For years I’ve lived down the street and this place has always been a mystery to me. Finally, on a rainy Sunday afternoon, we decided to drop in for brunch! It’s definitely not what you expect at first; very small dining space, barely any staff, etc. Though it was raining it was still bustling with golfers and we were even able to watch some guys play in the rain and fumble in some puddles. My whole party ordered breakfast plates. A couple French toasts, some scrambles, breakfast burritos, and so on. The French toast was awesome, the chorizo scramble was to die for and the breakfast burritos were ok(kinda tiny and could have used a little more flavor). Service wasn’t the absolute best but we received our food quickly and had no real complaints. I would suggest coming with smaller parties as there is not much space, but definitely worth a try!

So good! We needed a quick stop for breakfast, and these guys delivered! Not a huge menu, but everything cooked to perfection, great portions. Loved it. Would repeat.

The restaurant is located in a golf course near hayward airport. The food is good and the french fries are awsome(lilttle spicy) ive ate hamburger and they are good. And adding a beer makes you lunch or dinner better. Price is around $ 10 to $ 20 depending if you are getting beers or drinks. Give it a try i know you wont regret it.

I was looking forward to checking out this place with my family today to see if the food was good for possibly having my organization’s banquets there in the future. When we got there, we were told that there was a private event(no problem, we could eat outside) and then when we went to see about eating outside, the cook inside said sorry, the kitchen is closed, but you could eat a hot dog if you wanted one. I was a little disappointed, I wanted to like this place, maybe I’ll try again some other time if they aren’t too busy. It would have been nice if there was a sign out front that said there was an event going on or if there was some way to know that the kitchen was closed. 2 stars as it is a very nice-looking place/venue. If I try it again, I’ll update my review to reflect the experience.

I am a Student Senator at Chabot College in Hayward. Our Student Senate held a banquet for students who were studying for their final exams. It was because of this event that I researched and found Skywest Restaurant. The reviews were great so I decided to give Mercy and her crew a chance. I was not disappointed. Not only was Mercy very helpful and understanding but the food was delicious! We easily served 100 students who could not stop talking about how great the food was. Many students kept mentioning how great the gravy was, they insisted that it was home made. In my experience if a restaurants food is so good that people think it is home made, then they are definitely doing something right. I will most definitely keep Skywest Restaurant in mind for future events where we need catering services. A special thank you to Mercy for helping the Student Senate at Chabot make this event possible. Many students were grateful for your service.

The manager Merci is such a pleasure! She is very friendly and addressed my concerns immediately. My family and myself were invited back to Skywest to give a second try. The invite and the services we experienced the second time around were very sincere and pleasant! The food was delicious so I am very glad we gave this place a second chance! Even the patrons of the restaurant were very friendly and inviting! We will return and becuase of Merci Skywest has gained my faith back! Thank you!

I only went to this place because it was the first place that came up when I did a search for dog friendly restaurants. I called ahead and asked the waitress there if I could bring my pup and she said, of course. When I first got there with my cousin and pup, I didn’t know exactly what to do. Do I go inside or wait outside on the patio? But there was no one eating on the patio and I was afraid we wouldn’t be noticed. So I opened the door and walked in about 3 steps and the waitress politely said I could sit outside and she would bring menus out to us. The service here is attentive and if I asked for something, it would come out 3 minutes later. I know how it is if you’re sitting outside and there’s no other customers, you could be forgotten. I ordered the beet salad. It was average to good. I think it needs more dressing but I actually liked the 2 different types of beet on there. It gave the salad a sweet flavor to it. My cousin ordered shrimp alfredo but made some changes to it(she wanted it to be chicken instead of shrimp and wanted more mushrooms). The waitress didn’t bat an eye. But when it came out, my cousin didn’t eat much of it. Said it was bland and didn’t have enough creaminess to it. I would definitely go back so my pup can join me in my dining.

This is a nice little restaurant that is attached to the golf course here. Service was quick and attentive. They have a few flat screen TVs playing sports. The food here is surprisingly good. I recommend the nachos, BLT and Philly cheesesteak. The pad thai was meh, should have known better to order that here.

Had a lunch meeting with a coworker on a weekday. The restaurant is tucked away in Hayward. I had no idea it existed until it popped up on Unilocal.Who goes to a golf course to eat?! this girl does if the reviews are good. I’m a food whore, I will go just about anywhere for some good chow. The restaurant has a nice view of the golf course, inside and outside seating and a good menu selection. Not busy, clean and a must on a hot day since the A/C was kicked up during our visit when it was just 75 degrees. I ordered the turkey club sandwich with side salad. No pics my coworkers don’t need to know about my food… ummm I mean Unilocal addiction… ummm hobby. My coworker ordered a salad. Easy dishes and even though there was just a couple other patrons lunch took about 20 mins. The sandwich was a triple decker on toasted sour dough with smoked turkey, cranberry sauce, avocado, lettuce, tomato and onion. It was suppose to have cheese but I couldn’t find it nor taste it so it was either invisible or left off. My coworker stole my bacon. The side salad was mixed greens with a cucumber and some carrot shreds with the dressing on the side. Overall a decent sandwich, nothing exciting and probably wouldn’t order it again. Prices range from $ 7 – 10. Many items to choose from. Service was decent. I like that they serve beverages with a small carafe for refills. Place is «off the beaten path» so not busy. There is a full bar available. It can be rented for private events.

A celebration should be wonderful and memorable experience. My experience with Skywest Restaurant was incredible, to say the least. I worked closely with Mercy, the Director of Catering & team on our wedding celebration. She and the rest of Skywest team really took excellent care of us. They were incredibly professional, friendly, patient, and flexible! Mercy handled any dilemmas that we ran into and everything ran so smoothly throughout the entire process. And, oh let’s not forget the food! It was beyond delicious and all of the guests continue to rave about how good the food was. Many compliments to Chef Sandro! It’s been over a year and I still remember the couscous watermelon salad that was served. Being a foodie myself, I was inspired to try and make this salad at home. In short, I will always look back on the planning process as a wonderful experience and thanks to Skywest team for making that possible. You definitely can’t go wrong with this venue and thanks for the great memory.

I came here at around 11 with a group of 5. The place had plenty of open tables and we were seated right away. I ordered a Portugese omellete, with Linguisa pieces, a blend of onions and red bell peppers. It was decent and I ate most of it up. The others had a Cheeseburger that I could see was enjoyed and cooked perfectly. Someone ordered the Fish and Chips and I tried a piece of this. It was a good batter, nice crunch and the fish was flaky and was well complimented by the Tartar sauce. All told it was a good meal, good service and good quality. The staff came out many times to greet us and introduce themselves. They were very friendly and attentive. I would recomend this place if you happen to be playing golf in the adjoining golf course and wanted a bite to eat.

This was a hidden treasure that I found on my visit to Hayward. It’s on a golf course and is not really crowded. My friend and I went past noon time but were craving for some breakfast brunch sorta food. Luckily they had it. I got the Chorizo Con Huevos and my friend got the all meat omlette and both of them were awesome. The food was served pretty quickly and the portions were quite generous. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the golf course too. Ideal for hosting small parties as well.

Great place for a party!!! Once we finally ended the phone tag with Mercy, the planning was a breeze! Loved the choices for the buffet dinner, and glad linen colors matched our theme. This was a graduation dinner dance for 30 eighth-graders and their parents. It was elegant being near the golf course, which was a great place for photos. Such a great event in 2012 that we’re headed back for 2013! I just recommend the buffet line move a bit faster… Both sides of the table maybe??? More phone tag with Mercy … She needs an assistant!

I loved my experience here. Mercy was nothing but great during a difficult time for my family. My mom had just passed away in death and I was scrambling to make funeral arrangements within a week. Planning a reception for after a funeral service is a little challenging… since you’re never too sure how many people might show up. I’m so glad we gave this place a chance, after a little search on Unilocal. There’s plenty of parking available. The outdoor structure was also perfect for some flexibility with regards to the number of people that would come to support my family. The staff is truly accommodating. And Mercy did a great job in making sure things were taken care of. It really made it easy for our family to just focus more on the reason we were gathering together. I cannot forget to mention the food. There is a lot of variety in the food and dessert items that they cater. I thought the sandwiches and desserts we picked were going to be really simple. Once everything was served and I was able to eat, I was quite surprised at how everything was presented and how delicious it all was. I really would like to go here for lunch or dinner sometime. With all that said, I fully recommend this place for all kinds of group events. It is certain that the staff will be right on top of things.

This was indeed a hidden gem. The only complaint I have; is that it’s taken us 6 years since we’ve lived here to finally try this place. VERY friendly service, VERY affordable, GREAT tasting food. Fantastic value, period! The atmosphere was very quiet & serene. We’ll definitely be back!

Celebrated my dad’s 60th bday today and it was amazing! It was a party for 24 people and the staff made the party memorable! Our guests was all full and loved the food! The paella was amazing and service was good! I have a very expensive taste when it comes to party planning and we just had our wedding at Casa Real(where the food and service is beyond excellent) and I can say that Skywest bar and grill met my expectations! We chose 3 entrees for the party: Chicken with French lemon sauce Beef with Demi glacé Awesome awesome seafood paella Sangria and princess punch! Everything was good! It came with coffee, tea, artisan bread and salad! Mercy was very helpful and replied to all my emails. I love how they have different napkin colors and/or tables covers to match the theme of your party. They offer this service for free! Thanks Mercy and the entire Skywest Bar and grill staff! Definitely booking another event with you guys. Message me if you have any questions BUT trust me, you will not regret booking them or dining at the restaurant.

Sky West is located between the hayward airport and the golf course. the food isn’t new american but is repackaged traditional cafeteria fare. scenery: panaramic view of golf course and crows lumbering for food. no lowly pigeons here. golf course has class. music: rock décor: 4 flatscreens, faux fireplace and minibar in front of the kitchen. menu: burgers, sandwiches, pastas, fish & chip, burritos, salads,… dinner available by appointment. Sampling: –fish & chip(8.99) «beer battered bass fillets»: don’t think so. 3 fish fillets not firm, a little flakey. mostly mushy like. fish fillet tasted the same from the hawaii places. –fries had spices add to simulate garlic fries. obviously from frozen, fries tasted good until they cooled. –apffet? coffee(1.50) weak tasting, mild coffee. leftovers: –hersery kisses given for valentine’s day –cup overflowing with kisses, little valentine biz? –minimal service, bartender is waitress also. –food is inexpensive and you get what you pay for.

I’ve been here on numerous occasions — birthdays, baptisms, even my own wedding shower. The family just seems to flock here for their catering /party needs. And for good reason. The food here is delish. I’ve never actually been here outside of a private event, so I can’t comment on the service during regular hours. But, if you choose to have an event here, you won’t regret it. Lee will create a menu to suit your taste buds *and* your budget. It can be daunting to have the freedom to choose your own menu, but even if you said, «I want meat, some noodles, a salad and something seafood», I’m sure he could create something you and your guests would love. Other Pros: 3LCD tvs, allowing you to watch any game from any seat in the house; beautiful view, especially at sunset; great bar service; the paella is kick-ass. [No, really, it’s awe.some.] This restaurant is nestled away behind Target, and on your drive there you may just give up hope of ever finding it. But it’s worth every minute… and every bite, for that matter. ;D
