I went here over the weekend with my wife and two kids, age 2.5 and 5. I thought the admission was a bit pricey considering what it is, but then again, I get it, I likely wouldn’t come back a second time, so I understand the fee. Did I think it was neat, yes. I drove 4 hours to see it, which probably wasn’t worth it. But this is definitely worth seeing if you’re making multiple stops and passing through Hayward. It was interesting for sure. There is a museum you go in across from the big Muskie, which was interesting. The two Bigfoot statues were the highlight. If you are a fisherman, this probably would be very interesting stuff to see. The big fish is neat to walk into. It is not handicapped accessible, just so you know. No problems for us though, and we walked up the dozens of stairs to go into the fish’s mouth. It made for an interesting photo opportunity. There is also several smaller, but large, fiberglass fish on display throughout the grounds. Additionally, there is a small playground. It was cute, fish themed, and in good shape. All in all, this is a neat stop… a place to say you’ve been, and definitely worth a few photos to blow away your non-Wisconsin friends and family! There probably is nowhere else like this in the world…
