Makai does an amazing job with updos! I always go to her for every event! It stays in place all night without falling out. She did my hair for my engagement and my sisters wedding and I was satisfied with my results. Definitely recommend going to her she’s great!

I’ve been going to the salon for six years now and she does the best updos. You can show her a picture and she’ll do exactly like that. If you don’t like anything she won’t get upset if you tell her to change things around

Love her hair updos! Expect nothing but the best! Your updo lasts all day and night without budging (doesn’t fall apart by end of an event) elegant, classy, fabulous! Makai did my hair for my wedding and for both my sisters wedding and I will continue to go back!

I have my hair done by Makai every month and I love what she does to my hair. I am also happy with the results. She listens. I get the exact color I ask for. She cuts my hair perfectly and to my request. I send all my friends and family there. They all love her as well. I travel from Dublin to Hayward just for her!!! I highly recommend Makai.

So how do i start? I heard about this lady through a family. I came in with a pacific picture of blonde hair color that I wanted. I told Makai (The salon lady/​the owner) I told her I want my hair color just like this can you do exact color on me? Makai said ”YES I can”. I kept constantly repeating myself to her ”Are you sure you can because i don’t want you to mess up my hair”, she said ”I will guarantee you I will do exact color on you”. She gave me the guarantee word and i bought it.
So she spend half hour on my hair the half hour was very uncomfortable for me cuz she kept asking me personal questions about my family, my situation that she heard about from someone, basically she was very nosey she shouldn’t put her nose in other peoples business that i found very very unprofessional.
After she was done with my hair she didn’t blow dried my hair nor did she comb it she said your done. I told her ” are you going to blow dry my hair she told me ”no I don’t have time” she gave me the blow dryer and said ”here you can do it yourself I have another client” I told her ”but i made an appointment with you”. But anyway i bow dried my own hair i looked in the mirror i didn’t like what i saw it looked so ugly that i just wanted to cry. I told Makai ”i don’t like it at all its not even blonde it’s not even close to blonde”. She said ”well that’s how it comes out” the she said ”ok pay me $ 240″ I looked at her like ”WHHHAT? $ 205 for this? i am not impressed you have to do something to fix my hair” she said ”no i did my time to color your hair pay me my money” I was about to walk out the door or i was going to call the cops she pulled my hand and said ”you need to pay me” so i paid her i wasn’t going to deal with unprofessional idiot it wasn’t about the money at all it was about her messing up my hair. At the end i told her you damaged my hair it looks horrible if you don’t fix my hair i’ll take legal actions i guess she got scared and said come back i went back got my hair colored dark red and she still charged me money to fix it even though it should been for free.
I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. If you don’t want to get screwed over with your hair then go to the Mall it’s expensive but worth the money.

I always come here for my haircuts and I always leave happy. Price is moderate compared to other pricey salons who charge twice the amount. Colored my hair mahagany red for the first time couple months ago, and the owner was super nice and patient. She colored my hair just the way I wanted. Taking a picture is very helpful, but shell know even without a photo. Wish you the best in your new hairstyle!

My sister had come here to color her hair and she was screwed over. She didn’t like it AT ALL and had to go back and get it fixed. The cuts are also not that great, you don’t exactly get what you ask for. I’ll give it 2 stars because its one of the few places that hijabi’s can get a hair cut.
