If you enjoy Philly cheese steaks you will love this place. Best ever! Small restaurant but clean and friendly.

1st Time Here Had the Mexican Hoagy(No Pepper Flakes) it was Delicious. I did order an extra side of fries to split between me & a friend. this location does not offer the fresh cut tempura coatsd onion rings and wish they did. Staff wasn’t talkative nor offered us a menu when we sat at the empty counter.

If you have ever been to Philly and you know their cheesesteak is something you can’t leave without then you know going to a new spot back in Cali is hard because you have higher expectations. I came here with my fiancé because I am pregnant and having major cravings. My fiancé recommended me to try the Mexican Philly Cheesesteak. It was pretty good although I wish they had wiz I thoroughly enjoyed it and it satisfied my cravings. We sat by the bar waiting for it to be cooked, it was cheesy, and spicy and it was good. I can’t say it was Philly good but it did hit the spot. I’ll definitely will come back and eat here again :)

Very casual fast food type cheese steak joint. Strip mall parking. Order at the counter and then find a table. Pay at the counter before you leave. Tasty cheese steaks, with or without bell peppers or mushrooms. Friendly service. I hear the CSUEB students call in take out orders. Go for it. I’d eat here again easy.

The best Hoagy steaks in the Bay Area! Consistent quality and service. Family owned. The area is a little sketch but go during the day and take out.

Been going here since a kid, best in hayward. But not the east bay. I feel the quality has gone down a bit.

Wanted to give 4 stars for this place because the food is pretty decent. Ultimately i gave 3 stars because of the service. The service wasnt bad … It wasnt good, there wasnt any. It was not at all friendly. And the fries were a lil over cooked…

My go-to cheesesteak place as this is close to my house. But I’m glad it is cuz this place is really good! I just get the plain ol Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches here and they never fail to fulfill my appetite — especially when I crave for a greasy cheesesteak! The place is really small in the corner of this little plaza but is definitely a hidden gem. Service is pretty quick also. I highly recommend

Family owned, very friendly folks, great customer service. I’m drooling thinking about all of the cheese steaks I’ve had here. I usually get the cheese steak with peppers, lettuce and mushrooms on top. Bomb. My friends and family always enjoy the food here also. I will definitely be coming back!

I LOVECHEESESTEAKS. There’s a similar location in Fremont that I also recommend, but this one is conveniently placed on my commute home. The mushroom cheese steak is my go-to when I’m craving. I recommend getting the regular size(instead of the small) for ~1−1.50 more. You get the second half of the cheesesteak, just save it for later if you can’t finish it. An order comes with steak fries and a pickle. The parking lot can get full if you come around dinner time(it’s a small shared parking lot in a complex with many other little stores), so look out for that. Also, they charge for card transactions, so you may want to bring cash. The couple the owns the place is super nice and friendly. One of those local restaurants that may look a bit sketchy, but their food is great.

The location of this restaurant seems so sketch whenever I go here but the food is totally worth it. It’s a mom & pop shop that’s been around ever since I can remember. The owners are very nice and friendly. I still remember getting food here when I was in high school. The food has been consistent and nothing has really changed that’s probably why I still continue to return here to this day. I typically get a hoagie steak with added mushrooms. The sandwich comes with steak, cheese, grilled onions(drool), lettuce and tomatoes with a side of steak fries. They cook it in the front and you pay for your meal after your done eating. The food always taste amazing and it never disappoints.

BEST. SANDWICHES. IN. HAYWARD! Hoagy Steaks is by far the best in Hayward. The meat is tender and fresh, the rolls they use are moist and soft. If you’re looking for some quality hoagies for a great price, go here! I ordered 2 Hoagy Sandwiches, 2 orders of fries(Fries automatically come with your order by the way) and the total was $ 19 and some change! Not too bad for a great sammie! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal. Not too greasy. It’s perfect! Another great thing is it is owned and operated by a very nice Asian Family. Nicest people you’ll ever meet! They all greet you with a smile and a welcome. It’s a cool environment. Customer service is top notch here. And if you keep going, like I do, they’ll remember you and your usual order! Which is very convenient when you don’t feel like repeating your order every couple days haha

Best cheesesteak in Hayward, period. Probably the best cheesesteak ever. I always order the mushroom cheesesteak w/extra white cheese and grilled onions + WELLDONE fries. If you don’t like soggy ass fries, be sure to order them well done.(Pro-tip, order fries well done everywhere you go if you like them crispy & they will be happy to oblige!) The food is always consistent, which is hugely important to me. Staff isn’t that friendly, but to be fair they are always busy & are trying to get everyone right in & right out– which I can appreciate. The pickles are really delicious too. I’m a huge dill pickle fan & these are A+. It’s right in the little corner of the 7 star shopping center. If you live in Hayward, eat meat & haven’t had Bob’s, you’re not really from Hayward. Sorry, not sorry.

Hands down one of the best Philly Cheesesteak places I’ve been to. Today I ordered the mushroom steak, with lettuce and tomatoes and it was bomb like always. Their French fries are also sooo good! Thick and crispy, just how I like them! Pickles on the side, which taste soooo good with the sandwich. Everything is just so savory… well worth your money! Definitely the only place to get great-quality cheesesteaks The location is alright; the place needs some remodeling done for sure lol, but I always place phone orders because of convenience & cause the interior isn’t really a pretty sight. It’s really small inside, but the quality of their food is great.

I’m disappointed with this place now. I ordered a grilled cheese for my son and I got a toasted Hoagy bread with two slices of cheese on top of each other. Smh. You guys can’t even spread the cheese??? They already skimp in the meat but now they can’t even make a fuxkn grilled cheese???

Another hidden gem in Hayward. Sorry Unilocaler’s my old smart phone was not so smart. But now I do. Great steak sandwiches. Very filling if you want something worth your $ 10. Down side, location, location, location. You will not find it, if don’t know what your looking for. It’s on Mission Boulevard before Industrial in a very small plaza where BK is.

Bob’s Hoagys is the best place to get your Philly cheesesteak fix in Hayward. It’s a family ran business and they are extremely nice and courteous. My usual is the Hoagy with everything on it and sometimes I add mushrooms. The Hoagy comes with the beef, mayo, cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and tomatoes. Oh yeah, it comes with awesome huge steak fries and a pickle. The meat is fresh and the bread is toasted on the grill with butter which adds a nice texture to the sandwich. I’ve been coming here for years and the key to that is… consistency. It’s tasted the same for years and is always delicious and fresh. Tip, bring cash, they do charge you a extra couple cents for using a debit card.

This place is great! Its unfortunate that this place isn’t in a better location. The ambiance needs a lot of work. Its kind of a whole in the wall joint BUT the food is very good and the people who work there are very nice. What I got was the Mushroom cheese steak. It was so delicious that I had to finish it. It tasted like they put in the cream of mushroom an mixed it with some cheese on buttered bread. It was genius! With the order of the mushroom cheese steak come with a side of pickle and fries. I plan on coming back here again soon and try their Hoagy steak, which is a cheese steak with veggies.

Humm… not sure what to say about this chain in the back area but I tried their mushroom cheese steak sandwich with steak fries. I decided to take the closed bottle or canned drinks in the frig instead of the fountain as I was not sure of the taste. I always liked the bottles or cans better than the fountain drinks as sometimes it’s too much syrup or too much carbonation. It took a good 20 minutes to make our food and we were the only ones eating in the restaurant. There was a lot of pick ups coming in. We decided to eat here. It had pretty clean tables and empty seats. They had a TV to watch he news. They did not accept credit cards and charged $ 0.55 per debut transaction. Good thing we had cash! We got our order and it was a pretty good serving BUT the fries had no salty flavor and the sandwich was kind of blah even with the cheese?! I had to add pepper and a little salt to my sandwich. But it was cheap so I decided to rate it three stars. It was an ok meal and nothing special. My other grip here was its next to a liquor store and other small shops. It was a little ghetto here as coming out, there were a few liquor store drunk customers outside and then chatting with you. There were a few standby folks, too just watching people around. Not sure if I would come back unless I crave a steak sandwich for cheap…:-/
