Wonderful county run RV park situated on the Altamara River. About 25 sites with a museum and conference room available for rental. Modern facility, well maintained. RV sites are level, well policed and equipped. No full hookups, local dump and 50amp & water on every site. A good number of sites are shaded and some have satellite view. Campground has fulltime host available for your needs. Personnel friendly and courteous.
Acces to river with boat ramp. Somewhat steep ramp, and fast flowing current. Ramp difficult to use. Not a good place to swim as water is fast moving and deep with treacherous currents, gators. No swimming pool, great fitness area, super horse riding and walking trails. Nearby DNR day use area for pic-​nics on river, although not as well keep as the RV Park. Nearest town is Hazelhurst about ten minutes away.
This park would be a FIVE STAR review if they had a swimming pool.
