Edgewater Pizza

The staff was friendly. The food was okay. The rice had too much of a cinnamon flavor for my liking. The women’s restroom was out of order so I had to use the men’s restroom. There was a handwritten sign on the wall that said, «do not put toilet paper in the toilet». So, Im assuming they want people to wipe and throw it in the garbage? That’s disgusting and a sanitary issue. If your plumbing is an issue, fix it. Its a restaurant and sanitation is key.

The pizza is cheap and by the slice (wonderful quick lunch for those who are busy), and the mediterranean food is awesome if you have the time!

The food is great, staff friendly, and premises clean. Interestingly, I haven’t had their pizza.
I got shwerma there, and it was just like I was back in Bahrain. My girlfriend and I have gone back several times, and every time we’re there the food is great and I’m really glad that we went.
The prices are decent, and you get a lot of food. Seriously, we can get one plate and have enough to split for a full meal each.
The only thing that’s a slight negative for me, is that it’s in a slightly-​hard-​to-​get-​to shopping center. However, I’m sure it’s really convenient for the corporate/​industrial park right across the street. Other than that, I love this place.

I finally tried this place today and was so amazed at how delicious it was! I ordered the falafel wrap and a side of hummus. The falafel was moist with amazing flavor. The combination of the veggies Garlic/​cucumber sauce was on point. Could not have been happier. I am going to come back and try the pizza next. I also will probably call my order in ahead of time, had to wait for abut 10 minutes to get my food around 11:30am.

I had a chance to visit this restaurant today for lunch, I was really surprised at how delicious my pizza was. The crust was light and flaky and the toppings were just perfect! I would definitely come back and I love the stuff they were so friendly.

I came in today with my two daughters for lunch, and we had a wonderful experience. We ordered pizza, the Kefta plate, the chicken kabob plate and all three were amazing, the sauces that came with the food were excellent and the crust on the pizza was fantastic! I highly recommend this place and I would definitely come again, the staff was also extremely helpful and friendly!

I had the chicken kabab plate. AMAZING! Everything is made to order & worth the wait! The meat was super tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked & the salad dressing was great. The garlic sauce was so good.
I love family owned restaurants and you can tell this food was cooked with love. Great service, great meal. I’ll definitely be back.

I have only tried the Falafel Calzone. I really liked it. I would order it again. It really works! I don’t know of any place that has such an offering. The people there were really nice too. I’ll be back to try the pizza next time!

I just came and got a slice of pizza, regular pepperoni. It wasn’t the pizza tho, they’re service is really great

I’m currently staying in Hayward for a week because of work, and I was starving so decided to stop by here and I sure dig the place. It’s nice and clean not loud at all they have beer great choices to add on top of that the pizza was really good and they seem to have many more things on the menu but didn’t get to explore much. Employees are friendly and nice so that was good as well. I would definitely come back and I would also recommend this place to everyone! Seems like they might even let you smoke hookah inside because they Have hookahs won’t hurt to ask. Just come on in you might love it!

Fun place for pizza and Mediterranean cuisine, I like their Shawerma platter and combo pizza.

Ordered a beef kabob plate here. Beef portion was on point and tasted great. The salad was underwhelming in taste (not enough ingredients and tangy-​ness) and quantity. Rice portion (no spice.) and pita bread (3 little pieces) were skimpy too. The tahini sauce was so bland that it ruined the meal. I’m used to having green chutney with my meat, not tahini sauce. I like it sour. If the tahini sauce tasted good, I wouldn’t have minded. Great meat, but everything else sucked… didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Before I picked up my meal, I saw that ²⁄₄ people at a table did not finish a HUGE portion of their food (calzone and shawarma plate) before leaving. Now I know why. I hope this place improves because I like the location and décor.
In the meantime, come to Fremont and try out De Afghanan’s in Fremont for a real kick-​ass kabob plate.

I have been to this place many times before. In the middle of this industrial and commercial neighborhood, just off Eden Landing exit of the 92, you will find this mom and pop establishment. I have noticed many changes to the menu since my last visit but the food quality and taste wise has not changed.
Drove here with my friend in a short trip to the bay and we decided to stop by here for quick lunch. Be warned, this place gets very busy during lunch and the food is freshly cooked. So if you are the type of «I want it right now», then you better calling ahead of time or head on to the nearest fast food, if you lucky to find one in this area.
PARKING:
This is located in a small strip mall. They have plenty of parking but it seems they get filled fast during lunch time.
SERVICE:
This is a family business and the owners and employees are always friendly. This is not a full service restaurant. You place your order at the counter, pay for it and depending on what you order, they will shout out your name to pick-​it up.
THE FOOD:
On previous visits I have tried almost everything. The Pizza’s, the kabob and sandwiches. The Shawerma, beef, lamb and chicken are awesome. The grilled rib eye shish kabob is delicious as well the marinated kabob chicken.
This visit we tried the Oregano, sesame with olive oil pizza, or what they call (zait O zater)=== This pizza might not appeal to everyone’s palate because of its bitter finish taste but many people develop taste to this fantastic pizza.
The hummos and meat=== Sauteed small chunks of beef in olive oil, sauteed almonds, served on top of hummous. Pita bread is served on the side. This is delicious and very filling.

Very nice place is very clean. The person at the ordering desk was very nice. Food was worth coming back for.

This restaurant is amazing! Food taste so fresh. Chicken & Beef kabobs were on point very tender and tasty just perfect.

I’ve gotten their kebab plates, burgers, and shawarma plates.
They are always really nice and accommodating to substitutions.

I will always be an advocate for Mom & Pop shops. They just seem to get it. Whether it’s food, service, and even ambiance, they just seem to actually care about the customer as a person, rather than just another dollar in their pocket.
Mrs. and her sister come here every so often and they are always treated like family. The food we ordered took some time, but nothing is waiting over heat lamps, nor is anything microwaved from what I tasted.
My latest (not last) visit, we ordered the Edgewater Special which consisted of Kefta kebab, chicken kebab, and beef kebab (don’t know if it was filet mignon, but was extremely tender and tasty) which included rice, pita, and house salad.
The house salad was nicely light with a vinaigrette type dressing. The pita was nicely soft and hot to make little pita «sandwiches» with the proteins if I decided to. The meat from the kefta was seasoned perfectly, chicken kebab was seasoned perfectly as well and beef kebab was perfect.
The food was amazing for a restaurant in a small strip mall. If you’re on the 92, you can easily pass by this gem without even knowing it’s there. If you’re in the area and in the mood to try something really good, be it Mediterranean food or pizza (which I will try on my next visit), please be sure to give this wonderful family your business. My mouth is already drooling remisnicing about our meal.

Edgewater isn’t just pizza, there’s calzone, salads, burgers, and mediterranean food: kabobs, hummus, shawarma, etc. maybe a bit pricey but there’s little competition around here.
