Hutch’s Full Service Touch-Less Car Wash

The service has steadily gone down over the years. Less & less staffing. You have to go inside the building to pay for an express car wash. Kind of defeats the purpose of express. Meanwhile an attendant was sitting in the booth waiting for full service clients — of which there were none. This is not the well run family owned business it used to be.

I need to find another place. When I tried to wash my car the last several visits, I was told the wait would be 1 — 1 ½ hours and I went early Saturday or Sunday mornings. There seems to be a management and or worker issue. No car wash is worth waiting 1 ½ hours. Will search for a new place.

Came here 10+ years good price and service came tonight and looks like going out of business no filter for oil change came to car wash told an hour wait for three cars ahead of me. Accept it go into store nothing to drink in any of the machines no snacks to buy no car freshners. Looks like its time to look to go elsewhere. Not satisfied.

Horrible experience so many times just decided to let my Unilocalers know. I spend 50 bucks on the details still have dirty tail pipes taco bell hot sauce on the floor. The guy tells me you should spend more for a better service. So 6 bucks for outside only 20 inside and outside and 50 should be enough to clean it well. Not asking for clay or wax. Just good clean car was without crumbs left over from taco bell after LatE night at the Warriors game. Just dispointed too many times had another car I was going to drop but hell no. From your 15 year customer on his last day. It’s you not me.

Please take my advice and do not come here! This place was half decent about 10 years ago. Now that I am back it has gone so far down hill. There are hardly any employees working here and the ones that are here are working and walking around like the life has been sucked out of them. I’m not here at a busy time either-​Monday late morning. My car has been out of the wash waiting for someone to even dry it for about 15 minutes. I will never be coming back! I wish I could give «stars. And to boot the cheapest wash with a vacuum is almost $ 20!!!

Now I remember why I haven’t been here in over a decade. I should have known better when I drove by on a Friday afternoon and there wasn’t a long line of cars waiting to go in the wash — they push them through and let them sit in the sun for half an hour before pulling them under the tent to wipe them down. In the meanwhile, spots and whatever that ‘wax’ coating they use, bakes until it becomes a film. After 45 minutes, watching my car bake in the sun, I asked for my keys and left. The attendant offered to have someone wipe it down, but if it were that easy, why had it been sitting in the sun for 45 minutes along with all the other cars. As mad as I was, I wasn’t going to have them push my car to the front — I wasn’t the only one waiting.
I don’t know what the problem is — it appears they need a lot more people. I think it would be better to not put the cars through the wash until there is someone on the other end to finish them before they dry.
So, I’m stuck with cleaning my car myself, and it’s worse than when I took it in thanks to the water spots and film. I promised my car I would NEVER take it there again — that will be an easy promise to keep.
Shoula woulda coulda, but I should have driven down Foothill to Jackson as I intended. A $ 22 lesson learned.

I usually drive by Hutch’s car wash a few times a week. This is my first time getting a car wash here. I was a bit skeptical at first since most of the reviews said that this wasn’t a good place but, I wanted to check it out anyway since my car was due for a wash.
When I first drove up I was second in line. The woman at the podium was very friendly and came up to my car. She answered all of my questions and even offered a small discount for a wash and wax. I then dropped off my car for the vacuuming and the gentleman there was also friendly. He made sure to ask if I wanted my trunk vacuumed as well but I declined since I had personal belongings in there. The cashier inside was also friendly. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. From what I can see while waiting for the car to be washed and waxed is that the workers here definitely pay attention to detail. Although, it also seems like once they get busy then the amount of detail declines a bit.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with the results and will definitely come back when I need another wash and wax!

I should have read the reviews first but I was in a rush. Paid for the $ 50 wax and detail. Entire trunk of the car was not vacuumed. Still had bird poop on the rear and side of the car. Also I do not think they waxed it as they said they did. Complete waste of money and shame on the owners for providing such a terrible service. If I had I had paid via credit card I would have disputed the charge.

Where to begin. Come in first car that pulls up, tell the young guy what I want… I was the first car who pulled up, then other cars started rolling in behind me, I started to see all these cars getting dried. I looked at the vacuum area and my car was just sitting there, door open and no one in sight! I go to the young guy checkin in cars, I tell him this doesn’t make any sense her rolls the car to go through wash. Mind you all four cars already were done but, I was here first, a guy who came in after everyone including myself starts getting his car dried. I then tell another worker what is going on? Oh, we are undet staff, I told him it doesn’t explain what has happend. 8 cars done and I’m still here! Wth! I go in talk to the manager because now that they are drying my car I see the passenger window is DOWN! OH HELL NO. who does that? So, now it will be smeared! Tell him, he apologizes and just rolls it up and walks off!!! I will not return! Inconsiderate staff and it did not offer me any type of coupon or anything for the inconvenience I sat for an hour when I could have been out of there in 20 minutes because my car is half ass done! Just sitting in vacuum area for who knows how long! Until I got up to look!!! Shut this down!

In my personal experience I have never been satisfied. Today I had to vacuum the car myself after getting it washed. Waste of time and money.

WATER DAMAGE
Well I can in on the 9^th got my car washed like I always do. Well after the wash I go home and on the way home I start hearing clicking sounds from my stereo. Well when u get home I check the amp well it’s we then I check the from seat carpet. I remove the weather tech mats well all my carpet is soaked in soapy water. I right away remove the fuses for the stereo and they are already burned so that’s the clicking u was hearing. So I take the car back they pull out the shop vacs. I do an incident report. Well they work on my car for 30 min just sucking all the water out. I get home car still wet was told to let my car dry out. This happened on the 5−9−16. It’s the 5−17−16 car still wet and not drying. I leave the doors open windows open and it’s. Too much water in the car. I have been leaving messages for the past few days no reply. I called my car insurance and now looking into the damages. The amp, stereo, and wring connecting to the amp are all done. They don’t work. Further more if ur responsible for the damages why treat ur paying customer like u can ignore them. I called the place today and was told manager not in today. Well I was just there and she is there. Then I tell them that well now she’s on break. Well looks like u tell the phone person to just take messages. When I am trying to get my car back on the road. So now am really mad. That they damage ur car and yet act like ur just a complaining customer.

If zero stars were possible I would give them that! I went four different times on different days… At least an hour wait. This last time there was one car being washed and 6 employees. I was told
They were short staffed it would be at least an hour. Never again, got to Hesperian car wash, they did an amazing job and it wasn’t an hour wait!

Worst service EVER!!! I got my car an hour later plus my car was still dirty. I have to take it somewhere else to get it clean now again!

See it’s quality go down, I’m still coming for my oil changes, but the free car wash is terrible I always have to go home and re-​vacuum my car they hire people or rather these kids that don’t give a crap and do a half butt job, some smell like pot others like alcohol terribleI’m looking for another car wash.

You might as well get some quarters wash and vacuum your car the place on mission. Wasted $ 22.99 only felt I needed to leave a $ 5 tip because someone’s mom was wiping my car down. Dust still in the car and I was told my car would smell nice for the $ 22.99 smelt of only window cleaner. Its convenient to go to if your in the area. just get the $ 17 wash if you need a quick clean.

I pretty much only take my car here because I get a free wash after an oil change. They always miss spots inside and outside of my vehicle.
Poor customer service (just as stated by everyone else) One time I asked for a hand wash vs. machine wash because its not as harsh on the clear coat and they literally acted like I was asking for their first born child. Mind you I was paying for the upgraded service and I always tip.
The last time I went the machine wash went down and this woman was yelling at all the newly attending customers to leave because its broken– like walking around the lot screaming and rambling.
When my car came out of the car wash one of the men yelled at a girl– who was clearly on her break eating ice cream, to go get my car and bring it to him. So in she hopped– into my new Nissan Altima — eating a freaking ice cream. I don’t even eat in my car what the heck is this nonsense!?! I felt annoyed that she was eating in my car– but more annoyed that she wasn’t getting the break she worked for!
I do like their selection of greeting cards and air fresheners as random as that sounds lol

Horrible and irresponsible service
I took my car for a complete detailing a week ago. And I discovered a fairly important item is missing from the rear view mirror of my car. I called them up and a woman with terrible attitude told me that they don’t have it because they don’t touch the rear view mirror. But I know they lost it because I never took it off and it was there before I took it for detailing.

Not with the hassle of mediocre service. Then you have to go over your car and keep asking them to fix what they didn’t do. Skip the headache, that costs way to much for the end product to be ahassle.

Horrible customer service.
Everything went wrong:
1. The greeting (which was a woman yelling at me from her podeum, «what car wash do you want??» while my windows were rolled up and she was 20 feet away!
2. Bathroom was disgusting!
3. Cashier could have cared less that I was giving her my hard earned money.
4. 8 cars sitting in the sun after going through the wash. Only two people working on wiping down the cars. I was there for over an hour. Then I ended up doing a lot of what I paid for when I got home.
(inside windows were still dirty and outside back of the car wasn’t clean at all)
I’ve gone to this place three times, and enough is enough. Won’t be going ever again. All three times have been similar to this experience.
Save your money! Don’t give this place a chance.
Now, need to find a new car wash place in Hayward/​Castro Valley.
