Keepin’ independent music stores alive! CD Renunion has been around for as long as I can remember. In fact, it’s been around for so long that it was once called«Record» Reunion. The store opened in 1990, and since then, it has been a great option when looking for used records, CDs, and movies. Tucked away in the basically vacant Village Square Shopping Center, CD Reunion can be somewhat difficult to find. It’s placed on a service road that hides just under where Linbdbergh and I-270 meet. If you’re not knowledgeable of the area, you might not be able to find it. Also, if you’re looking for Top 40, brand new records, CD Reunion really isn’t the place for you. They do carry new albums, but the selection can be oddly scarce and usually a little more expensive than the evil corporate stores. However, I have noticed that the prices on new stuff have lowered over the years, probably just to stay competitive with the Best Buys of the world. The true strength of this store lies solely with the used selection of music and movies. I’m a collector. At this rate, I almost solely work on collections now. CD Reunion is one of the stores in my normal rotation. They don’t always have the«remastered» version, but occasionally I get lucky and find what I’m looking for. The staff has been the same guys for years! They are always there, and depending on the day, I can get into a good conversation. Also, sometimes they get a hold of comped tickets to local shows, so it’s good to make nice with the employees. CD Reunion isn’t my favorite record store, but it’s a very good one. If you’re looking for used, cheaper material, this place might be good for you.
