Service was great. The tortillas are rare to find they are similar to what they use in Mexico(I said comparable not equal). The meat is not freshly cooked its cooked and stored to serve when ready. I will give them props for service. The horchata was gone and I asked if they can make more. The gentlemen made it in the back and asked if it was to my liking or does it need more sugar. What! You rarely get service like that. Overall it’s a good place to eat if you are in town, other than that, my search continues for a good Mexican restaurant.

I think that this place has the bad Unilocal luck of getting stuck with bad reviews from previous establishments at the same location. Rico Mac has been here since 2014, any reviews from 2012-early 2014 are for the two failed taquerias that previously occupied that spot. Rico Mac has the best Tacos and Burritos I have had in a long time. Some interesting choices like«nacho fries» and the California burrito kind of mix it up, but the staples are all good. Two Tacos with beans and rice(Deluxe Taco Plate) with a little lime and I’m done. I have my entire company eating here now, and not just for lunch, they bring their families here on the weekends also. Heck, my mom makes me bring her a tostada when I visit Fremont on the weekends. Great food, fast service, reasonable prices, and friendly people. What more could you ask for?

I used to go to the taqueria here years ago but now go to Marias off of 92 and Clawiter but Maria’s is not open in the evening. So as I as passing through I decided to stop by. Big mistake. The burritos are so thin. They barely put any meat or rice or beans into the burritos. It is about half the size of Maria’s burritos for the same price($ 6.50). They do provide chips with the burritos. To top it off, as I was leaving I realized they overcharged me by a dollar(and I left a tip). They did not provide a receipt and the cash register does not show the price. So if you go there make sure they don’t overcharge you. The food was just OK.

I really like this neighborhood taqueria. I always get the same thing: fish taco and super veggie taco. The sauce is especially good — I don’t what it’s called, but it’s creamy and spicy. I like that have black beans in addition to pinto, because I prefer black. Also, the folks behind the counter and in the kitchen are super nice. They always call out good bye when we leave, and are just pleasant people whose business I like to support. The place is always clean.

OMG where do I even start?! I used to work across the parking lot from them at Check Center. Now I’ve been to many taquerias in Hayward, being that I was born and raised here. My family had been going to Senaida’s for years, but in the last couple of years, we have all agreed that Senaida’s unfortunately lost their touch. After trying a couple of others, I began going to San Marcos taqueria for lunch because my ex-coworkers at Check Center would usually order from there. San Marcos’s food was decent but their tacos are so small I could finish them in 2 small bites, while my husband in 1. So I decided to give RICOMACTACOTAQUERIA a try, and I’ve been a returning, loyal customer since then! Dude, their food is BYFAR the best MEX food I have had in Hayward, not lie! I even got my coworkers and family, especially my husband hooked on it! My husband and I have eaten here so much they literally know our names now lol. We have eaten their Tortas, Super Nachos: which you can customize with yellow or white cheese, or both(personal fave!), Super Tacos(so meaty!), Burritos, and my hubby’s fave the 4×4 huge«arm’s length» burrito, yes, like the one’s they sell out of taco trucks in Oakland! Their burritos are to die for. Super juicy and not watery(like Senaida’s) and their tacos are a nice size. We love their horchata too, it tastes homemade! I also love the fact that you can literally customize your order HOWEVER you want. Kind of like the Starbucks of Taquerias lol. I specifically used to order burritos of «asada» or beef mixed with«al pastor» or seasoned pork. Now we are hooked on the burritos mixed with asada and«lengua» or cows tongue! Their meats are so tender and well cooked! And only $ 0.50 extra charge for the lengua but it comes with everything else(= including my fav guacamole and sour cream. You also get the choice of beans: whole, black beans, or refried. Personally, my husband prefer the refried beans, because it tastes so good when mixed with their yummy rice! My husband and I will continue being loyal customers as long as they keep making delicious food! \(^0^)/ I even asked if they do catering services, which they do! So I have plans to hire them for future parties!

The place that was there before closed and was really good. This made me hesitant to try the new place. Wasn’t all that great.

Ordered a Super burrito with no beans and extra sour crème, they of course charged me for the extra sour cream. I got a tiny burrito with no beans and no sour cream. It was mainly tortilla and rice. Also the nacho cheese sauce looks funky and isn’t that good.

The place is clean and the staff is very nice. I ordered a fajita chicken salad. It was very good and the teller was very accommodating to my request and needs. Prices are reasonable and competitive. Street tacos everyday price 1.50. 1 star taken because they user iceberg and I would encourage them to use romaine. But the iceberg lettuce was very fresh and crisp. No wilting. :) The salsa available to go seemed watered done and lack flavor but on the other hand the Pico de Gallo on my salad was on point. The portion was sufficient and filled me up. This taqueria will have to work on their time. But to give them the benefit of doubt, it appears they are in the middle of training staff. I will be trying this taqueria again because I saw a vegetarian section; which will please my vegetarian daughter I hope they read my comments and find them constructive, because I hate that so many taquerias are just mediocre. I believe this place can improve as their staff learns the menu and maybe change their salsas to be more tastier. Good luck to them and I will be trying more on the menu in the future.

Terrible food. Better off going to san marcos around the corner. The meat is dry and tasteless. The«cheese» sauce is dirty looking and I dont really trust it. This will be my last time going there.

I LOVETHISPLACE! I always get the tacos and have tried most of the meats. My favorite is Al pastor, Carne Asada and Chile Verde. Tacos are only $ 1.50 each and they are very generous with the meat portion.

I was in the area doing laundry and needed something to eat. Since I am new to the area, I decided to walk around and see what was available. I saw this place in the parking lot with Luckys and I figured that I couldn’t go wrong since it’s Mexican. I don’t care much for appearances unless the place just looks like somewhere that you probably wouldn’t want to get food from. The inside wasn’t very decorated. You had the counter at which you order food from, a few tables with chairs, one TV on a Spanish station, and one of those soda refrigerators. Even the outside looked bland, but I came here to eat, not to admire the scenery. Customer service was fine. It wasn’t anything to write home about, but that’s what I like. I hate overly polite, fake customer service. The two workers were polite without being overbearing. It was perfect customer service and they even brought my food out to me when it as ready. As for the food itself, I can’t say it was anything special. It wasn’t bad; it just didn’t stick out from any other taqueria. My order came a lot more quick than I expected so that’s a definite plus. I ordered a regular chicken burrito with cheese to go and asked for an order of chips and salsa while I waited. The chips are store bought. I have no problem with that; they tasted fine. I did enjoy their green and red salsas — they give you plenty of you’re eating in, but, in my to go bag, I was disappointed by how little they gave me. Size wise, the burrito is a little smaller than what you’re probably used to at a taqueria. Regardless, it was still filling and I am stuffed as I write this review. It was kind of dry, though. I would have liked if I had some lime ot more salsa on the side to put into my burrito, but, alas, I did not. Dryness aside, it was edible. It’s quite average in the flavor department, but it wasn’t unsatisfactory, if that makes any sense. Even though I paid a dollar for cheese, I don’t feel like they put enough on. And speaking of price, I paid $ 7.32. For the caliber of this food, that’s just asking too much. Don’t get me wrong, the food isn’t by any means bad, but I definitely wouldn’t call it great. Would I go there again? Maybe just to try their other menu items, but that isn’t likely when there are other choices for food in the area. However, if I was in the mood for JUST a burrito, at that price, I’d be better off going to Taco Bell. I don’t see this restaurant having long lifespan. Again, not from being it’s BAD — it just isn’t good enough. Would I recommend it? Only if its location is convenient for you and you wanted to try a different Mexican restaurant that isn’t Taco Bell(admittedly not Mexican, but I’m comparing burritos to burritos here and also value for the dollar).

Located right off the freeway. We were starving so we decided to try it. Let’s just say its a first and last. Service sucked. Nothing special here. Limited seating. Carnitas was dry and nachos were made with can cheese. Chips were stale. Only thing good was the horchata.
