As the previous review said, this place has been«sitting there» on Harder Road for at least a year or two. I patiently waited, hoping that it would somehow be as good as Rosco’s and that I’d no longer have to drive to JLS for some decent chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, this place doesn’t sell waffles. The menu includes an eclectic group of items; perhaps an attempt to get anyone through the door. The chicken was cheap, I believe $ 10 for 10 pieces of chicken. However, they seem to do a good job of under cooking. The sides were passable; but extremely small considering they use the same size for both family meals and individual meals. Overall, I had lofty dreams for this place. But ultimately reality stepped in.

I’ve been driving by this newly built restaurant that sat for well over a year, maybe two, before opening for business. That’s strange. I saw the light on the other day and dropped in. The place was brand new and clean, but the people running the place looked like they would run a hole-in-the-wall in a city of hole-in-the-walls. That’s strange. I saw the big slobbering sparsely-toothed boss covertly pouring whiskey into his cup of coke. That’s strange. I ordered the«Seafood Lunch» — 5 pieces of fish and a side of coleslaw. The fish was good. Well maybe… it’s more that the batter was good and the fish was a vehicle for eating fried batter. That’s strange. The coleslaw? Whoa, that’s really strange. If you eat there after reading this review… well, you know.
