This is my little gem! Very clean; usually not busy as long as you come before 12pm on the weekends. Bring cash; they do not accept cards. Always has an attendant in case you have any problems with any machines. Tonight will be my first time going there in the evening so we’ll see how that goes.

My experience is that this laundromat is clean and well run. I like their big machines for my blankets and comforters. However, I have to say that I was a little shocked to notice that the facility was open on Christmas Day. I don’t think much business was done that day; and I think the employees would have appreciated the day off with their families. Maybe an idea for next year…:-)

Clean. Uses dollar bills to put on card. And has the large washers I needed for my comforters…

When you move to a new area it’s hard to find a clean, reasonably priced laundromat to make lugging your weeks worth of dirty cloths somewhere to clean as painless as possible. If you move to the downtown Hayward area, AA Coin Laundry is the place to spend your time. First, it’s no longer a coin laundry. All the machines run on a magnetic card which you obtain from free after putting your bills into the magnetic card getter machine. This card is refillable so bring it back again and again. The triple loaders cost $ 3.75 and the x-tra large loaders are $ 4.25.(I think single loads are $ 2.00 but I don’t remember I rarely use them). Dryers are $ 0.37 for 10 minutes. I go on Saturday or Sunday before noon and have never had to wait for a washer or dryer. There are rarely any machines out of order. I have seen a dryer here or there and a washer once but it is usually fixed by the time I go back. The only thing in short supply are the drying carts if they are really busy. There is always an attendant on duty. They make sure the place stays clean and answer any questions you might have. There is a little room where they sell big boxes of detergent and fabric softener or you can buy 1 shots in the machine on the wall with your little magnetic card. The only thing the magnetic card does not work is the candy/soda machine which does take coins or bills. However, connected is a little store where you can buy anything you want if you are really hungry. IF you are really lucky, the attendant will be selling his tamales from his cooler(YUM!!). Keep in mind: 1) No ATM machine. So bring money with you. 2) Not much seating so you shouldn’t mind sitting close to your neighbor. 3) There is a HUGHTV on the wall. But it has only ever been tuned to the Spanish channel. 4) There are a couple of video games(oh, those don’t take the magnetic card either!)
