I used to get exceptional service when Simon was working for this business. Now that he is no longer there, the service has gone down hill. Anyone knows where Simon went???

I have been coming to these guys for years now. Both Simon and Brian are great guys. They will work with you.

WoW! Best tire buying experience in 20 years. Simon and Brian are a great team. Do your research, I knew I wanted a relatively new Goodyear Eagle Sport for my 2013 Dodge Dart, which I tend to drive like NASCAR qualifying. The car holds up well, but the original Continentals wore out too fast. I showed up at 10 a.m. with no appointment, the right front Continental blew out two nights ago on the way home from work, I HAD to get 1 or 2 new tires a.s.a.p. on my only day off this week. I told Simon what I wanted, he suggested alternatives he had in stock, not pushy, just to save time and money, but I knew what I wanted, he made two calls, found my tires 1 & ½ hours away, like I said, I had to wait, Downtown Hayward kept me busy, Peets Coffee, Ace Hardware, The Book Shoppe on B street, Vintage Alley, etc… when I came back from my Walkabout, I expected to wait about another hour or so, BUT the car was done, 2 new tires, delivered, balanced, installed, Done. I paid and left. The drive home on 580 was a blast, I was changing lanes and blasting around the slow pokes just for fun. 2 Great Tires, professional, friendly, funny, customer service. Priced a little high, but I wanted the newest and I always get the warranty on the tires.

Brian and Simon are friendly and courteous. I started using them about a year ago because they are located by my work. Now I bring all my cars (07 bmw z4, 04 bmw 330i, 01 bmw 525i, 09 mercedes e350) here for services and tires. They are fast, inexpansive, and honest. Brian even reset the service light on my mercedes the last time i was there. I am extremely pleased with their work and would recommend them without reservation.

Literally the manager told me «he is a $ 30 customer, he can wait» …I get that he was in a conversation, but don’t ever say that to a PAYING customer…

I’m surprised that there are less than glowing reviews for this place. In 6 years I’ve been taking my cars to them, I’ve had nothing but a great experience. They have handled everything for me from simple oil change to new tires to engine repairs. The work was always done on time and everyone was courteous and attentive.
Today I went back because one of my tires had a slow leak and it was done in a few minutes and did it at no charge. I have no problem recommending them for any type of work, but of course they do specialize in tires.

Went in on Monday for a simple oil change and no less then 30 mins later my check engine light came on. Went back as soon as it happened to speak to the man in charge brain. He lifted up my hood and said nothing looked wrong but as we looked over it together we both noticed my «snorkel hose was ripped» He informed me that «I» must have broke it… But please note the man who did my oil change lifted up the hose to chec my air fliter which is located next to my hose Which is odd for the fact I keep my car we’ll taken care of also if it was broke before the check engine light would have came on months ago. Which it did not. He keep telling me it was a odd coincidence that it happened the same day and 30 mins laters… I spoke to him about replacing the hose because my car had been shaking and not working to well he said he would look for a hose a replace it be course HE meaning brain agreed it was their fault after 20 mins of going back and froth… He said he would call me th next day. Which I never heard back finally I went in on Wednesday at 8:30 am to speak to him Im person again to find out he was not there… I was told they could not find my hose because it was so brand new a 2006 is not brand new. Also I was able to find a few myself with doing some research in the locate auto stores a few blocks away… Finally after telling the other man at good years that I knew a lot about cars he said he’ll keep looking… Hours later I get a call saying they still can’t find one… hmm a little fishy also they tapped my hose back together with tape which melted off the first day I had to re tape it several times myself to make my car work. Finally I get a call this morning Thursday saying they found a hose… I leave work to drop off my car and this is what I get. A bill to pay half of the hose because now they will not agree they broke it… I asked to speak to the manager brain once again. He didn’t not want to hear me or even talk to me like a normal person the man yelled at me spoke to me like I was stupid I didn’t like the way he handled himself … After 15 mins of his rudeness I said ok then I’ll pay half NOTE jus because I needed my car fixed and they wouldn’t let me have it for free like they said on Monday I asked how much at first he said $ 70 I said wow can I please see the recite for the hose… It took him by surprise I guess because as he handed me the paper work it clearly said $ 98.00 for the hose… I was shocked to see they wanted me to pay that… I got very angry and asked how that os half… The man looked stuck I refused to pay $ 70 and after another 10 mins of back and froth talk I finally paid $ 49.25 for something they broke… He told me to leave my car there and they would put it on for free and call me in a few hours to pick it up… I had to laugh at that statement no way!!! I am now taking it to a new place to be fixed… Worst idea ever went for a $ 30 oil change and came out wit almost a $ 80 bill for bad services I’ll stay clear from this place from now on… Please rethink before going here they have no people skill or skills In car service… No one should be treated the way I was this whole week by them…

On Unilocal it says they open at 9am. Get there at 8:40am and they’re already opened. 8am is when they open.
The employee is very nice and helpful. They seem to lack employees so the wait time for an oil change is ridiculous. The oil I needed was not in stock so it had to be delivered and that increased the wait time. I could of went somewhere else for faster service but I have a credit card here and needed to use it to keep it up to date (revolving). I’ve had an oil change done here before on another car and it was done correctly and in a more faster time. So it’s a hit or miss type of situation.
I do recommend this service station for just «Tires» and maybe «Oil Changes». I read other reviews and c’mon now, I wouldn’t come here to drop a new engine in my car! Ppl coming here to have all these other things done to their car and have complaints. Of course you will have complaints, It’s a tire shop! I would barely have them check my brakes. I wouldn’t even let them change a bulb or wash my car! Me coming here for even just an oil change would be like going to McDonalds for the water. Their signature/​specialty is Tires! That’s really what you want them to be touching on your car, IS TIRES!

Brian’s the owner of this place and he does an awesome job. He will help you call around to search for better deals if you need a particular part so you can save some money. And he’ll be upfront with you on what needs to be fixed on your car so you know what’s going on. He definitely helps you take care of your car, so go see him for all your car needs!

If you need tires, then this place is the place to go. Friendly and fast service. Brian S. knows his stuff and will address your car’s tire needs. I spoke with Brian about his past, low ratings and it’s attributed to the previous owner. Brian is the new owner and those old reviews don’t do this place justice.

i pretty much ALWAYS Unilocal new places before going to them but didnt this time and i wish i did! i dropped my car off here for a simple oil change and came back to find i couldnt start my car. they drained my battery! they then proceeded to tell me it was old and i needed to buy a new one. i said ‘i’ll buy it somewhere else’, had them jump it and i haven’t had problems since. i cant believe they tried making me buy a new one! SCAMMERS!

Avoid avoid avoid! These guys are a joke. I had to return multiple times because they could not get my alignment right. Seriously?! The whole process is done by a computer, how could they screw this up? Well, they did. First time, the steering wheel was crooked, one my pet peeves. Second time, fixed they steering wheel but then the car pulled to the right. Third time, after their typical long wait and BS estimated time till completion, I left never to return. Come on, I took them a Honda CRX (civic), it would be hard to find another car easier to work on and they still screwed it up.
Don’t go here unless you like headaches. Their tires are overpriced too.

Please do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid this location. I had a starter go out on my car and had the car towed to this shop in downtown Hayward.. After being assured that they could do more than just tires, I left my car there. They replaced the starter and then called me and said it wasn’t a starter issue but an ignition switch. Of course, they billed me for the starter my car did not need. They replaced the ignition switch but also bent a metal terminal (found out later at a qualified auto repair garage) causing my car to have NO horn, no heat/​air/​no headlights, no windshield wipers functioning. In all, they had the car for THREE days and kept making excuses about the work delays. I told them I would be down to pick my car up on Day number 3 and when I turned the key the car was backfiring and stalling awfully. The manager (if you can call him that) denied doing anything wrong. I threatened small claims action and took the car to an ASE certified garage where he found they botched: 1) the install of the starter 2) the install of the ignition switch 3) screwed up the car’s timing. They also DOUBLE BILLED me for the ignition switch which they admitted to when consumer affairs did an investigation. They are incompetent, non-​responsive, and could care less.
I also have a friend who went there for a simple oil change and they forgot to put the cap back on resulting in oil spewing all over her engine the next day.
The BBB also has a number of unresolved complaints against them. I’m not making this stuff up. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
