A Step A’Head Salon

I have been going to this lady for almost 4 years and this is the worst my hair has ever been. First she had me doubled booked with another person (which i didn’t find out till i got there) so that pushed my appointment to be way longer than what it should have been. I got box braids for only the top part of my head cause the rest of my head is shaved off. I got to the shop at 10:45am and didn’t leave until 2:46pm. There were times where I was just sitting in the chair not being worked on! She didn’t ask me if I wanted my ends dipped or burned, she just dipped them. They started unraveling before I got home! I had to pay $ 100 for only the top of my head! I’m glad we parted ways cause if that’s the work she’s going to be doing then I don’t want any part of it. Please check my pictures.

Kathy is wonderful and will make you feel like you are in good hands immediately. She is professional, attentive and gentle. Good for all ages.
Worth a trip!

The owner greeted me with such professionalism and a combo deal for $ 25. I can only speak on the pedicure and gel set I received. I ended up being charged $ 48. It was no where near a $ 48 job. The technician was shaking so bad while cutting my cuticles. Bottom line I walked out very unsatisfied and the next day after inspecting more the top coat was applied so thin on my feet its streaky… I repainted my feet to my liking. My nails are missing gel in certain areas. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Got my nails done here for the first time. Horrible job. I was so embarrassed the lady who did my nails probably wasn’t even certified to do so because they were just that bad. I could’ve done a better job myself. Not to mention my cuticles were raw and bled in several places after I left. Do not waste your time here.

Started coming here about 6 months ago and haven’t stopped coming since… Fresh braids… Wet designs … Great hospitality … Comfortable environment… Fast and clean job that last… Hit up Kathy for appointments…

Kathy is amazing! My locs were in trouble before I met Kathy, she is sincerely concerned with helping you achieve your best look in the most healthiest way with quality products and time well spent on your crown. The first time I went, I bought my son and he was welcomed also unlike many salons that don’t want children inside. The entire staff is polite and well trained, and now my son are also clients. She is the most affordable qualified professional stylist, I ever met. I have told all of my friends who have straight hair, curly, short styles, perms, natural etc… she even has jewelry and pure (uncut) scented oils for both men and women, cute earrings and tubs of raw Shea Butter. Kathy’s salon is really a step a’head in all the services offered on one place. Also, I love the other part of her salon that is a lovely boutique. A pleasant experiences everytime.
