceful and beautiful but the wine is probably the WORST I have ever tasted on Long Island. It was so sour, lacked depth-it was just plain disgusting. And it was 16 dollars for a flight of three. I just sense that the owners are jacking up prices because they can. It’s one thing if the wine was good but to pay that amount for awful wine when I can get better wine and more per flight is ridiculous. I don’t ever understand places that serve people food or wine that don’t seem to have a clue as to what they are putting out. Maybe they don’t care or just have poor taste. Oh and the worst part is that the valet checks your bags to make sure that you don’t bring your own water because they sell bottles and want to make an extra 2 bucks. What a bitch move that indicates greed and desperation. No winery I have ever been to does that. It’s like water is contraband there. Meanwhile next to us a group had a cooler with outside food and drinks and no one said anything to them. The only thing that stood out was a very nice waiter and the service workers were very personable. I would have no reason to go back since there are wineries on the north fork that are much better and ALLOWYOUTOBRINGWATER.

Spent this past weekend here with a group of friends and loved it! Perfect location for summer get togethers if you’re looking to enjoy live music, great wine and awesome views. Loved their red blends and looking forward to trying the white! I also thought it was pretty cool and unique that most of the items throughout the main house on display are from local artists and the musicians are also local, great way to showcase the talent in the community.

Awesome place. Great outdoor seating and view. I really enjoyed the 2010 red and the chick pea wraps are really good. Will be back!

This hidden gem penetrated all my weak spots. Great wine, cheese, free wifi, live music, and well manicured property coupled with a water view. Overly qualified for anyone who’s looking for a relaxing yet memorable time with family and friends. Calling this place classy is an understatement. I give this one the«Matt Flamman stamp of approval» which shared in very limited engagements.

Not a fan. Wine was just OK. Cheese plate seemed to be packaged store bought cheese and salami thrown together a week earlier on a plastic plate. The atmosphere was very nice, but not worth a second trip.

A bucolic setting with live music and idle chatter. I sipped a fine chilled vintage poland spring water while strolling through the early spring budding vines. This was an unexpected find so far east of wine country, I cannot wait to return to sample their wines!

Excellent hometown vineyard! To start, this vineyard is simply beautiful! Right on the border of historic stony brook, head of the harbor and a stones throw from quaint saint James & Nissequogue. A great water view from the back side of the property and fairytale woods all around the remainder. I was here during the winter weather so we were inside the whole time. I came here one night for a Rocky Horror Picture Show trivia & costume party night– how cool, right?! It was a seriously fun night! The staff there is so sweet and interactive and the wine was great! I ordered a glass of Merlot and they had a great selection but I told the bar tender to surprise and I was so happy with her selection. I came dressed up and so did a few other people and there were some small bites for us to enjoy. I ended up winning the costume contest and my prize was a free tasting! I follow Harmony Vineyards on Instagram and they post great videos of their jazz night which I have yet to attend but plan on checking it out very soon! I am very excited to come back for a tasting soon as well. I would certainly recommend checking this place out for a relaxing & fun outing!

We wanted to go to the North Fork to spend the day wine tasting, and discovered a waterfront vineyard only one hour from New York City. What an amazing place! The tasting room and property is absolutely beautiful. Their Bordeaux style red blends are outstanding, the best I have ever had from Long Island. My boyfriend had the Chardonnay and was delighted as well. The vineyards terrace is gorgeous, serene, enchanting, and looks over the vines at Stony Brook harbor. We loved how cozy the tasting room was with multiple fireplaces and great music. We were told there was live music year round. There is a new art show each month in their gallery and we were particularly intrigued by the current artist, Jasna Boudard. I totally recommend this hidden gem. I will definitely come back and bring more friends.

I had high hopes for this place considering the beautiful location and building, unfortunately, those are the only two pluses. Quite honestly, this is the worst wine I have had on the island. The whites are near undrinkable and not at all reasonably priced considering the poor quality. The inside of the house was such a let down considering the beautiful exterior. Who decided on the horribly tacky artwork and odd knick knacks everywhere? The worn couches, chairs, and carpet would look more at home in a frat house than a winery. There are odd holes in the floors and baseboards, Styrofoam covering what used to be a dumb waiter, and the most awful, tacky, and horribly uncomfortable chair and table sets in the«jazz club» room. Who wants to watch live music if you can’t sit in the chairs for more than 30 seconds? The staff were pleasant, but I agree with other reviewers that they sound as though reading from a script. The ONLY reason to come here is the outside seating area in the back overlooking the vineyard. Do yourself a favor and order one of the Blue Point beers though because the wine is truly terrible.

We love how close proximity to New York City this Vineyard is. The wines were just great. The tasting rooms had a few small rooms you can go sit, drink and relax. Interesting displays of several art pieces. Outside in the back of the Vineyard, you can lay out and picnic. The vineyard is hidden deep in the woods and just really nice place to relax have a glass of wine have some cheese get together with some friends and catch up. Luckily GPS was working to get there getting out was a Nother story Google GPS wasn’t working lol I felt that we were very fortunate to find this place on the last weekend of summer in HOT September. I’ll be coming back next summer!

Very beautiful grounds and tasting room. Very nice that there is a vineyard in our area. Friendly staff. Very disappointed in the wines. They were not very good at all. The prices were outrageous for the product they deliver. I don’t recommend buying any of their bottles.

Great scenery and good wine. Harmony vineyards wasn’t the fanciest vineyard on Long Island, but in a positive way, feeling casual but appropriately classy and without being stuffy. Plus it is one of the closest to the city, only about an hour’s drive. The main house and terrace area, with plenty of outdoor seating, overlooks the rows of vines that head toward a view of the nearby bay. We went here wanting to take a break from the city and with the landscaping and surrounding woods they’ve managed to make it feel like you are deeper into the country than you are and very peaceful. My flight of three red wines was great, each wine was very drinkable, and each had diverse and different range of notes. The staff were helpful and accurate in describing the wines, and the cheese plate, served with some meat, cornichons, dried apricots, and crackers, was good, if not a little pricey for what it was. It was pre-packaged which actually made it easier to carry as we settled away from the terrace, on the opposite end of the vines, with folding chairs we had brought, picnic blankets would have worked also with ample green space towards the bay. Other people had brought their own food or picnics, so if you want more than a cheese plate you have options. The only real negative was that they only had one white wine to try when we visited. But otherwise made a great day trip and afterwards got some delicious Italian Cream Ice nearby at Ralph’s before heading home.

Is it a hang out for college kids? Is it a movie/nightclub? College kids were the bartenders, you can tell by the way the spew out their script of the different wines. A college guy hanging out in the parking lot shouting at us from far away, «There’s the front door to the tasting room!» He then sped off in his red sports car. The tasting was $ 16 for 3 samples. Maybe I’ll go again… Open on Thursday and Friday nights, and Sat & Sun. afternoon. You park right in front. I wish they would tell you the history of the building.

We were so excited to have a winery so close to home. The wines are tasty and the vineyard itself is beautiful. One very big drawback is that it is not family friendly. The owner/owner’s wife asked our children who were playing off to the side of the vineyard to move all the way down to the water far far away from both the house and music. One friend felt so uncomfortable she decided to leave with her children. Its too bad because she runs a large 150+ Three Village Mom’s group and was looking forward to promoting the Vineyard to the families. Local families are truly what the Three Village Area is about. Also there is only one tiny bathroom. Which becomes a big problem really quickly when people are being served drinks.

Harmony vineyards is just what you need when it comes to escaping the city for a short day trip. Located on the North Shore in Head of the Harbor, LI it provides a quaint setting and country comforts, which in turn provides a great atmosphere to partake in its fruits of labor, aka wine. The setting and outdoor seating is a plus. The staff is friendly(not pretentious) and so is the resident pet, which happens to be a rooster who thinks he is puppy, but that’s another story. They have an assortment of wines, which include a Red Blend, a Cabernet and a Chardonnay. Overall this was a pleasant experience that I would definitely recommend for a day trip.
