i was refused service here today 9÷4÷15 because i parked in their«no parking» zone. Funny seeing as they had parking spots in this zone. Very nasty woman with an attitude. You’re honestly going to lose money over something so simple? Smart business right! Looking over these reviews I can see I did not miss anything special.

Have you seen the grease coming off the roof? Disgusting. I’m vegan now and this place did nothing to discourage it. I have zero idea why there is a huge line all the time except for the fact that they’re there, historic enough, and loaded with junk food. The service is always polite though and products are priced appropriately but this place needs a health department inspection. Eww.

It appears this area may have lost it’s favorite spot for frozen treats, because if anyone in this area has had the product that we were served today, I don’t care if you’ve been eating here since you were 2 days old, this is not gonna fly. Going threw my bookmarks today I remembered how gung ho I was a couple summers ago about trying new places for icecream & frozen yogurt. So after dinner we decided to check this place out. We were the only ones in line at 7, and watched 4 people struggle to make our orders as we just sat & watched them fumble around as we took in the scenery. A hose sticking out of the building with water coming out of it as you have to hop over the giant puddle to order at the window. The icecream had a funky sitting in the freezer to long or some kind of cheap preservative taste. My cone had a hole in it, and leaked as they handed me my cone, which was dripping, like it was made & held for 5 minutes before they gave it to me. They messed up both sprinkles on my kid’s cones & the wifes banana split flurry tasted like banana flavored chocolate milk & was not even edible. I know not every place you visit on Unilocal can be a winner but this is unacceptable, hope the owners figure things out soon, no one should have to have a conversation with their kids about why the icecream isn’t good.

It’s ok, I guess, though the ice cream is way too sweet and chemically tasting for me. If you like Dairy Queen, you’ll probably like this.

This place has not heard of truth in advertising I guess. When I see a sign that says the item has Oreos, I expect to get Oreos. Not here though. They use Hydrox. Thays just an example, but if you want the real thing Id suggest you go to the Dairy Queen up the road on 9 mile.

When Margaret was the owner, you saw the same girls making your ice cream on any day you went. That was because she was very picky on how they made ice cream. This made a huge difference after the new owner took over. I’ve given this place five tries. Only two of the five tries, my ice cream was made right. One time, they made a chocolate malt with chocolate ice cream. The other time, they made it with twist. The new girls are just very inconsistent on the ingredients used to make ice cream. If you want good ice cream still around the hazel park area, try treat dreams. It has an indie/hipster feel, but as the taste is concerned it is no comparison.

Ever since the new owner took over it sucks. They take FOREVER! Half the time i order its wrong when i get it. I dont know what they are doing with their hot dogs now but they are nasty and always cold. Good luck when you go

The best place for anything ice cream related. The food is awesome too. Very cheap prices, couldn’t ask for anything better.

Even though it isn’t the closest ice cream shop to me, this is typically my first pick when I’m in the mood for something cold. The service is great and my family has been going here since my grandma was a little girl.

I drive past two different Dairy Queens to get to the Dairy Park. I discovered this place two hot summers ago, and my girlfriend and I are now loyal customers. It’s a walk-up ice cream shack at the edge of a neighborhood in a blue-collar city, and it is the BEST. It’s dirt-cheap, and they have everything you’ve ever had at a chain, plus things you’ve never even heard of. If you order anything with peanut butter in it, I hope you love peanut butter, because you will get something that tastes like a jar of peanut butter with a straw in it. The Rice Krispie Treat shake is stupendous. Everything here is stupendous. Come get something delicious and hang out in the parking lot with a friend.

Simple, easy, and within walking distance of my friends place. Kind of the best option in the area. I come from Northern Troy and go to Erma’s and this place is sub par compared to that. The food is actually all good, which is crazy odd!

super cheap prices. a huge flurry only costs 4 dollars. try that at dairy queen. the ice cream was very tasty. i was tempted to try their rice krispy treat flurry. i think i’ll go back and get one soon. perfect little ice cream place in the middle of a neighborhood. i saw they also have a pretty extensive food menu and nothing cost more than 3 bucks. next door, right by the parking lot, they have huge fake horses in the yard. kinda quirky. i wonder if its the owners house. love, juston.

The only drawback, I see now, are the long lines out front. But that is just testimony to their ice cream. There is a very wide variety of options for toppings and blizzards/flurries. Dairy Queen has nothing on Dairy Park!

Being an HP lifer, I would be doing an injustice if I didn’t put this place up on my list. i’ve been going to the DP since I was probably in 3rd grade… maybe even 2nd! Even though there is also a Dairy Queen in HP, I will drive right past it to come here. A lot of people do that. First of all, they aren’t just ice cream. They have awesome food! The chili cheese fries are the best i’ve ever had, and I love that they come in a hot dog tray in a paper bag. They also have an AWESOME candy selection! And of course, the ice cream. It’s awesome! soft serve, my fave is the twisty cone, chocolate and vanilla dipped in chocolate! Try to get that at DQ! If you are a Unilocaler, and live near by, you should definitely check them out! They are seasonal, and sometimes if you order food, you might have a little wait.

Screw Dairy Queen! I will never go back to the Ferndale DQ now that I’ve found Dairy Park. The prices at Dairy Park are a-mazing. Where else can you get a cone for 50 cents? Granted it’s small, but still… who sells anything for 50 cents anymore? It’s like their prices are stuck in the 70’s. They have sundaes, floats, shakes, malts. Tons of options. They even sell burgers, mushroom poppers, etc. I think these items cost a $ 1. We were brave enough to try them once, and it wasn’t that good. I’d stay away unless you’re super broke or you’ve had a few too many. They also stay open quite late into the year. They closed the weekend before Thanksgiving last year.

A local classic. The best Peanut Butter shake I’ve ever had. I think they put an entire tub of Peanut Butter into it.
