The best Mariachi in the Bay Area… HANDS DOWN!!! I called Raymundo, the director, and he’s a true professional. We hired Mariachi Mexicanisimo to play for my father’s funeral mass at the Newman Hall in Berkeley and for the memorial at the Richmond Country Club. I had no idea what would be the best songs and he had great selections. After discussing all the details and agreeing on their rate, I received a 1 page simple but precise contract. I just loved their professionalism. I speak Spanish but I’m more comfortable in English. Raymundi immediately got that and we communicated in English. He worked with me on every detail. They arrived at Newman Hall 30 minutes early. When plans changed a bit, during the mass, as often happens in any event, they went with the flow– true professionals. All of our guests were moved by their music. At the Richmond Country Club, they were amazing. Golfers who weren’t part of our party asked about them. That’s how good they are. Real musicians. With every song, they had soloists that inspired applause from everyone. They were the best part of the reception. If you hire them ask for Cascabel, Volver Volver, El Rey… Anyway, this is the 1^st review I had to do because I couldn’t be more pleased.

I didn’t hire this group, but I heard them perform at the Dublin Splatter festival and they are terrific. They’re good musicians, of course, but they also have a very engaging manner that made me want to watch them.
One of the singers, singing a sad love ballad, made great eye contact with audience members (including me). I felt like he was singing to me; very charismatic. They have beautiful costumes too.
